I try Xara Designer Pro X9 and use PDF Export Options with selected objects for page generation (PDF Export Options).
After PDF export done page size is A4 with my rectangle drawing instead page size with my rectangle size. How can I export to PDF selected rectangle with rectangle page size?
When I'm working on a design for which I'm generating options, like a logo, I usually work with one Xara file and a new page for each option. When it's time for me to export each page as a JPEG or PNG, it's really frustrating that each and every time I have to tell Xara to save the Page, NOT the default Page Content. I'm thinking there should be a way for Xara to remember and repeat my last export settings, but I can't find it...

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just switched to using Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 6 for my graphics design needs. Is there any way to create a default page size so that no matter when the program is opened it will always open up to that particular page size?
I am used to working and creating on a full "blank canvas" or pasteboard, rather than using page sizes that Xara seems to prefer. Every time I open the program I have to return to page options to re-set all of my workspace parameters and it gets frustrating after awhile.
For example, my preferred page settings are as follows: Page Size=A0 (which provides me all white space to work in); Outer Margin=0in [8in is always automatically pre-set by the program]; and I always choose Landscape, but the automatic pre-set is always Portrait.
There should be a way for the user to control how the workspace appears each time the program is opened, but how to make my page settings "once" and then have those settings be the default from there on out. It's just time consuming to go into Options every time I open the program and have to re-set everything all over again.
I wanted larger page thumbs and find a setting in XaReg
As the attached screen shot shows, the thumbs are indeed bigger but the gallery width has stayed the same so that the large thumbs are clipped.
P.S. I would like even bigger page thumbs.
Size of page differs in page size dialogue box to that listed in print options box. I changed computers and it works correctly in the second one in that the page size is the same in both boxes, but I still cannot get it to work in the original pc. Both the file and the printer are common. Reinstalling Xara does not work. It looks like it is not installing correctly, even though it appears to be.

Every time I try to upload the file it is seeing it as an 8.5' by 11". I am selecting page size in advanced tab
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a problem delivering a vehicle wrap I designed with XDP 7. The thing is 215" long x 72" height and includes some bitmaps, so it is not 100% vectorial. Now, how do I export that for the printer? They say they need the file 100% scale @ 300 DPI, when some other online dudes say they can do with ~150DPI, to scale the image 1/4, etc.
When I try to export full size, XDP doesnt let me put anything beyond 70 DPI or so, even if I type 300 in the box, it gets rid of the last zero. So....how do I do it????
In Xara Designer Pro 7, when I have selector tool active and want to drag over a number of elements to select them the selector tool will change the size of the canvas (page). Is that not a bug? I used this way of selecting elements often, and it is not good for me with this new behaviour.
Is it a bug or is it a new setting which I then need to change?
Does Xara Designer support the ability to change one object on for example page 1, and that the change propagates to all the same objects on all other pages? I'm doing a lot of web design work, so this would be quite handy, but I haven't found a way to do that.

That some of the Items(Text, Numbers or Lines) in Paper Space are not appearing on the page that they should but instead appearing on the next page. In the location where it should be on the previous page. Is there a way to fix this bleed through or is there a better way to create a Multi-Page PDF other than what I have been doing?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI've been using 2.6 and created a template for multiple business cards on a standard 8.5 by 11 sheet. [URL]
However the later versions ... 2.8 cause distortions when I try to print. ( Canon MG 2120) The standard 8.5 by 11 mysteriously converts to 7.997 by 10.349 inches .... and a weird 318.870 ppi appears. This obviously distorts my template and the 2 by 3.5 inch cards become odd sizes. When I open the template in 2.6, it works perfectly.
What has happened to the later version? i can't reset to inches and even using the 2559 by 3300 pixils with the 1050x600 card sizecan't be printed accurately So I'm now creating in 2.8 and opening in 2.6 to get my sizes correctly.
I love the expanded tools for drawing in the 2.8 ... but this feature is a nuisance ... along of course with the terrible sizing scale for the brushes. SO hard to calibrate the smaller and moe common sizes. Another bad feature.
Have I missed some adjustment somewhere. Using the same printer, same download gives two different prints sizes in 2.6 and 2.8.
I have been trying to crop a section of a given size from a photo along with a 1px border (379 by 285).However when I try to do this the resulting image is 378 by 284. I also wanted to have a slight curve at the corners but can't see how todo it in this version.
View 9 Replies View RelatedCurrently when I "export to Cad format" "dwg" the resulting file is created with the wrong date and time.
I am exporting a view of a floor plan with the naming convension "Automatic - Short" and the "Export views on sheets and links as external references" turned off. When i proceed the resulting file has a date of June 25th 2013 at 4:46pm...today is October 16th , 2013 at 9:08am...according to my computer.
I've tried multiple times over the last couple weeks and have had the same result.The weird part is if I switch to the "Automatic - Long (Specify prefix)" or "Manual (Specify name)" naming convension the date ends up being correct.
The fact that the naming convension doing this and not any of the other settings makes me think it is a Revit issue and not my computer.
I am exporting a 32 image slideshow to PDF (30 photos and a Intro Screen and Ending Screen). I add Sequence as a Text Overlay and it looks fine in LR; the first photo slide, after the Intro Screen, shows as 1/30 and the last, before the Ending Screen, shows as 30/30 in Preview and in Play.
The problem is that, after exporting, viewing the PDF (on my MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.3) shows the first photo slide as 2/30 and the last as 31/30!
I have tried creating the Sequence text overlay manually (by editing Custom and inserting Image and Total fields) but the same thing happens on export.
Will I have to export the images and create the slideshow outside LR? I do hope not - I much prefer staying in the LR environment until the workflow is complete.
If i write a Text in Photoshop CS 6 on a Mac the size of the Font is always wrong. For example: I write a Text in 6 Point which is bigger than a Text in 12 pt. I allready uninstall Photoshop, but i have still this problem. When i transform a textbloc it´s getting worse, seems like the text is getting bigger but the pt stays at the old size

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with gimp 2.8 I've just installed on my new laptop. I'm an artist and use scanned images to colour in GIMP, and in version 2.6 these were displayed with the actual canvas size (A4) and scan resolution. I work with these images and often need to increase the canvas size. In 2.8 the scanned images are displaying with a canvas size around 5 times larger than A4 - I think this is because GIMP is saying the resolution is 72ppi, whereas I scan at 300-400 ppi. My finished jpeg files all display on 2.8 at larger canvas sizes aswell. how to get GIMP to recognize this automatically so that the actual canvas size is shown?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to place a picture in photoshop CS6 either from drag&drop in the application window or from the place command, my image gets automatically resized based on the resolution (pixels per inch) of my document.
Example:
I create a new blank document, 1000*1000px @ 300ppi.I have another image that I want to place in the document and this image measures 500*500px @ 100ppi.I then go to File->Place and the image that appears is way too big. In the Info panel, it says that the image is 1500x1500 and the transform settings at the top indicate that the image hasen't been scaled because both width and height are at 100%.If I cahnge my document resolution (no resample) to 100ppi, the image has the right size when I place it.
Is this normal? Because it has never done that with past versions of Photoshop. If it is normal, is there a way I can change this because placing an image based on it's physical (printed) size makes absolutely no sense. 1 pixel = 1 pixel.
Photoshop is resizing my image and instead of it coming in at about 4" W x 5"H it is coming is at 6" W and 1" H..
View 4 Replies View RelatedA colleague of mine is having the following problem: He has a dwg file (AutoCAD 2010), with all layouts set to a custom sheet of 8.5" x 13" (215.9 mm x 330.2 mm). When he makes the publish to PDF (that is AutoCAD's default PDF option), he gets all the sheets in a ginormous size: 900 mm x 1,600 mm (35.4" x 63"). See image attached.Picture1.jpg
He keeps asking me the favor to publish it, which I do without problem. I have to say that I am using AutoCAD 2012, but before I posted, I tried using yet another PC runing 2010 and there was also no problem at all.
He is able to publish regular size documents without problem. It appears to be just that one file, but only on his PC.
i have to admit i rarely printed from LR before.most of the time i print from photoshop.but yesterday i had to print a lot of small images so i thought i try LR for it.
i wanted to print a few 35x45mm images on DIN A4 paper.
images dimensions are correct (35x45mm 360 DPI) and it prints as 35x45mm images when i use photoshop.
when i use LR and i set the cell size to 35x45mm the prints come out to small by a couple of millimeters.
LR has not so many print settings i could have messed up.. right?
I'm trying to lay out an 8x10 cell in LR5. My page is a custom package and set up as an 8.5x11 sheet . When I click to add an 8x10 cell, I only get a cell that is ~ 8x8 and I have to drag the bottom down to 10".

i create a spot color (lab color management) when i create the pdf the spot color haven't the name setting in CorelDraw. If i export eps it's works greats! i don't convert spot in cmyk i want spot color in lab! i use onyx production house and it want spot color lab to renoze cutcontour or spot color as white ink.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two pictures and I try to copy a small part of one picture to the other.I did a rectangular selection of 2 cm square of the first picture and copied it but when I pasted it in the other picture the selection was now 4.68 cm square.
I suspect that's because the two pictures have not the same resolution. How can I keep the size of the selection from two pictures of different resolution?
I have a svg file that doesn't look right when it's opened in Illustrator:
The letter 'k' is a lot smaller for some reason, when in fact all the elements have the same font size.

The svg looks right to me, and not sure why this happens in Illustrator...but I'm not an expert on svgs and may be wrong.
