Xara :: Center Object To The Page In DP6
Nov 2, 2011Is it a bug or what? Why can't I centre an object to the page in DP6? It's always off by about 5 pixels. I have to manually adjust it every time.

Xara :: Propagating Object Changes From One Page To Every Other Page?
Jan 16, 2011Does Xara Designer support the ability to change one object on for example page 1, and that the change propagates to all the same objects on all other pages? I'm doing a lot of web design work, so this would be quite handy, but I haven't found a way to do that.

Dec 10, 2012When I try to print and select "center" the image does not center on the page. CS5 worked fine originally but after the last update it too seems to have this issue. From what I can observe it seems as if someone thought that showing the printable area on a page was useful and somehow that may have been worked into the calculation of what centered (on the long dimension of a print) is. Engineering aside, if you actually try to sell your work, your client / customer only sees that the image is not centered on the physical sheet. They don't care about the printable area. The only work around I have found is to uncheck "center" and key in 50% of the difference between the actual print size and the actual paper size as a margin. I don't want to scale prints. I need to print to specific dimensions.
For reference I am using a PC running Windows 7 and an Epson 4900 printer
Illustrator :: Default Rotate To Object Group Center Not Artboard Center
Nov 27, 2013I'm sure this is mind-numbingly obvious and I am overlooking it, but when I go to use the rotate tool, the center point of the rotation is defaulting to the center of the artboard, not the selected group of objects. How do I change that to default to rotating on the selection center by default?
PS. This is Illustrator CC (17.0.2) on a Mac running 10.9, if that is relevant.

May 29, 2013In page setup i have setup my page to print 4 business cards on an A4 page. I have customize the labels myself. Then in print preview i have chosen to print the business cards in the center of the page. But the cards are on the bottom left corner and what ever i do it will not change.
maybe i have to change the margins in page setup-customize label? But don't know the inches.
How can i put my 4 business cards in the center of the page to print?

Apr 15, 2013I'm self taught on Illustrator, so I occasionally come across something that's probably really basic, but I am totally stumped. I think this is one of those things. All of a sudden, some of my Illustrator files have a dashed line running vertically down the center of the page. I can manually delete the dashes, but what is this and surely, there's a better way to get rid of it?

Nov 15, 2013I have six photos which are aligned and distributed equally and linked so they move as one. I want to center this group on the page but as soon as the background layer is selected, each photo piles onto each other with a mind of its own. Tried everything I know (which isn't really very much). It will work if I merge the group, but I don't want to do that.. I am using Elements 12 with Windows 8.1.

Oct 25, 2012I am new to Photoshop (Elements Vers 10).
Today I have been working on a photo (cloning out the background) and after about 4hrs work a thin green line about 1-2 pixel thick, has appeared across the center of the page. How it got there but I can not remove it.
I have tried saving the project (as a photoshop file) and then opening it as a new project in an old version of Photoshop (Vers 3 ?) to see if I could clone out the line, but it will not permit me to clone it.
What the line is, what I did to cause it to appear and how do I get rid of it. I possibly could export the project as a JPG and start as a new project.

Mar 16, 2012I've noticed something keeps happening: when I bring a button in from the design gallery and I change the text on the button from "button" to "click here" or whatever, the text is no longer centered in the button. When I check the Mouse-Over layer, the text is also misaligned. When I go to center the text on one layer, it then gets misaligned on the other!
The only way I've found around it is to make the button in a new document and then cut & paste it into the web page.

2. I would like to Repeat / Duplicate that Black Color on Outer Path of Oval Shape. (Like shown in the Yellow versus Black. The Yellow is a Circle and the Black is from Star Tool)
3. I think the Best Bet would be to Link the Rays to the Outer Path of Oval Shape.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Make Multiple Centers / Center Is Off In Some Objects Or On Page?
Jan 7, 2013I was just fooling around with it one day and I made 2 guidlines intersect (one at 0 degrees and one at 90). I added a third one at 45 and tried to center it at the intersection of the first 2. It made a tiny tiny microscopic right triangle for some reason.
Also, sometimes the center is off on either the object or on the page. Like when I rotate copies of an object around another object (like making a clock face) the copies don't go perfectly all the way around. I redo it and it works fine.
Is precision an issue in CoreDRAW?
Xara :: Export Each Page As JPEG Or PNG?
Apr 16, 2013When I'm working on a design for which I'm generating options, like a logo, I usually work with one Xara file and a new page for each option. When it's time for me to export each page as a JPEG or PNG, it's really frustrating that each and every time I have to tell Xara to save the Page, NOT the default Page Content. I'm thinking there should be a way for Xara to remember and repeat my last export settings, but I can't find it...

Aug 16, 2011I just tried to fill a page with black-filled hexagons so that they are all aligned perfectly vertically and horizontally. I duplicated and positioned as best I could by hand. Then, I used Alignment>equispace on horiz row selections then vert selections. No matter what I do, it will never be perfect with hand placement, obviously.
Is there a way to fill a page with the hexagons so that it looks like the attachment (ie everything perfectly squared in respect to the page)? I would need perfectly uniform spaces between the shapes so that it comes out perfectly squared with the page. This would be the first step I need to do in making a seamlessly tiled alpha for ZBrush.

At each attempt it duplicates the 1st page and all its layers. I have unchecked the boxes in the Page Options: Page Size: Document: "All pages in the document the same" and "same layers on all pages in document " and pressed "Apply" . I attach a .jpg to show where the tabs are missing (compared with a screen shot of a video that has the tabs in-place).
I am sure they were there originally but cannot restore them (I tried widows -> control bar -> reset, but that didn't work).
