View 1 RepliesUsing Corel VS X4. I am trying to reduce or remove wind noise from video clips. These clips also have narration, which at times is inaudible due to the background wind noise! Any way to remove or reduce this background noise?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been unsuccessful in adding voice over to a project that I have created. Have tried using both the built-in microphone on my laptop and a plug-in one. When I activate voice-over the adjustment for volume does not function and nothing is recorded when I try.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAt the EDIT step, the voice level of each HD clip is in reasonable level, but during playback of the entire project the voice level droped down. Also after rendering the voice level is still low. On the other side, the voice level of imported music from audio CD doesn't changed. Is it suppose to be so? I am using the Pro X4 program.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIn VS x3 I had the ability to tweak voice sounds. The voice track could be made to sound like chipmunks or various other sounds. Now with X$ that ability seems to be gone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that it is possible to overlap sound clips. Just wanting to know does this automatically add fade to the end of the first clips and start of the second clip - my testing could not confirm that. Also is there some documentation on overlapping sound clips as I could not find anything in the handbook.
Also a possible problem I have encountered (I could repeat it too). When I add a video clip to the overlay track at times when I select it (left mouse click) VS Pro X4 appears to FREEZE and I cannot do anything within VS such as select something else. If I then select 'Show Desktop' (from the icon in my quick start bar) and then click anywhere in the desktop and then reselect VS from the bar at the bottom of screen I am returned to VS and it is not in freeze mode again.

X4 will not record sound only from the built in mics or even worse the sound input jack ===> error can not open the wav in device
Now it seems that this is only when in 5.1 mode - works ok when it's normal mode.....
Is there a way to show the voice pattern and the clip in video track one. I want to see the voice print, so I can make a cup without cutting off part of a sentence when cut out part of a clip.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there. When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm struggling with a stock agency on a few images where the rejection is for "Artifact" and "Noise". First, let me ask - are these the same? They sometimes list these problems independently. They state that "camera setting and RAW processing are the likely cause". I don't "think" my camera settings are the problem - 100 ISO, 16.7mp RAW's.
So the question is this; how do I tell if I have these issues in a file? They are inspected at 100%.
Next, if I have these issues, what is the best way to fix them? I know of the noise reduction filter, however, not sure of the best settings. Or, should I be considering 3rd party software?
way to remove noise from picture taken by digital camera (particular those taken at low light condition)? These noise are scattered all around the picture. I tried to use the filter -> Noise --> reduce noise function, but the result is not good. There are still plenty of little grains when viewed at 1:1 scale. If I apply the neutralize, the whole picture will be blurred out.

At areas where the contour lines get too close, squares appear in between the image (See attached photo). Is there a good way to remove these extra squares in the contour lines rather than tracing the lines manually?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you import a video that has image noise into Photoshop cs6 is there a way of removing it? Is it done in the same way as what you would do in removing noise from a photograph?
View 1 Replies View Related1. When to apply noise reduction is very positive and unequivocal.
2. There are no two ways about it.
3. You better get it correct.

PS: Is the DxO RAW converter still considered to be the best noise removal software on the market. How well will it do on my old JPEGs.
I have rather large blueprint that is black and white. Their is some noise around some of the black lines / text / etc on the drawing that I want to get rid of as well as get rid of the white back round all together (which I am hoping will reduce the file size a bit).
How to best remove the white backround / remove the noise from this large drawing?
I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I have pictures that have different objects over a canvas like/un uniform back ground.
I need to remove that background without any part of the objects them self.
I mange to get most of the background out using the magic wand , but i'm left with many random single/groups of noise pixels left in the picture since they were not captured with the magic wand.
most of the time i can remove those using the eraser or use the selection tools with different shapes around the pixels and press delete.
but those methods take lots of time, specially around a complex objects and as i'm getting near to them, i need to make my selections/eraser radius smaller and smaller.
I have tried to use a plugin called "Reduce Noise" that i found , but it does not work.
faster way how to remove this noise pixels without any part of the objects?
a plugin that "scans" the image/selected area and remove all pixels that are surrounded by transparency in it?
p.s I can't always select only the object/s itself/them self and just move it/them to a new picture.
p.s.2 maybe a plugin that the user can choose up to what size, a group of pixels, should be removed ?
In VideoStudio 6, how does one connect the voice track to the video during the editing process?
My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
Whenever I use any transition, it causes a flash of white noise on the video as the transition starts. It goes away if I make the transition very very long.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two cameras to use to make videos...a sony cybershot and a webcam. The Sony takes nice close videos, but there is a terrible loud buzzing noise coming from the track when I try to edit it. However, the webcam has no buzzing noise but I don't like it because of the poor quality the video is, close up. So I'd like to use the Sony but I can't deal with the buzzing noise. My question is, is there any way to mute the noise from the camera and add a voice over. I want to narrate my videos anyway but my voice is not loud enough to overcome the buzzing from the camera.
I tried everything I can think of the stop the buzzing from the Sony but I can't figure it out. The buzzing sound happens on all programs I use, not just Video Studio.
I unplugged different devices while testing including a cordless phone and wireless mouse. The funny thing is, is that the webcam used to do the same thing but not anymore. But I just can't use it because the video sucks.
why the .WAV file is nothing but white noise when placed on timeline? Rendered as white noise also. plays ok in WMP or QT or VLC?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI edited the project-properties to HD, according to the hints Trevor gave in this topic:
[URL]
As a work-round----Change the project properties to use 1920 x 1080 and your images will be 1920 x 1080.
Settings-Project Properties (Alt+Enter)
Edit File Format ---Microsoft Avi Files
Edit
Avi Tab
Compression to Microsoft Video 1 (there may be others you can use—Div X ??)
General Tab
Frame Size---User Defined to 1920 x 1080
Ok now the screen shots should all use the larger image size.
Is there a method or a filter I can use to reduce the speckled effect of video amplifier noise?

I am having a problem with way slow audio in Ulead Videostudio 11.5 plus. I know it's an older version, but the format is similar or the same for some of the programs and maybe someone else has had that issue on even a new software version.
I managed to make some music videos with the software, after going to Youtube, as the manual for the software really isn't that great in all honesty. it simply doesn't tell you much detail on doing things. Putting in a music track to the video clips and then turning the sound on each clip all the way down wasn't a problem, but now that I want to do a normal video-I'm finding the sound in the virtual clip or whatever(which I recorded into my digital camera-mov. files), plays like Jabba the Hut off Starwars!
What do I do here to make it sound normal and be able to edit properly and share it in normal sound?I tried splitting the audio and then it sounded normal, BUT it still had that nasty slow sound on the audio. No matter if you mute it or pull the sound down in the video/audio clips in editing. How do I get rid of that slow sound or change it to make it right? Do I even need to split audio there?
So I go to edit some video and now all of a sudden there is no sound/audio playback in any of my clips. The files are fine. They play fine in other software, and in other editing software as well. But this is the my software of preference and I can't use it. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The same thing has also happened to my DVD Workshop 2 software. And the same thing happened to at least 3 previous versions of VideoStudio. Everything works great and then one day BAM, no audio. The data is there because if I go ahead and render it again and play the new file on something else the audio is still there. So the problem is only on Corel/Ulead products. As a matter of fact I just downloaded the VS X3 demo. I cannot find anything about it online anywhere. If I cannot figure this out I am NEVER going to buy another Corel/Ulead product again. And I am a longtime user, way back to version 3 or 4. And for some idiotic reason I keep buying the new versions.
