I haven't altered the material, at least not consciously. As you can see in the image the dark areas of the terrain have turned into this nasty black mess. The project as a whole has a long way to go, including the material used for the terrain etc
View 1 RepliesI have blocked out a character in 3ds Max. I then took it into Mudbox to sculpt and paint. Once finished I updated the charcter back in 3ds Max. When i render the character i am getting unwanted shadows (refer to image). This is happening with a lot with all my 3d geometry i am creating lately. I have tried flipping the normals. I have no lights in the scene.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter I import a .3ds model, then select the brush tool, the paint either seems to mirror itself on the model or paints the entire y axis. What is happening: If I dab my brush on the model a dot appears symmetrically on both sides of the model. If I use one small stroke the entire y axis on the model gets painted. However I have not found much discussion of the issue I'm having. Most of what I'm seeing says Import > Paint.I'm using Photoshop CC

How this effect might have gotten there so that I can avoid having it happen again? The screen makes a 360 degree revolution. The video consists of on image on the main track with 6 pip tracks.
Unwanted Effect
When I view an image at full screen a slight ripple effect appears, I thought it was just an issue with my GPU rendering settings and the ripple goes away when I zoom in on the image.
The problem is this ripple effect is showing up on the printed image.
I designed an image in Photoshop CS6 and brought it in After Effects I wanted to add rain then following CC drizzle effect so that the image I designed looks like the drizzle is hitting the character shoulders and arm area.
As I add the drizzle effect I have some areas around the charcter that the drizzle is also hitting how do I remove the unwanted drizzle effect areas ?I tried eraser tool but that did not work unless Im doing that wrong.
The last thing I'm having touble with, how do I get my audio sound effect ( rain sound ) to play at the same time as the rain fall effect and drizzle effect all at the same time?
When adding a grain pattern effect to an object in Illustrator CS6 I get an odd bevel that surrounds the object. There is nothing in the Appearance window to suggest that there should be a bevel and I didn't add it myself.
Is there some setting I am missing or an easy way to remove the effect? For now I am masking the object with a slightly smaller object but it's starting to drastically increase the size of my file.
I was just wondering what effects rendering speed the most, the GPU or the CPU?

I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have made a small 10x10 px. pic (lets say it's a diamond shape), and want to enlarge this to, say, 500x500 px. to get a sort of "digital" effect, where you can see the pixels clearly.
I use free transform to do this, and it looks fine until I press "enter" to confirm transformation.
Then the pic suddenly gets very blurry, like the "feather" effect.
So does anyone know if it's possible to enlarge pictures of this size, and keep the edges "un-feathered"? I've looked around, and can't seem to find a solution ("feather" and "anti-aliasing" is set to "0").
Alternative is if you know a way to make the same effect without having to enlarge the pic.
Im having difficulty with having a unwanted reddish cast to my pics when desated in CS2, it has been suggested that im not using the standard colour profile, how do i find out and if necessary change it.

Repro: Import any footage to a new project - any resolution or frame rate. Create new composition from clip. Type in "Crop" in effects search Double click to load it. Result is an effect called "Wigglerama" & "transform" gets loaded instead of the required "Crop" effect

The resulting H.264 files have an AAC audio track (presumably, with nothing but zeros, because there is no audio with this material.) How do I prevent Photoshop from adding an audio track?
I don't see a way to delete the audio track from the timeline. I don't see a way to export only video in the Render Video settings.
I am retouching scanned images. Here is an enlarged portion of one of the images, to show the type of retouching that I need to do. The green dots are part of the image, and the white background is the color of the paper:
In this case, I want to completely remove the brown spot, and I have selected it with the Patch tool. I want to replace the selected area with the edge of one of the other green dots, and the white background.
Photoshop has the tendency to blend in the unwanted color (brown, in this case) into the replacement pixels. How do I avoid that from happening?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn pasting items from one dwg. to another and the ucs being the same orientation in both dwgs. the ucs in the receiving dwg. wonders around to various orientations when trying to pick the target pasting point. Objects are 3D, working in that environment. Had no trouble pasting one object into the dwg. as per normal but trying to repeat the process at a different location in the same dwg. the grief started. Ending up climbing walls!! Have been working this procedure for a couple of months and only now this problem has arisen.

At first, I converted them all to GIFs with transparent backgrounds, but that was starting to create major lagtime in accessing the site. Now I'm trying to convert the originals to JPGs with a background color that matches the website background, but my background colors aren't consistent, and I can't figure out why.
I started by taking the color I was using on the website and used that to paint the background of the photo. When I loaded that JPG on the site, the color did not match the page's background color. I used the eyedropper on the picture and found out the color was no longer the same color I specified (it wasn't an issue of eyeballing it incorrectly,... I had entered in the exact R, G, and B values).
I did some further testing with the "Save for Web" function and various RGB values to see if there was some pattern to the testing. It doesn't appear that colors are being scewed to a value relative to the original color, nor does it appear that the colors are mapping to certain nearby values.
When I open a Threshold layer (or any other Adjustment layer), CS4 opens an Adjustment Layers pallet (or Tab Group or whatever it's called) and leaves it there, even if I delete the Threshold layer. To get rid of the Tab Group, I have to manually close it. That's annoying.
CS3 let me add a Threshold layer (or any other Adjustment layer) without opening the Adjustment Layers pallet.
Is there a place I can click in CS4 to tell it to not open the Adjustment Layers pallet whenever I add an Adjustment layer?
I do not need some of the extensions for saving images.They clutter the pulldown menu and I would like to remove them. I found some of the extensions and just renamed them to some other name to block them out.However, some extensions like .SCT can not be found that way. Does anyone know how to block them in CS2 and CS4?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently started an internship with a company who makes radiators for power transformers. The first task they have given me is to clean up their plant layout file. The file currently has 125 layers in it due to machine blocks dragging in unwanted layers whenever they bought new machines. (presses, rolling machines, powdercoating, welding, ect...) I have been having trouble getting rid of and simplifying their floor plan. I tried creating blocks for each group of machines and changing the layer of the block to the desired layer. This seems to change the block to the right layer, but it still references to the other layers it was previously in. I want to keep the separate colors that show different parts of the machines, but I still need to eliminate the unwanted layers. Is there any way to consolidate the layers while keeping the different colors within the blocks I tried to create?. They have me working on Autocad 2006.
