Photoshop cs6 Video Editing and I have a problem with the sound of an imported file.The Video-file has .mov extension. When I play this file with Quicktime-player everything is alright...When I import this file in Photoshop CS6 there is no sound!

Importing video AVCHD (home video) - video plays fine....but i hear no sound.
Pumped up volume on PSE video screen and computer master volume...but still no sound. It cant be that difficult to get sound...could it?
All i did was import the video from my C drive into PSE 11. When i play the video on windows media player, it plays fine. I hear the sound perfectly at 5.1 surround. So i know the movie file is good.....so why wont the sound import into PSE 11?
My camcorder is new 2013. SonyHD w/ 5.1 surround sound
I would think there would be no compatibility issues since i am using latest PSE 11 and a newer camcorder.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but when I go to import a .wav file it's greyed out.

View 6 Replies View Related i edit video tutorials in Photoshop CS6. The voice is on its own mono audio track. The voice track will be cut multiple times within Photoshop to adapt to the ongoings in the video. After editing the audio track in Audacity (or sometimes Audition) i wonder which file format i should use for the audio – so that i can import it and easily cut it in Photoshop CS6.
I used MP3 192 kBit, but it seems that sometimes i cannot exactly mark the millisecond where i want to cut. The marker bar jumps around and I get uncontrollable results. Of course this can be a general cache problem, but i wonder if there is a certain audio file format that's best to edit (file can be uncompressed and large). I do make long pauses in speech in order to get more easily cuttable tracks.
If i use MP3, is VBR more difficult to edit? Should it be another file format altogether? Photoshop CS6 imports these audio file formats:
AAC, M2A, M4A, MP2, MP3, WMA, WM,
some of which can't be written with the audio softwares i use.
I'm using a freshly installed VideoStudio Pro x5, so all settings are standard.
I imported XXX.MTS files (AVCHD) from a camcorder into VSX5.

If i preview the files before putting them into the project, there is no sound, movie plays fine.
If i add them to the project and select "project" instead of clip there is sound...
If i add them to the project and select "clip" instead of project there is no sound...
I updated my VSX5 with SP1 but it didn't work...
No type of sound file i try to add to my animation is working.

The error says "Not enough memory"
I have 2 computers.
On computer 1, I import a MTS file and it has sound. All good.
On Computer 2., iimport the same MTF file and it has no sound.
Both machines have CS6. Windows 7 and as already mentioned, same MTS file ( coming from Panasoic Camcorder)
Running Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.

View 2 Replies View RelatedVS11+,Firefox,XP Home.I have imported a WAV file from my hard drive ,it is 705bps and 99.7 kb, it plays in Windows Media Player but there is no sound when played in the music track.Initially I raised the vol to 200(it was to play with a file in the other sound track) as I could not hear it.It played once.Then, VS "encountered a prob and had to close" and the file has remained silent ever since.The wav file still plays in WMP.

After the file completes rendering, the project preferences default is set to play the rendered file. But I find that when the playing commences after rendering, the sound has an echo effect that isn't part of the original files. Like the original sound is reflecting off walls, and you get the same sound just spaced apart by a small time period. I've tracked this to what appears to be X5 playing both the rendered file and the project file at the same time. If I turn the project preferences item "play after render" off, off course nothing happens after rendering completes. And separately playing the rendered file, the sound is normal.
Is there a way to stop this echo effect? Ideally, just play the rendered file only. But failing that, change the preferences default. However, there does not seem to be any way to change the project preferences default for this item.
When the video file is saved and burn on DVD disc and play on a DVD player, only the images appear on the TV screen but there is no sound coming out from the speakers. I'm using Studio Pro X4

I have existing roads, towns etc data that are already set to UTM 17. I want to import ascii point coordinates (from a comma delimited file) into the file. I can import the ascii coordinates as points fine (easting and northing), however the points come in as the absolute coordinates rather than geometric coordinates. I already set the files for right geographic projections. Beyond manually inputing the coordinates into the coordinate tracker, is there a way to import the coordinates form the file set for the geometric coordinates?

On page 33 under the heading "DGN Support", it says the following:
Complex linetypes are now maintained! To ensure that custom linetypes are displayed, copy the corresponding .rsc files to the support path...........
The way I read that, Acad will read the RSC file and display linetypes from it. Is that true? Does it only work when I'm looking at a DGN file? Or can I use the RSC file with my dwg file? I'd test it myself but I don't have access to any MicroStation files.
If Acad can read the RSC file directly, then I don't see why the linetypes can't be used in a dwg file. AND that being the case, I also don't see why an Autodesk product can't be created to WRITE these RSC files. As far as I'm concerned MicroStation's custom linestyles is so much more advanced than Acad's linetypes.
I have several AVCHD folders I've copied to my HD in the last year from my Panasonic HDCSD20. Now I'm ready to edit them in VSX4. Is there any advantage to using "file/import media file to library" (which makes a copy in the working folder) vs just clicking on the folder icon and adding them? I've looked at the file size on both the original clip and the imported one and they are identical. It does seem as though VS extracts the original date and time shot and uses that as the imported file name,

Each layer in all documents are named correctly for automatic script exporting to PNG files.
Now I want to import all layers from all ten documents into one master file. And importantly, I want to keep the exact names of each layer.
I have a problem importing some .3ds files into my Photoshop CC on PC. The problem is that the layers seem to re-arrange themselves in 3D space. When opening the same file in Cinema 4D there is no problem. The looks flawless? Is there an import option that I have overlooked?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI think the title speaks for itself. Someone has sent me an Illustrator file CS6. I open it in AI CS6 and can see all the layers. I don't use AI much (newbie) and want to sub an image and add another layer in PS (CS6).
I export the file, with all layers intact, as a PSD. I have the "write layers" and "preserve text editability" and "maximum editability" checked. I then drag into PS and the image is there as a single layer only. I've reviewed a video tutorial and appear to be doing exactly what is shown (except his opens up showing layers).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have PSCS3 Extended and have downloaded and installed the Google 3D Warehouse plugin. I can access the plugin which takes me to the Google 3D website and I can navigate to and download 3D models. However, when the model is actually brought into Photoshop, it looks very strange. The model is only visible in fixed shape area that appears to be the shape of the initial 3d model. But when I rotate and move the model, it simply slides the view of the image inside the fixed shape area. Very strange. I've tried this with about 8 different downloaded KMZ (Google Earth 4) models and they all do this same strange behavior. Additionally, I downloaded Google's free SketchUp program. The models load and appear fine in that program. I've exported from that program, but the files still have the same problem when loaded up into Photoshop.

I am trying to make custom contact sheets and would kie to build an action that would amongst other things automatically get the file name, so that I would not have to type the info in. I know this is done in the contact sheet feature but I am trying to make something nicer.
