I am using video studio X5 ultimate. I am importing video footage from a dvd. VSX5 has imported all of the files. When I get to the screen that asks what folder and if I want it inserted in the timeline, I keep getting an error message "The parameter is incorrect." It then goes back to the folder, and sits there and VSX5 is frozen. I have done this many times.
View 5 RepliesI have problem with the file created by Corel. It shows that length of the file is 5min. However, actually it is about 15-20min. When I am running it with VLC media player it shows all the stream ignoring the length. For now, it is the only one player I found that can do it. When I put this file in Corel it shows only 5min and it looks like it skip most of it. Shows the beginning and the end of the file.
Is there any way to change the file that Corel could read it as is, ignoring the length.
I'm having a problem with VideoStudio where it is not correctly detecting the aspect ratio of the video.
The video was created by HandBrake by converting a DVD to an MP4. VLC Player correctly detects the aspect ratio and displays it fine. VS doesn't.
In VS the video is coming up as 4:3 and so when played, it has black pillars on either side.
How can I get VS to interpret the aspect ratio correctly, or even override it?

When I render 18 minute ProX5 project to movie file WMV at 1080p it comes out with incorrect aspect ratio, everything is elongated vertically.
I am using a Canon Vix HFS20 camera.
I got in on the big sale that NewBlue was having and I purchased the Film Effects pack (finally!). Everything is installed and registered.
There are actually 5 individual effects that you get with the Film Effects, they are:
Film Camera
Film Damage
Film Express
Film Look
Film Pro
I can successfully add each of these to a clip in my timeline and then modify the attributes, except one.
The Film Look plugin give me the error:

It is a Corel error dialog, not a NewBlue error dialog. Only the Film Look plugin give me the error, the other 4 work just fine.
I have fully purchased and legally registered Corel Video Studio Pro and NewBlue Film Effects running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
I have user parameters that are no longer needed and are not being used anywhere. They each takes 4-5 seconds to delete, prior to 2012 this would happen instantly.

I am trying to publish to the CC a guide rail. The vendor of the rail gives me the option of entering the desired length of the rail. After that he gives me the option to choose between the length that I entered and a shorter and longer standard length witch can be delivered faster.
I want to do the same thing with my published part, but I cannot make a key parameter to change depending on the entered custom parameter. I want the user to make the next steps when inserting from the CC: 1- select the size of the rail; 2-select the type of the rail; 3- enter the desired length of the rail; 4- choose between the desired length and the 2 recommended lengths (I need these 3 lengths to be shown)
Is this possible?
I seem to have a colour problem with PSD files. I have tried messing around with the gamma settings for hours, colour profiles and everything else I could think of, but I cannot get rid of the problem.
As you can see the colour problem is only with PSD files. I have also taken a screenshot and compared the colour of the windows taskbar, and the PSD gives me a washed out, less bright look, yet upon export to JPG it looks fine...

I have photoshop CS6 on a macbook pro retina display. When I open an image that is 8MB in finder, photoshop says that it's 143MB.I did not change anything, just opened the file.

Running X3 on WinXPPro, I was running down the list of shortcut keys at:

and tried the "B" shortcut applied to a bunch of plain boxes. Result was very confusing. The list as well as the X3 menu show "B" in caps for align to bottom. One might assume that that meant "Shift b," right? But no. "Shift b" aligns the boxes as a set, evenly spacing them vertically. Non-shifted "b" aligns all selected objects to the bottom of the topmost object, which is wierd.  You might think that it would align to the bottom of the bottom-most.  However, "B" as set using the Caps Lock performs identically to "b." I.e., "B" & "not-B." Since there is no way visually to discriminate between "B" as "Shift b" and "B" as "Caps Lock B" you might think that either this would be changed so that the visual prevails or a lower case "b" would appear in the menu instead of an ambiguous "B."Â
I tried to bring in a shapefile to AutoCad Map 3D 2013 and I realized the attributes in the table were incorrect. There should be no negatives for the column CLN_NUM_ID.Â
And it appeared that the CLN_NUM_ID is totally incorrect. Then I realized the data type of CLN_NUM_ID is Long integer so I changed the datatype to DOUBLE in ArcMap. When I brought in the shape file, the program crashed.Â
It's the strangest thing. I'll draw a 6' long line, go to measure it and it comes up as 5-'6-1/2".

I'm having a minor issue with one of my drawings. The existing drawing was a .hln file that I have opened in AutoCAD 2011 LT.
I tried to draw a line of length 1600mm but when I take a dim it's only 145mm but via properties its 1600mm. The drawing is attached zoomed-in on issue area.
I've recently installed CS4 on my new Vista machine. After setting up my Wacom tablet, installing all the appropriate software I find Photoshop is not responding to me pen sensitivity as it has on my previous machine (Mac with CS1). Specifically I'm thinking the default brushes are incorrect, specifically I use the hard brush that by default should go from small - large- small. Thinking I was missing a setting I compared both side by side and sure enough my settings for default brushes are the same on both machines but I'm not getting the dynamic brush that I had on my Mac. Below is a screen shot I found online of what i'd like to have in my setup. in yellow is where I'd like to get to but at the bottom of the image is where I'm at currently. Any help would be appreciated. I just know the solution is going to be so simple that I'll bang my head on the desk when I get it.

If I reopen it in Photoshop it says its the large size again.
I am having a problem with my dimension style on Acad mech 13. In my template I have set my modified dimension style as current and saved. I have set my template dwt. file to open in Qnew, but when I start a new drawing from Qnew, dimstyle reverts back to default style.

A 23.98 timeline comes out as 24.01. A 29.97timeline reads as 30.1fps.
I was working on a file earlier today when it failed while processing after I edited a particularly extensive mass. It asked if I wanted to save a recovery file, I said yes, but I am not sure it worked properly (it might have said 'could not be saved' but i clicked 'OK' quickly so i could re-open revit and get on with work)

Anyways, when I went back to start again it said I had to manually recover the file and that I should ask Autodesk support. I looked on forums and they said i should go to the 'open' dialogue box, check the 'audit' box and reopen the file, but after doing this I got a second error message that said something along the lines of "your file has an incorrect schema'.

This is the third damned problem I've had with this file, might have something to do with a trojan on my computer chewing into my RAM but whatever the case it's time this crap stopped!

TB-5300 Slimline Design Tablet
Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit, problem occurs on both)
The problem I am having is that the X-coordinate for my pen tablet is incorrect. The paint brush appears to the left of the screen and doesn't move as far left/right as my pen does. By moving the position of the drawing area I have found that pressure works correctly. Strangely, the position of the mouse when being controlled by the pen tablet is correct, it's just the paint brush which is wrong.
I can correct this problem by uninstalling the pen tablets drivers, but then the pressure sensitivity stops working.
This problem fixed itself for about a few days, but then came back without anything apparently having changed in that time.
It's occuring in both a 32 and 64 bit version of windows.

I have Lightroom 4.1; 64 bit; Win7. All of a sudden my keyword list is not showing the correct number of photos to which a particular keyword is attached. It doesn't show any for some when there are a number photos with that particular keyword (although it also does not show "0"). For other keywords, it dispolays a number but it is incorrect (apparently always a lower number than actually applicable. I do not seem to be using a filter that might reduce the number.Â
View 3 Replies View Related Had a problem with my RAID1 HD's and windows 7 went to check and repair my HD. There were some things with indexes, related to lightroom fixed. Kind of logical as I was working in Lightroom when the problem occured.

After restarting Lightroom 4 refuses to open my catalog. It states the catalog is not writable and cannot be opened, could be because of incorrect permissions. Strangely enough, although I run a backup weekly there is no backup folder on my HD, or better said only a backup folder with a file that's a couple of years old. No use. (should have checked this earlier... obviously)

the basics: Windows7 home premium, Lightroom 4, catalog on internal HD which is in RAID1 (mirror), lightroom programme on SSD
I have all the permissions (administrator), catalog file is not 'read-only', run as administrator did not make any difference.
I have Adobe CS6 Design Standard student and teacher edition. The package includes Photoshop CS6, version 13.0.1 x64. In Photoshop CS6, when I bring up the Select Color Range dialog, I see the correct dialog box, but the main image of the photo on my screen changes to a black and white display that looks like the preview of a color range mask in the dialog box, instead of the normal full color image I should see. This occurs whether or not I have yet made a selection. Here is a screen photo of this incorrect display:Â

On November 20, I spoke with an Adobe support person on the telephone. I was unable to describe the problem in a way that the support person could grasp, and the case No. 0184920291 description is now listed as "effect doesn't come with color sliders". It is impossible to use the selection eyedropper to select a color from an image displayed as a monochrome mask.
Text is displaying at the incorrect size in both paper space and model space. It seems that there may be some kind of global scale factor in action e.g. if I add text at size 2.5, it displays at size 2.25 and if I add text at size 1.8, it displays at size 1.62.
How do I set so that text is displayed at the correct size?
Whenever I attempt to print, I get the warning message below referring to a printer that I do not have. Â I presume it's an AutoCAD default setting, but I cannot find any place allowing me to change this default. Â It eventually prints, since as the warning message says, it then substitutes my Mac's default printer, Is there any way to change the AutoCAD setting.
