When starting Xara Designer or Xara Webdesigner, I always get an introduction page (getting started...) and I always have to close this page before starting. Is there an option to disable this display and get a blank page instead.

This is not what I want. Selecting groups of objects is almost impossible now. Is it possible to completely disable interactive page resize?

A link on page 1 opens page 3. Is there anyway to have this link also open a popup layer on page 3 when it opens the page?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the 32 bit version of 9 and installed it on my 64 bit laptop.I went that way as I read the 64 bit doesn't support all features and I know my GIS software doesn't in similar type of installations.
I couldn't find any more about running 32 bit version on 64 bit device so expected it should work okay.EDIT - After installation I was prompted with this fact but it did say no problem with running it that way.Just mention here as others may be confused and wonder which version will work on a 64 bit machine.
But when I got past the installation and onto registering it for an extended 30 days I was blocked with the message CSRF blocked...

I have hardly ever used filters for any of my work as I have preferred using Xara's native tools and effects to get what I wanted. But recently, I was inspired by some animation work which used backgrounds painted in Photoshop. They used a lot of textures which enhanced the look of the animation and so I thought I'd try to simulate it within Xara.
It works very well and I can export it as a PSD retaining the layers and Alpha channel. But here come my questions.
1. How can I remove the two Alien Skin demo plugins as I already have the full versions.
2. Why don't the native Photoshop plugins--Artistic, Sketch, etc.--seem to work?
After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe, the company, have been wording with AutoCad for ages now. All in the trusted Windows version. But the Mac is rising! And a couple of our partimers have bought Mac systems. All good and well when they still use the Windows version of AutoCad, but when AutoDesk released the Mac version, they dove on it like lions on a slow moving prey. Still that´s ok. But we work with a Windows based template. Complete with all the layers and pre/set blocks and with pre set pages. We have all the pages from A0 down to A4 format lined up in one paperspacetab. (We use single viewports to fill the pages)
This works awsomely fast and easy, when you disable the 'display prinable area' function. Now the mac-users also want to remove the printable area, so I take a look and: WFT happend to AutoCad?!?, why do they have a Coca-Cola-Zero version of the AutoCad (=Less options than the light version).
Any way to remove the prinable area? Is it posible, or do we have to work around it?
i`m trying to add an intro to a video but no matter what i do and what i search on youtube/google, nothing comes up.what i want to hapen is for my intro to fade away into the video so i can export it and upload it to youtube,but i can`t seem to get that to happen...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch of dwg files (100+) that are Piping and Instrument Diagrams for a refinery. The files sit on a network folder. The filenames are rather cryptic. i.e. 00-P-2-77894.dwg this refers to a location/section in the refinery. In the network directory there is an excel file with all dwg files listed with additional meta data. (Document Title, Created On, Last Modified by, etc...) This is a pain to keep up. I would like to develop an aspx page as a replacement for the excel file that simply lists (ala Windows Explorer Details view) all dwgs in a folder (including columns for filename, Document Title, Created On, etc...). I found the OpenARX SDK. I have a new c#.net website created with references to AcCoreMgd, AcDbMgd, and AcMgd. But after that im stuck. I can iterate through all files in the dir no problem but I'm not sure how to pull attribute information from the dwg files. All examples that I see involve opening the dwg up in some type of viewer and issuing commands. Thats not what I want. I need an aspx page that iterates through a directory of dwgs and lists the attributes in a tabular format.

When it's time for me to export each page as a JPEG or PNG, it's really frustrating that each and every time I have to tell Xara to save the Page, NOT the default Page Content. (Designer Pro 6). I have used the same settings via link but as said this does not work? Do images have to be a certian format for hyperlinks to work?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just tried to fill a page with black-filled hexagons so that they are all aligned perfectly vertically and horizontally. I duplicated and positioned as best I could by hand. Then, I used Alignment>equispace on horiz row selections then vert selections. No matter what I do, it will never be perfect with hand placement, obviously.
Is there a way to fill a page with the hexagons so that it looks like the attachment (ie everything perfectly squared in respect to the page)? I would need perfectly uniform spaces between the shapes so that it comes out perfectly squared with the page. This would be the first step I need to do in making a seamlessly tiled alpha for ZBrush.
Is there a way to set what the default page size when you start XP&GD 2013? It always starts with a page size of A4 which I never use. I have a custom template that I would like to set as the default page size.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Xara Xtreme 5.1. I am trying to add a new page to my file. Its the first time I have attempt to create a new page. At each attempt it duplicates the 1st page and all its layers. I have unchecked the boxes in the Page Options: Page Size: Document: "All pages in the document the same" and "same layers on all pages in document " and pressed "Apply" . I have tried afresh we a brand new file and yet cannot prevent the duplications.

I attach a .jpg to show where the tabs are missing (compared with a screen shot of a video that has the tabs in-place).
I am sure they were there originally but cannot restore them (I tried widows -> control bar -> reset, but that didn't work).
In XP&G7, my "Selector" tool has become the "Page Size" tool and I can't select anything. It just changes my page size. What did I do??
View 9 Replies View Relatedat my old job i could type in 'dim' followed by 'status' and get a page-by-page list of all of the various settings, and the next page would only come up once i hit the space bar, giving me time to look at the current page before moving on. but at my new job when i do it the entire list comes up all at once, which is not good since the entire list does not fit on one page, meaning i don't get to see the first half of the list (or or maybe more). what setting do i need to change in order to see the list one page at a time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am feeling a bit dumb at the moment. How does one print something larger than the "physical" page size--ie., tiled pages--in Designer Pro 6?
I have a drawing that is 3 times the length of US letter size (actual size of the drawing is 7.5" x 30"). US letter size is 8.5" x 11". The page is defined as landscape, so 11" width, 8.5" height.
I regularly do this using another program and will have constant need to do so in the future.
I try Xara Designer Pro X9 and use PDF Export Options with selected objects for page generation (PDF Export Options).
After PDF export done page size is A4 with my rectangle drawing instead page size with my rectangle size. How can I export to PDF selected rectangle with rectangle page size?
Is there any way to default the "Area to Save" option on the export menu, to "Page"? This is nothing crucial, but it would save me some time, because I select that hundreds of times. If I could pre-define "Page", I would be even more happy
