i use photo shop cs i want tp put text on a sig i was makeing when i send to put it on i could not see it then i set it for 6 pt and the letters where hugh like 1 letter is 338x363 and one know why this is
I've been using 2.6 and created a template for multiple business cards on a standard 8.5 by 11 sheet. [URL]
However the later versions ... 2.8 cause distortions when I try to print. ( Canon MG 2120) The standard 8.5 by 11 mysteriously converts to 7.997 by 10.349 inches .... and a weird 318.870 ppi appears. This obviously distorts my template and the 2 by 3.5 inch cards become odd sizes. When I open the template in 2.6, it works perfectly.
What has happened to the later version? i can't reset to inches and even using the 2559 by 3300 pixils with the 1050x600 card sizecan't be printed accurately So I'm now creating in 2.8 and opening in 2.6 to get my sizes correctly.
I love the expanded tools for drawing in the 2.8 ... but this feature is a nuisance ... along of course with the terrible sizing scale for the brushes. SO hard to calibrate the smaller and moe common sizes. Another bad feature.
Have I missed some adjustment somewhere. Using the same printer, same download gives two different prints sizes in 2.6 and 2.8.
If i write a Text in Photoshop CS 6 on a Mac the size of the Font is always wrong. For example: I write a Text in 6 Point which is bigger than a Text in 12 pt. I allready uninstall Photoshop, but i have still this problem. When i transform a textbloc it´s getting worse, seems like the text is getting bigger but the pt stays at the old size
When I try to place a picture in photoshop CS6 either from drag&drop in the application window or from the place command, my image gets automatically resized based on the resolution (pixels per inch) of my document.
Example:
I create a new blank document, 1000*1000px @ 300ppi.I have another image that I want to place in the document and this image measures 500*500px @ 100ppi.I then go to File->Place and the image that appears is way too big. In the Info panel, it says that the image is 1500x1500 and the transform settings at the top indicate that the image hasen't been scaled because both width and height are at 100%.If I cahnge my document resolution (no resample) to 100ppi, the image has the right size when I place it.
Is this normal? Because it has never done that with past versions of Photoshop. If it is normal, is there a way I can change this because placing an image based on it's physical (printed) size makes absolutely no sense. 1 pixel = 1 pixel.
Any ideas how ot fix this? Every time I try to enter text, the edges of the text is surrounded/selected with lines going around it....how do I stop that and have it stop turning my image red (Its supose to be brown, until I click it then it turns red), it isnt even using the correct colors that I set it at.
I'm having problems with gimp 2.8 I've just installed on my new laptop. I'm an artist and use scanned images to colour in GIMP, and in version 2.6 these were displayed with the actual canvas size (A4) and scan resolution. I work with these images and often need to increase the canvas size. In 2.8 the scanned images are displaying with a canvas size around 5 times larger than A4 - I think this is because GIMP is saying the resolution is 72ppi, whereas I scan at 300-400 ppi. My finished jpeg files all display on 2.8 at larger canvas sizes aswell. how to get GIMP to recognize this automatically so that the actual canvas size is shown?
I try Xara Designer Pro X9 and use PDF Export Options with selected objects for page generation (PDF Export Options).
After PDF export done page size is A4 with my rectangle drawing instead page size with my rectangle size. How can I export to PDF selected rectangle with rectangle page size?
A colleague of mine is having the following problem: He has a dwg file (AutoCAD 2010), with all layouts set to a custom sheet of 8.5" x 13" (215.9 mm x 330.2 mm). When he makes the publish to PDF (that is AutoCAD's default PDF option), he gets all the sheets in a ginormous size: 900 mm x 1,600 mm (35.4" x 63"). See image attached.Picture1.jpg
He keeps asking me the favor to publish it, which I do without problem. I have to say that I am using AutoCAD 2012, but before I posted, I tried using yet another PC runing 2010 and there was also no problem at all.
He is able to publish regular size documents without problem. It appears to be just that one file, but only on his PC.
i have to admit i rarely printed from LR before.most of the time i print from photoshop.but yesterday i had to print a lot of small images so i thought i try LR for it.
i wanted to print a few 35x45mm images on DIN A4 paper.
images dimensions are correct (35x45mm 360 DPI) and it prints as 35x45mm images when i use photoshop.
when i use LR and i set the cell size to 35x45mm the prints come out to small by a couple of millimeters.
LR has not so many print settings i could have messed up.. right?
I'm trying to lay out an 8x10 cell in LR5. My page is a custom package and set up as an 8.5x11 sheet . When I click to add an 8x10 cell, I only get a cell that is ~ 8x8 and I have to drag the bottom down to 10".
If I click on any text the docker shows the incorrect height of the text. I have typed in an measured a 4" H and the docker display tell me its over 5.5".
I have two pictures and I try to copy a small part of one picture to the other.I did a rectangular selection of 2 cm square of the first picture and copied it but when I pasted it in the other picture the selection was now 4.68 cm square.
I suspect that's because the two pictures have not the same resolution. How can I keep the size of the selection from two pictures of different resolution?
When I'm printing on CorelDRAW X6, it show me the wrong size and orientation , everything was perfect on CorelDRAW X5 and I'm fully updated. What can I do?
I have layouts set to print to a printer in the office, sometimes with different sized sheets. Everything worked perfect until we upgraded from Civil 3d 2013 to 2014. Where I'm gettin a problem now is publishing to PDF. It will cut off the left and right margins of the 11x17 sheets. I've tried everything and looked everywhere but can't keep it from doing that.
Is there anywhere to set the publish to PDF settings? I've played with the DWG to PDF.pc3 settings and no change.
I'm trying the trial version of Photoshop CS6, and I'm wondering whether or not it's possible to change the length of a shape with the amount of text entered into it, with the text still being editable? For example, if I had typed in 'hello', the size of the shape should be just big enough for the text to fit inside, without me having to change anything. On the other hand, if I typed in 'good morning', would I be able to make it so the size of the shape would change for the text to fit without having to use the transform tool?
I'm trying to make annotations for a video, and it would be annoying to have to transform to the correct measurements every single time.
i created a pdf file a long time ago. the text is written in times new roman regular. now when i open the pdf in illustrator it shows a wrong font. i think the wrong font could be new times romance or something) but if mark the text and change the font from regular in bold, it shows the right font (times new roman bold).
how can i change back the text in times new roman regular?
im using cs4 on win7. already checked the fonts in systemfolder
When I use envelope distort on a a chevron shape, the text warps beyond the shape and new anchor points and curves are automatically added. Here are images of [URL]
Image Sizing Dimensions produces wrong image sizes upon export for certain images.
Example, I have export set up for iPad resolution, 2048x1536px at 264ppi. If I now export an 3264x4928px image it should be resized to 1356x2048px. What I get is 1356x2047 instead, one pixel too short on the long side. This doesn't happen for all images source resolutions and ratios though. I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
In civil 3d 2014 i need 2 sections (and a profile) all with different scales in the viewports (layout). Sizing of the labels and bands is all fine, only a text item is not updated. I need to display the scale (the number) for the current section (or profile), it works but the scale shown is always the scale from the model and not the scale from the viewport, so the different scaled sections all have the same text in the label, e.g 1:200, even if they are correctly scaled to different factors in defferent viewports.
I have just discovered that Spot Elevation text is mesbehaving in rotated dependent views:
If you have an orthogonal parent plan view, then create a dependant view from it, then rotate just that dependant view, then place a spot elevation - the spot elevation symbol respects the rotation of the view (ie its paralel to screen/view boundary), but the spot elevation text remains in the orientation of the parent view. see attached image.
This does not happen if you rotate a normal Revit plan view; nor does it happen with a callout - both cases the symbol and the text are parallel to the view boundary. I think this is a bug?
When I paste data from excel into autocad as 'autocad entities'(paste special) the newly created autocad table does not adhere to the pre-defined table style. Even if I right click on the table and remove overides the text sizes are wrong. I suspect it might be related to some variable, but I don't know which one.
Modifying the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale,
I’m wondering how the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale can be modified.
For example, in the attached screenshot, the point size assigned at the annotation scale of 1/1000 is big and I wanted to make it a bit smaller at that scale.
I create a text box and paste in the info into it. Now I want to resize the box to fit the space available but the handles end up changing the font size. I need the software to change the auto line feeds as the box's size is changed.
I am creating a layered marine chart with reference points. I've imported the chart and am creating text layers with a reference number in them.
I have about 700 of these to add - a daunting task - but it's for a NZ coastguard unit, so is worthwhile.
The idea is to have a layer with all our reference points on it, so when a chart is updated, we can just import the chart; add back the reference points layers and print it out.
(Why? NZ baynames, danger spots etc usually have 2 names; an english name and a maori name - sometimes we have to cross reference when on the water to find the correct place).
Is creating text layers the best way of doing this?
Is there any way of increasing the size of all the text - instead of having to edit 700 text layers?
After transforming text box layers I select two of them and the font size becomes incorrect. I can see the correct size only when selecting one layer at a time. I guess it's not a feature but a bug and it could be fixed.
I frequently receive design files from other agencies, with hundreds of text layers which often need editing. Clicking on the text layer reveals one size, selecting the type tool and clicking on the text reveals an entirely different text size. Why? They should be the same text size, not different. How can I possibly manage this? This was NEVER an issue with any past iteration of Photoshop. I can barely get my work done like this, it's adding extra hours onto my work day.
I have to run a script to solve the problem, but that did not work and I don't want any hack solution. I want the app that I am paying for to function as specified.
When I try adding text to a new document, it becomes extremly small. It happens with all text sizes. I'm pretty sure I accidently changed one of the settings for the text, but I'm not sure which one.
Inside the circle, is the word 'CLAIRE' written in size 14 font, I don't know why it comes out so tiny..
i pick a text size like 32 pt, it is very small. It's only until i get until the 600 pt thats when the text become relatively big, but still not big enough, anyone have an idea of whats going on. Lately my text sizes have been at 1000pt because you cant see anything at 32 pt...
