When I click and drag practically anywhere on a page, the interactive page resize cursor ←|→ appears, and I resize the page.
This is not what I want. Selecting groups of objects is almost impossible now. Is it possible to completely disable interactive page resize?
Version: Xtreme Pro 5.1.2.10703 on Windows XP/32
When starting Xara Designer or Xara Webdesigner, I always get an introduction page (getting started...) and I always have to close this page before starting. Is there an option to disable this display and get a blank page instead.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've always been using option to resize page by just clicking and dragging any of the page borders, but all of the sudden, cursor remains the same, it does not change on page border nor am I able to drag-scale page up/down. I really miss that option? How this even stopped working.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a 12 page interactive PDF with a set of 12 buttons (set in the master page) at the bottom of page that relates to each page. When clicked the button should you directly to that page.
I have used this method many times before in CS5 using Go to destination in Buttons and setting each page as a destination. It normally works great.
However, in CS6, once I export to interactive PDF and open in Acrobat Pro the buttons all seem to disappear once you click on the 3rd or 4th page button.
I have stripped the indesign doc back to include no other content - just the buttons, with no rollover effects etc but I am still having the same problem
I can supply the relevant indesign doc and exported PDF. One forum member suggested trying to open it in Acrobat Reader instead and it worked fine. This is OK to a point but I really need it opening in Acrobat Pro.
Does Xara Designer support the ability to change one object on for example page 1, and that the change propagates to all the same objects on all other pages? I'm doing a lot of web design work, so this would be quite handy, but I haven't found a way to do that.

I have no problem compiling it from source - in fact have modified to suit our needs already - but cannot not grasp from GIMP documentation what modifications I need to make it run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using PaintShop Pro Photo X3 build 13.2.1.20 with an HP Deskjet 6940 printer running on a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium system. If I follow the following workflow an apparent problem is revealed:
1. Open image file and go to File | Print...
2. Under Size/Position choose Fit to Page and note the image size details
3. Click on Properties
4. Go to the Paper/Quality tab
5. Change the paper size to A5, for example
6. Click OK
7. Note the image size details - they have not changed from those noted in 2
8. Click on Properties
9. Click on OK
10. The image has now been resized
11. Click on Properties
12. Choose a different paper size
13. Click OK
14. The image has not been resized from the dimensions in 10
15. Click on Properties
16. Click on OK
17. The image has been resized
Before I flame off on this crap CC version of ID: Why isn't my art centered when I resize my document? I have the center box selected at the upper left as I always do but as soon as I change the page size, the orientation is top left and all the art is hanging to the right and below my new page size. I'm not doing photo retouching. I can't read any of my menus.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I type some text, then select the 'Selector Tool', then use the middle 'bounds handles' to resize.I would expect the text to be stretched.But, what I get is resizing in both horizontal and vertical directions. As if I was using the corner 'bounds handles'.
It works as I would expect in Designer Pro X.Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?
How do I rotate or resize multiple objects, but retain the position of each object? In other words, each object gets adjusted on its spot.It seems like it would be a very useful feature - other vector graphics packages I have used include this option.

When it's time for me to export each page as a JPEG or PNG, it's really frustrating that each and every time I have to tell Xara to save the Page, NOT the default Page Content. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just tried to fill a page with black-filled hexagons so that they are all aligned perfectly vertically and horizontally. I duplicated and positioned as best I could by hand. Then, I used Alignment>equispace on horiz row selections then vert selections. No matter what I do, it will never be perfect with hand placement, obviously.
Is there a way to fill a page with the hexagons so that it looks like the attachment (ie everything perfectly squared in respect to the page)? I would need perfectly uniform spaces between the shapes so that it comes out perfectly squared with the page. This would be the first step I need to do in making a seamlessly tiled alpha for ZBrush.
Is there a way to set what the default page size when you start XP&GD 2013? It always starts with a page size of A4 which I never use. I have a custom template that I would like to set as the default page size.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Xara Xtreme 5.1. I am trying to add a new page to my file. Its the first time I have attempt to create a new page. At each attempt it duplicates the 1st page and all its layers. I have unchecked the boxes in the Page Options: Page Size: Document: "All pages in the document the same" and "same layers on all pages in document " and pressed "Apply" . I have tried afresh we a brand new file and yet cannot prevent the duplications.

I attach a .jpg to show where the tabs are missing (compared with a screen shot of a video that has the tabs in-place).
I am sure they were there originally but cannot restore them (I tried widows -> control bar -> reset, but that didn't work).
In XP&G7, my "Selector" tool has become the "Page Size" tool and I can't select anything. It just changes my page size. What did I do??
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am feeling a bit dumb at the moment. How does one print something larger than the "physical" page size--ie., tiled pages--in Designer Pro 6?
I have a drawing that is 3 times the length of US letter size (actual size of the drawing is 7.5" x 30"). US letter size is 8.5" x 11". The page is defined as landscape, so 11" width, 8.5" height.
I regularly do this using another program and will have constant need to do so in the future.
I try Xara Designer Pro X9 and use PDF Export Options with selected objects for page generation (PDF Export Options).
After PDF export done page size is A4 with my rectangle drawing instead page size with my rectangle size. How can I export to PDF selected rectangle with rectangle page size?
Is there any way to default the "Area to Save" option on the export menu, to "Page"? This is nothing crucial, but it would save me some time, because I select that hundreds of times. If I could pre-define "Page", I would be even more happy
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just switched to using Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 6 for my graphics design needs. Is there any way to create a default page size so that no matter when the program is opened it will always open up to that particular page size?
I am used to working and creating on a full "blank canvas" or pasteboard, rather than using page sizes that Xara seems to prefer. Every time I open the program I have to return to page options to re-set all of my workspace parameters and it gets frustrating after awhile.
For example, my preferred page settings are as follows: Page Size=A0 (which provides me all white space to work in); Outer Margin=0in [8in is always automatically pre-set by the program]; and I always choose Landscape, but the automatic pre-set is always Portrait.
There should be a way for the user to control how the workspace appears each time the program is opened, but how to make my page settings "once" and then have those settings be the default from there on out. It's just time consuming to go into Options every time I open the program and have to re-set everything all over again.
How can I start a new page (portrait) with the page centralised and not on the left. I always hold the Shift Key and scroll the mouse button to manoevre the page where I want it, but would much prefer if it appeared there in the first place. I have looked Options>General + Page size but am none the wiser.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you have a multipage document such as the plans for a house you can have a different scale factor on each page if you turn off "All pages in document the same" in the Options dialog's "Page Size" tab.
Then you can set different scales on different pages. E.g. 1:100 for house floor plans and 1:500 for site layout plans.
