I just began using Version X4 of Corel VideoStudio Pro.
I just used it for the first time after upgrading from X3. I rendered a short video and when I tried playing it back the slide moves across the "time bar" BUT there is no motion on the screen. The same when I tried to play it w/Windows Media player.
I started coverting MPEG 4 video to DivX which always worked in X3. No I get no motion at all and no sound. Do I have a bad download?
Running Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.
I am embarrassed to ask such a basic question--but the majority of my media are still pictures for a bridal slide show, and I was wondering how to manually render "pan and zoom" like effects for each photo as the dimensions differ and I want to crop out the extra "black space" from my vertical pictures.
Most of these pics were scanned in at 600 dpi (they are old as the hills), but I also have a crop of jpgs they sent at 92 dpi...
I wish I were more savvy--I JUST purchased Corel Video--having used Roxio products for the past 5 years (wanting to take it up a notch).
I have the DSLR 7D and it has these wonderful 720/50p module which could offer some amazing slo-mo, if you use it. Is this possible to do with my program, or do I need a better program like Vegas from Sony?
I have recently completed a new project and made a video file (using the DVD option). This video file plays perfectly with media player etc., but when I the burn a DVD from the file all I get is the pictures with no sound.
I am using VS Pro x4 ultimate - what I am missing (apart from the sound! )
Within a DVD menu I created a motion menu. However I don't want to have the first clip as introductory video for the motion menu. I unmarked the checkbox named "use first clip as introductory video and added, in the first page of the Share - DVD, the clip that must be played in the motion menu (moved the clip most left).
In the menu itself its now fine when nothing is selected, though when selecting the total video to play, the selected video file of the motion menu starts to play where the first video file (clip) must be played. I know that in the main menu I can select the first clip to play as well but that's exactly what I want to avoid..
I removed all chapters since I don't like to have a sub-menu. Just one overall main menu to play the total video, and in the DVD menu in the motion menu only, I want to see (and not select) the chosen clip.
I am a user of VS X4 Pro but I have not used it for a long time until now...
When I loaded a video from my camera into the library and from there into the timeline I got a problem. When editing in clip-mode the clip appears in slow motion with a noisy sound! When running in Project-mode the clips appear OK. When rendering the result is OK but it is difficult not to work normally in clip-mode.
What can be the problem? Have I changed by mistake any parameter in preferences? I can´t remember that I have had those problems before...
I have a Canon SX50 HS digital camera that's (in my opinion) a great camera. I don't know if it's a DSLR or not but if it's supported or not to make stop motion videos? Also, why not??? Really??? My webcam works with stop motion but my Canon camera can't? I paid 500.00 for a camera that I can't use with VS Ultimate X6? If not, whats so Ultimate about it?
I'm using a freshly installed VideoStudio Pro x5, so all settings are standard.
I imported XXX.MTS files (AVCHD) from a camcorder into VSX5.
Info on the files File format: NTSCVideo Type H. 264 29.97 fps Audio Type: Dolby Digital 48khz , 2 ch Bite rate 18.00Mbps
If i preview the files before putting them into the project, there is no sound, movie plays fine. If i add them to the project and select "project" instead of clip there is sound... If i add them to the project and select "clip" instead of project there is no sound...
I import any mpg file which are known to have sound and when i ty to play it there is no audio at all from Pro X3. This has been working all along and it just seems to have stopped. I have made sure of the obvious things. We get sound from other apps so the computer and speakers are fine. I have checked the sound icon from within Pro X3 and it is turned up to max.
Whenever I import an AvI file into Corel Video Studio Pro X5 there is no sound whatsoever. Other file types work fine, but any and all AVIs I try will not play back any audio. I have tried at least a dozen from different origins and no success.
I'm outputting DV-AVI files filmed on a Sony A1 in DV CAM as MPEG-4 videos for upload to Vimeo.
The projects and source files are:
PAL (25 fps) Microsoft AVI files 24 bits, 720 x 576, 16:9, 25 fps Lower Field First Matrox DV/DVCAM -- type 2 PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
I have been outputting to upload the files to Vimeo as: MPEG-4 Files 24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps Frame-based H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps 44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
My question is if there's any benefit or drawback to outputting at 256 Kbps sound instead of 128? The file sizes are pretty similar (I guess the extra sound quality takes a bit of the picture kbps instead?) but I can't notice a difference with either image or sound quality.
I have a short project which I am trying to burn on to a DVD. When I play the DVD after I have successfully burned the project, I get video but no sound. I have tried both normalize audio checked and unchecked with the same results. I am using DVD-video as the recording format. I am running VS Pro x4.
Using VS Pro X2 on a 2.67GHz i5 with 4GB of memory running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Had lots of problems creating this project as during rendering to DVD or to a file it would get about 80% and then get the dreaded "Program not responding" message from Windows 7 Home Premium. I solved that problem by reducing the size of the many images that I had in the project and successfully rendered to an mpg file which has sound ok.
Now when I try to render to a DVD, at the preview stage there is no sound, but there was sound before I reduced the size of the images in the project.
I am using VideoStudio X5. Generally video clips in various formats play properly in VS - except for MPG clips. In the case of those, the sound is very "echoey". In other words all the sound is repeated just a second or so later even though I know it is fine in the original. I do not have the same problem in other formats such as avi or wmv.
I'm using win7, and just from today, x4 has stopped giving any sound output. Playing mpg files I can see the sound levels in the mixer, but there's no output audio. I can hear mpg audio in other players, just not in Corel.
I am attempting to transfer old VHF video to DVD. Using Hauppauge win Tv capture I achieve a surprisingly good quality sound and vision when capturing and all appears well. But! when I play back the VSP, after approx 2 seconds the sound starts going out of sync and progressively gets further and further out of sync, at worst approx 1 min separation. I hoped that after rendering this would correct itself, but no. I am using UVS 1.
I am using Corel Video Studio Pro X4, I have asked the below questions previously, so far there has not been a solution. It appears Corel do not have any way to contact them when there is a problem
I chose this programme over Cyberlink Power Director as it had the 5.1 mixer and 3D capabilities. I now find Power Director Ultra 10 now has the 3D Capability, the 3D works very well, but no 5.1 mixer only a pesudo type 5.1 sound, the programme itself looks to be excellent quality.
Should there be no solution to my above problems, then the only choice I have is to use Power Director, a pity.
My previously posts are below -

I own a copy of Corel Video Studio Pro X3. Since installing the patches for it, the sound stutters on the finished videos that I make. Original files are fine. I had this problem on the previous computer I used this program with, and after searching this forum, found a hotfix for it. Unfortunately the hotfix link is no longer working.
I am editing videos (that need to be completed urgently) in Corel Pro X4 and have serious troubles. VSP file looks absolutely fine during Project preview. Yet when MP4 file is produced (iphone/ipad HD format as suggested originally by support for the web) – then the sound disappears after a few minutes.I tried to play this MP4 of a few different computers and it looks the same. I am in deep sh…t with all my 20 videos.
I do have an video cd contain an mpeg 1 file and I am trying to convert it to dvd PAL I start the VS x12 trying to create a dvd but it is creating it without no sound so I try to make it as an iso file an I mount it to playing it in windows media player same problem the media player playing it without no sound so I tried to create an mpg2 file with 720x576 and 3500 constant video data rate Audio format :mpeg /stereo 224kb/s When I am doing this the mpg working very well with sound normally in media player so I try to create a dvd from this mpg file the same problem happen again the VS x12 create the dvd without sound.
I am new to this, I have just bought EasyCap adapter with audio it came with VideoStudio 10.0 and I am trying to copy my old holiday videos from my Hitachi VM-E210e 8mm camcorder which plays fine on the tv with sound but I only get a picture on my preview screen on my laptop and the sound from the room not from the video, the camcorder uses a yellow and white jack plugs to a usb, so the picture is ok but the sound is not from the recorded tape in the camcorder. i am using win 7 Home Premium, also I am totaly confused as to what to save them as (dvd, wmv etc etc) I would like to save them to disks to give to the family to work on their dvd players and computers.
Opened VideoStudio to re run an old .vsp file and the sound had disappeared completely. I checked using a music file and again there was no sound. Other programs are fine, Youtube works OK and my Microphone is still operating.
The loss of sound seems to only affect VSx5. I cannot work out if it is the program that has corrupted or I have pressed the wrong button. I have checked all the usual suspects like the mute buttons and these are OK.
I somehow caused my sound track to overlap. I can't seem to remove it. Down at the bottom of the picture looks like a white X on the bottom music track.
I hesitate to mess with it much because I had two video tracks and spend some time getting them synced.
I have Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X6 and am having problems rendering clips in slow motion.
I have recorded at 50p in full HD. In Video Studio I have slowed the clips down to 25%, and when I do a preview in the editor, it looks fantastic. However when I render to a MP4 file it looks terrible. You can see every frame.
How do I render and get at least the same quality as I get in the preview window?
Here is the video I am talking about. [URL]...... through to about 30 seconds to see the jumping.
The video I am editing is of a school orchestra concert. The players are seated in place, not moving. However, the camera is sometimes panning, so that if the title remains at the same place on the screen, it ends up moving over different heads. I would like the title to remain at the same place in relation to the orchestra, even when the camera pans.
Track Motion could be used to do that, correct?
I tried it, following the directions in the user guide, which seemed quite complex. I set a tracker with track motion (beginning the same time as the title starts), then right-clicked the title and chose "match motion".
After doing that, playing back the project, I now see no title at all on the video. The only way I could see the title again was to "remove motion".
Using Videostudio Pro X5. Captured video using GoPro at 240fps. Video imports fine. I want to edit the video in slow motion. I'm using the "speed/time lapse" option - I set the speed at "25%".
However the outcome is that the video is choppy as if it's throwing away frames. At this setting I should be getting decent smooth frame rates but this is not the case. I'm looking to end up with at least 25-30 fps.
There ought to be a way to do this, but I don't see how: I record forums, and the presenter frequently wanders back and forth across the stage. I can use the motion tracker to track his wanderings (since the camera is set to a fairly wide angle). What I want to do with the motion tracking information is have the presenter's clip pan back and forth as he walks forth and back - with the net result that he stays in the center of the screen. (I'd use a zoomed portion of the image so that there would be enough to fill the frame.
Is there a way to do this? It would make forum recording so much easier.
I have a clip where I have tracked the motion of two eyes (not the eyemovement, but the location). The tracking is awesome by the way. The placeholders are following the movement very good. My goal is to have some kind of effect on the eyes (scary, sci-fi etc), like lens flare coming out of them. But I can't figure out how to add this effect to the motion I have tracked. I have tried adding the effect to the place holders, but it looks very ugly and they are still just a couple of squares.
how I can add an effect to a motion track like this..?
