I am having problems using VideoStudio 15 to convert a PAL-based file to NTSC.
What I want to do is lengthen the video and to lower the tone/pitch with it (from 25 fps PAL to 23.976 fps NTSC, pull-down style).
In VSX4, when laying a background music track for a project, is it possible to raise and lower volume of sections of the track along a continuous track of music?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using acad 2010. I have the ability to draw a 3d polyline on the screen with a different xyz value for each vertex using a digitizing puck. I need a lisp routine that will allow me to adjust the z value only (not the x and y values) on any 3d polyline. I just need to raise or lower the z value at any vertex and repeat if nessasary but I don't want to type it in, I want to raise/lower the z using digitizing puck (with z wheel)....example: I draw a 3d polyline which has 9 vertices with different elevations - vertex #6 is 22.6 (too high) in the z value so I need to drop it to 22.4 without typing it in. Vertex #8 is 12.2 (too low) so I need to raise the z to 12.6 without typing it in and using the z wheel on my digitizing puck. Others have tried and but this is a bit complicated and I may have not expressed it correctly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a JVC Everio GZ-HM320BU HD video camera. I'm using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4.
Each year, I record our X-Mas present opening but I didn't realize that HD files get extremely large (new camera two years ago). I make DVD movies for all the kids every year, but I can't remember the process I did for 2010.
What steps do I need to do to take an existing AVCHD MTS file, (time 1:14:11, 2.44 GB, frame width 1920, frame height 1080) and change it to fit on a DVD?
If I need to change it to a non-HD format, I have no problem with that. I just forgot how I did it before.
I am using Corel Video Studio Pro x4 Ultimate with SP2 and I getting significantly lower audio volume in left channel for all stereo downmix streams. The problem is consistent regardless if I make an AVCHD video with background music, or create slide show form still images with music.
I want to eliminate any possible PC setup or installation issues and narrow down the problem to program itself. I have attached sample of stereo 1 KHz 0db test tone, which could be used for this test.
1. Open new project
2. Choose Settings --> Enable 5.1 Surround sound and Wide screen 16:9
3. Import to the library few pictures and 1KHz 0dB.wav
4. Place on the time line pictures (I used 5 sec duration for display and 1 sec cross-fade transition)
5. Add 1 KHz 0 dB.wav to the Music track
6. Select Share tab --> Create Video file --> Custom
7. Choose MPEG Transport Stream .m2ts
8. Select Options --> General 1920x1080 --> 29pfs --> upper field first
9 Select Compression --> Quality 100% --> Dolby Digital Audio --> 3/2 (L,C,R,SL, RL) --> 448 kbps --> OK
4. Name the file and save it.
5. Play rendered file on 2 speaker system (TV or PC)
Playing 5.1 surround sound movies on 2 speaker (i.e. stereo) system will likely force to play Stereo downmix stream only from 5.1 sound. You then should be able to observe that the left channel volume is reduced by -14 dB. (at least this is what I get) which causes significant stereo balance shift.The same test can be done with music files, but if you want to measure the volume drop, test tone is the best way to quantify it.
I have a picture of a planet, what I want to do is put a raised icon on top of the planet picture. I want the image to be transparent, so it'd basically just raise the section of the planet corresponding with where I put the second image.
The best thing I can think of is almost like mountains or a continent whose outline based on an icon I have as a separate image.
Is there an easy way to raise an entire site by 1.0 foot and have the grading hit the previous targeted surface? The only way I have found is to grab all the feature lines and raise them up by the required amount, but by doing that, the grading bogs down my system and it crashes, plus, I have grading attached to 3dpoly's and not necessarily all feature lines.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently tried Premiere Pro CS5.5 and CS4 (trial version) to replace my Corel Video Studio X6 which tried to replace Windows Movie Maker. Video Studio and Movie Maker both crash whenever I imported large video files.
Anyway I'm getting a problem where the video files I import to Premiere Pro CS4 and CS5.5 have a high pitch noise in the video preview.
It's a high pitch noise almost like it's getting feedback from something. Also when someone is supposed to be talking there's a very low distortion, like the audio started playing in very slow motion but the high pitch noise is still present.
I'll put a link at the end with the video file that's giving me trouble.
The video and audio are in a single AVI file. The video format is H264 shot at 60fps and the audio should be Mpeg-1 L2, 48khz at 320kbps. I don't know if the video's audio is in 24bit or 16bit.
I've tried different settings for premiere. Trying 60fps and 30fps for the framerate for the project. Trying 44khz and 32khz and 96khz didn't fix it. Using the "Desktop" preset in CS4 and Custom for CS5.5.
My audio hardware is a Logitech G930. It's a wireless USB headset with microphone. My motherboard audio is Realtek HD Audio. Both are enabled but I only use the headset now and nothing is being sent to the Realtek audio chip (according to Windows' sound options). The headset plays audio at 16bit 48khz.
The video file plays fine in every media program I own that can play the h264 codec. With the exception of Movie Maker and Video Studio x6. Video Studio will preview the video and audio just fine but when I try and skip around the program hangs and crashes. Movie Maker just plain crashes when I try and import the video. Some of the programs that can play the video are VLC, Media Player 11, and Media Player Classic.
I'm not sure if Final Cut Pro has the same problem. I don't have a Mac so I can't test it.
Here's a sample video that works the way it should. I pulled a BIK file from a game and converted it to H264 in AVI. Not sure what it's audio format is.

Here's an afflicted file. Not the exact specific file I have been talking about, but it has the same codecs. This one is shorter in length and smaller in size. It still has the high pitch noise, but since there is no one talking in this you don't hear the weird low pitch distortions.

Is it possible to create a Stair Tag with the pitch reported? I have a tag which includes the number and height of rises as well as the size of treads but I would like to include the pitch also. Obviously this would use the dimensions of the rise and tread in the formula Tan X = Rise/Tread, but how do I create this in a tag? I have looked at using a Reporting Parameter but every time I read the Wikihelp paragraph on them my eyes just glaze over as I cannot follow it at all but it does mention formulas....

It returns to its normal brightness only when you zoom in or out, pan around the view, or when an object in the viewport is modified. I've looked through some posts on this and it doesn't seem like there's an easy way to do it in an automated fashion, even though the data is in the Thread.xls file. I'd really like to not have to look it up to make every print.
First, I thought I'd just use the "Custom Thread Designation" field, but as soon as I changed it in the XLS file, I kept getting alerts in Inventor saying that there was an error in the thread family because the callout applied to multiple fit classes or something like that. So that didn't work out very well. So....
1. Is there a way to do this?
2. What is the point of the "custom thread designation" infrastructure? Am I not using it correctly?

You can create a variable pitch helix by using the Equation Curve feature introduced in Inventor 2013.
Create a new 3D Sketch. Start the Equation Curve command.
Here are equations that I use to create helical curves. Many other variations exist.
Cartesian coordinates:
x(t) = radius * sin(360 * num_turns * t)
y(t) = radius * cos(360 * num_turns * t)
z(t) = height * t

When you sweep a profile along a helical path, use the plane normal sweep (instead of perpendicular sweep) to orient profiles suitable for coil or spring. In the example below, the sweep path is a constant radius, variable pitch helix.
I need a conical spring that can change in pitch as it tapers. Basically the spring starts in a compression style and tapers down to an expasion style. The CNC spring machines are capable to produce it, but am I able to, through Inventor? If not when will we have this feature capability?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm building a PEMB frame family partly to teach myself and because none of the ones I could find online match the ones I'm working with. It's been a bumpy road but I've gotten the family to the point where there are parameters and elements for the flange, web, baseplate & girts.
Where I've run into a problem are the bracing flanges. The flange at the top of the column was simple enough since it's always horizontal but the beam braces are all 90 deg to the top chord. Any refrence plane or reference line drawn from the intersection of the bottom & column chords to the top chord does not move with the other chords when the family types are changed. I applied a 90 deg angular dimension constraint between the top chord and the bracing flange but when I change the pitch of the top chord by increasing the Ridge Height Revit gives me a warning message that the constraint is no longer satisfied instead of rotating the flange!
