I just installed VS X4. whats the difference between the Content pack and the Bonus Pack?
The Content pack is obvious as they showed up in the "Samples" Library however cant find any documentation to tell me what the Bonus pack is.
I've just purchased VS Pro X4 and installed it successfully (I think). My question is; the "Bonus Content" has been placed in the My Documents folder. If I remember correctly, (memory was affected quite seriously), I then import these into the library. What I'm not sure of is how to set things up to keep the subfolders in the library structure ie: There are three categories,Audio, Image and Video, then each of these has sub categories to organise the clips into subject. Is there any way to import and keep the structure intact.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed VideoStudio X4 Pro, and have been a very long time ULead VideoStudio user. I am looking for video content templates similar to the templates that came in the Ulead days... You know the video themes, templates (unable to paste a screen shoot) etc.
In VideoStudeo 11.5+ it came within a bonus content pack. Is there such a thing for X4?
This video from Autodesk describing the procedural texture generation "Substance" refers to a "Substance Bonus Pack". This doesn't appear to exist anywhere. Is this something that is going to be added to Product Enhancements for subscriptions? Or is this part of the 2012 release that I'm just unable to locate?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently did a pack and go on a top level assembly. Kept folder hierarchy. Included linked files. Included referenced files. All OK so far.
Then opened the assembly in the “Pack and go” folder I created to put it, and it cannot find all the content center parts, such as the ASME eccentric reducer and M24 bolt – see attached i.e. I had to resolve the links. I know they came over with the pack and go as they are in the “Libraries” folder.

Windows 7 64 bit.
I just got VS Pro X3 yesterday and installed it from the disk. All went fine, but there is a menu option on the disk for "Bonus Contents". When the menu option is clicked, it displays three sub-categories - Audio Clips, Image Clips, & Video Clips. When each of those sub-categories is clicked it opens a Windows Explorer window showing the contents of the folder on the install disk. I can't find anywhere that these clips got installed onto my PC.how do I install this Bonus Content, so that VS X3 can use it? If I just copy it to my hard drive, what folder to I place it into?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving learned the drill with VS Pro X3, I went right to the "Do More" tab to download Extra Templates, Font Packs, and Title Packs after completing my new VS Pro X4 installation. Almost all of the "Free" packs downloaded and installed as expected without incident. (The word INSTALLED now appears under each successfully installed pack in the list of downloaded elements which originally showed a button reading DOWNLOAD NOW.)
However, for some unexplained reason, when I click my mouse on the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2, I see a very brief busy icon, followed by no noticeable response from the server. No error message is given.
I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then relaunching the app before attempting to download Font Pack 2. I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then rebooting my PC before relaunching the app and attempting to download Font Pack 2. Neither tactic succeeded.
I got great results with X4, until it installed the service pack this week.. Now i cannot render an mp4 without long sections 'staggering' - like a strobing effect on the entire render, the picture lurches as it plays, and things like VLC hang when scanning thru the file..
Also, the framrate i set now has little relation to the actual outcome..
The piece i am rendering fails at a different point each time - the staggering starts and thats that, framrate drops to about 2fps - utterly useless..
I have tried removing the install and re-installing, but when i do this i can clearly see by 'check for updates' that there are no updates, which means SP2 is surviving the uninstall.
I have tried every combination of every setting for days, this is a new problem directly related to the service pack..
Where can i get a manifest of the files in the service packs? i'm going to have to remove them all by hand and start again..
I need a consensus from the forum members here regarding this Service Pack 2 update (which is named Patch3.exe). I've read that it causes problems and I've read where it doesn't. As of right now, without the patch, my version is 13.6.2.36 , I think with the patch it will be .69, or is there another patch (or version) floating around out there that is more stable?
Also, under Settings>Performance the "Use Hardeware Encoder acceleration" is grayed out. How to check that thing off and what hardware are you using to get it to show up?
A couple of days ago, a friend gave me a downloaded film called an MP4 Bluray (a 2 hour movie) The file size was 1.96 GB. When I watch it on the computer, the quality is HD quality.So I thought I would render it to a BDMV file (now 21GB) for burning a BLURAY disc, and when played on my BLURAY player, the quality is still excellent HD quality.
why save all of my disc images or BDMV files etc. at 20GB or so for 2 hours of footage if we can use these MP4 files and maybe archive these ?
I just moved from a Sony HDV (HDR-HC3) camcorder to a Panasonic AVCHD one (HC V700). When rendering my final video, I've always used MPEG-4 HD. This new camcorder records in AVCHD. I'm not sure if I should be outputting to MPEG-4 HD or AVCHD. Before I had issues rendering in AVCHD, which is why I didn't use it.
What's the main differences in MPEG-4 HD vs. AVCHD? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Which one is better and the one I should use?
After about 3 years or more of using my Canon HV30 I decided to lash out & buy an AVCHD camera, I opted for a JVC HM330 with a 30x optical zoom & 8gb memory. Got it for a good price.
I was eager to try AVCH editing with my new core i5 laptop.Its doable but no as quick as HDV.But my question is about video quality.
The JVC is supposed to record at 24mbps which should put it up there with the Canon I would have thought.
However I fell that the Canon has the better picture, it seems a bit crisper but only just there is not much in it. Why would this be? Is it becuase the Canon is just a better camera even though its getting long in the tooth now?? or is AVCHD still to catch up with HDV?
I know how the two are used in practice but why is there such a distinction in VideoStudio?

I noticed that I cannot trim the "overlay" clips, but when I added some screen recording to my folder and placed it on the timeline, it automatically goes to the Overlay track. And from there, I cannot trim them as the scissors icon is greyed out. Is there a way to add those clips to the video track instead of the overlay track if there is no other video in the way?
I purchased VideoStudio X5 for HD editing of .MTS clips from my Panasonic HS700 video camera. I transfer the clips to my hard drive using explorer and then use the X5 program to bring them into the library and then to the timeline. Due to my volume problem I re-downloaded VSX5, reinstalled it and installed SP1 patch, updated my Video Card Driver to the latest, updated Direct X and made sure my Microsoft Updates are all up to date.
My Volume problem is, during the editing proces you use both the Project playback and also individual clip playback. Without any manual changes to clip volume, when I play an individual clip the volume is substatially higher than when I play the project over the same clip area. This is annoying to me and those nearby. Earlier versions of VS did not do this.
If I change the individual clip volume up or down from 100% then when I play either the project or individual clip the volume remains the same (ie.it is no longer louder in clip mode).
Does it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there.When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.

When I first started the software it told me there was a service update (previously installed on last install and worked fine) but when I clicked on update now it just closed the window without doing anything. I have downloaded the patch from Corel and that installed without problem.
But now, on looking in the 'do more' section there are only 3 items, Boris, Newblue Effects and Jamendo. (I have the first 2 as part of the ultimate edition anyway). The templates and other downloadable content are missing.
Had to reinstall VS 4 on new laptop...getting "content unreadable" for .MOV files.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Bonus Tools 2014 for Maya 2013 on my Mac with OS 10.8.4.
Then I launched Maya. I didn't see the 'bonus tools' menu item up top.
I compared my menu to the one here. The one in the video has it in the top menu, but mine does not.
I found the bonus tools mel script in the shared sub folders for autodesk, so I know it's installed.
Updated from X3 to X4, did you notice, or can you, keep all your older libraries, transitions, effects, templates, etc. from X3 into X4?
I know in previous updates all installed items did not migrate to the newer version. Wishfully hoping X4 will migrate from X3 vs another "Fresh" install.
With X4, can you author an AVCHD disc with 720x480 content in H.264 video and AC3 Audio and burn it to a DVD that would be playable in a Blu-Ray player? Because my thought was with an 8.4 DVD disc you could fit a lot more TV shows on one disc, vs backing them up in DVD in Mpeg2 format. In fact with a 25GB Blu-Ray blank, you could probalby get a whole 22 episode season on one disc.

View 5 Replies View Related I have it installed, I have the plugin "loaded" and "auto-loaded", but when I try to import a .3ds file, there is no geometry or anything. I see "Transform1" in the Outliner, and I don't really see any errors.
I tried playing around with windows, hit "show all" on everything I can find.
I am attempting to import audio into VS5. The file is named VTS_01_3. I have the music file as MPEG layer-3 audio [MP3]. The music plays fine with AVS and Windows Media Player.
The music was ripped off of a DVD initially but appears to play OK but on attempting to bring it into VS5 using Import from Digital Media I get the dialogue box "There is no valid content".
How can I gain access to bonus backgrounds, graphics, etc in Adobe PSE 7 if Photoshop.com services have been shut down? I have been using the bonus backgrounds and such from Photoshop.com for several years to design Christmas cards for my photography clients. Now, my Photoshop.com membership doesn't exist, so I can't use those backgrounds and graphics. Is there a way to go around this or to gain access to those bonus items?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm doing an evacuation plan of an office building. The drawing itself is in the model space, obviously. The fire extinguishers and escape routes are added in layout.
The problem is that everything that I add in the layout ends up beneath the drawing in model space. I.e. the walls of the building are shown in front of the fire extinguishers which makes my evac.plan look like poop.AutoCad Architecture 2013.
Somehow the Content Center Filter clears all content while in ISO or DIN. Both libraries are turned on in project.
I can see only one custom library when either filter engaged. I also see both ISO and DIN parts when filter is off.

Since installing Buildinfg Design Suite Standard 13 my content explorer is showing a yelow error sign saying indexing error over content drawing icons. How do i fix this?
