VideoStudio :: Unreadable Frame In X5
Jul 25, 2012I am trying to create a video file for the 1st time with VS X5.The project is 27 mins long and includes jpeg images and avi
clips that I have used successfully with VS11+, and film that I have taken with my camera which I have been using for years.It is not HD and I intended to burn a standard DVD.However, at 99% of rendering a message showed saying "Frame 329 is unreadable".I pressed ok.Nothing is showing in the folder that it was hopefully being saved to .Lwr field 1st-DVD PAL-7000 video data rate-384 audio data rate-save as mpeg files -----all properties I have used before with no problem.My only change is now to use 16.9 aspect ratio.
VideoStudio :: Frame 914 Is Unreadable?
Feb 1, 2012I'm editing MTS files and its H264 video type with a frame rate of 29.970/sec, I'm getting a error that I'm sure you have heard about before, but I can't seem to find the solution. I receive an error stating,'' 914 frame is unreadable'', so if I divided 914 by 29.970 ,shouldn't that give me the second that I have to check for a frame error?

Oct 6, 2013I need to do some editing on captures made using Bandicam before uploading to YouTube, but Corel VideoStudio just refuses to open the video files, telling the format is not recognized. Only Windows Media Player can play them. Since I purchased this computer. With my Pentium D computer running Windows 7, I was able to capture videos with FRAPS and edit them with Corel VideoStudio. Now with that Core i7, even with a NVIDIA graphic card, FRAPS crashes all the times and BandiCam, which I tried as a replacement after the failure of many others (EzVid, Total Screen Recorder, Dxtory), produces unusable video files.
There is absolutely no good way to convert these videos. All Windows applications for this are just pain, offering a multitude of useless and nonsense options and just taking years to process a single video. There are some Linux conversion tools I had success with in the past, but the command line is so complex that it takes hours to figure out. It is easy to blame BandiCam and stop there. I did this error myself before thinking that VideoStudio should be able to open videos in MPEG format. VideoStudio was my only choice, because the other candidate, Premiere Elements, is unusable, with too small fonts impossible to enlarge.
BandiCam is the only way I found to record videos with audio. Other tools are just unusable (Total Screen Recorder even impossible to start), impose music I don't want (EzVid) or make the game freeze temporarily and audio stuter (Dxtory). FRAPS, which was working great under Windows 7, is unstable with Windows 8, making the screen flicker and finally freezing the game all the times. I am to the point of considering the purchase of HDMI input card and recording the screen output with another computer!
Any success with editing Bandicam videos using VideoStudio? Maybe this is yet another Windows 8 issue so I now need a second computer running Windows 7, or REINSTALL everyting again with Windows 7.

VideoStudio :: Can't Reload VSP Project - All AVI Clips Unreadable
Nov 5, 2010I have previously created a project using avi files and successfully burnt a dvd. Now when I reload the project all the AVI clips on the timeline are "unreadable" (black and white horizontal bands) yet they have not been moved from their original folder and all clips are visible on under "video" on the "edit" page. I have even tried relinking but to no avail. All the clips still play perfectly on Media player.

A part of these pictures are readable but a large parts isn't.
I tried to read them with several programs (Photoshop, Paint shop pro, IrfanVieuw,...) but this doesn't change a thing.
All these pictures were taken on the same day with the same memory card.

Jan 12, 2013I have just had to re-install my copy of X5 Ultimate as for some reason the files stopped working..
When I first started the software it told me there was a service update (previously installed on last install and worked fine) but when I clicked on update now it just closed the window without doing anything. I have downloaded the patch from Corel and that installed without problem.
But now, on looking in the 'do more' section there are only 3 items, Boris, Newblue Effects and Jamendo. (I have the first 2 as part of the ultimate edition anyway). The templates and other downloadable content are missing.

Mar 10, 2011Updated from X3 to X4, did you notice, or can you, keep all your older libraries, transitions, effects, templates, etc. from X3 into X4?
I know in previous updates all installed items did not migrate to the newer version. Wishfully hoping X4 will migrate from X3 vs another "Fresh" install.
VideoStudio :: AVCHD Disc With DVD Content
Apr 8, 2011With X4, can you author an AVCHD disc with 720x480 content in H.264 video and AC3 Audio and burn it to a DVD that would be playable in a Blu-Ray player? Because my thought was with an 8.4 DVD disc you could fit a lot more TV shows on one disc, vs backing them up in DVD in Mpeg2 format. In fact with a 25GB Blu-Ray blank, you could probalby get a whole 22 episode season on one disc.

Feb 28, 2013I am attempting to import audio into VS5. The file is named VTS_01_3. I have the music file as MPEG layer-3 audio [MP3]. The music plays fine with AVS and Windows Media Player.
The music was ripped off of a DVD initially but appears to play OK but on attempting to bring it into VS5 using Import from Digital Media I get the dialogue box "There is no valid content".
VideoStudio :: (Bonus Content) Importation To Library?
Jan 1, 2012I've just purchased VS Pro X4 and installed it successfully (I think). My question is; the "Bonus Content" has been placed in the My Documents folder. If I remember correctly, (memory was affected quite seriously), I then import these into the library. What I'm not sure of is how to set things up to keep the subfolders in the library structure ie: There are three categories,Audio, Image and Video, then each of these has sub categories to organise the clips into subject. Is there any way to import and keep the structure intact.

Nov 25, 2013I'm doing an evacuation plan of an office building. The drawing itself is in the model space, obviously. The fire extinguishers and escape routes are added in layout.
The problem is that everything that I add in the layout ends up beneath the drawing in model space. I.e. the walls of the building are shown in front of the fire extinguishers which makes my evac.plan look like poop.AutoCad Architecture 2013.

Mar 13, 2012I have used content aware with some success but today I was using it to remove power lines in front of a building with a deep blue cloudless sky in the background. When I used content aware it lightened the sky to a pale blue, no where near the original color. I sampled the existing sky with the eye dropper but no change. I have used content aware probably 25 times and have never encountered this problem.

Sep 9, 2012I recently downloaded Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6. I am not able to see the content of any of the file I open (.psd or .jpg). I do see the file has been opened as the file name appears on the open file tabs, I also see the preview of the file in the Navigator Window and list of layers in the layers window.
I am relatively new to this so might be missing on some option that needs to be turned on or something. I am using Window 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, with 8GB RAM.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but there is no change. The other Adobe products from the Master Suite Collection run fine (Flash, Encoder, etc). I am thinking that my installation disc may be corrupted.
