Sep 26, 2011I have a problem with Video-Studio ProX 4: If I insert a new file in the midst of a cued sequence of files, than the cued video-files of the video track give place and stay synchronized, but NOT the subtitles on the title track - therefore I must they all manual synchronize again with the video-track, - what can I do?

Oct 28, 2005I have 400 JPEG movie stills I want to put subtitles on. The font should be white Arial with a black outline.
I have been adding a black 2mm "Stroke" to white Arial text, but each time I open a new image, I have to set-up the stroke again.
What I want is to save my stroke settings so I can just type in this "subtitle font" onto each image and save it.

May 4, 2013A couple of days ago, a friend gave me a downloaded film called an MP4 Bluray (a 2 hour movie) The file size was 1.96 GB. When I watch it on the computer, the quality is HD quality.So I thought I would render it to a BDMV file (now 21GB) for burning a BLURAY disc, and when played on my BLURAY player, the quality is still excellent HD quality.
why save all of my disc images or BDMV files etc. at 20GB or so for 2 hours of footage if we can use these MP4 files and maybe archive these ?
VideoStudio :: Difference Between AVCHD And MPEG-4 HD?
Jun 14, 2012I just moved from a Sony HDV (HDR-HC3) camcorder to a Panasonic AVCHD one (HC V700). When rendering my final video, I've always used MPEG-4 HD. This new camcorder records in AVCHD. I'm not sure if I should be outputting to MPEG-4 HD or AVCHD. Before I had issues rendering in AVCHD, which is why I didn't use it.
What's the main differences in MPEG-4 HD vs. AVCHD? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Which one is better and the one I should use?
VideoStudio :: Difference Between Canon HV30 And JVC?
Oct 6, 2010After about 3 years or more of using my Canon HV30 I decided to lash out & buy an AVCHD camera, I opted for a JVC HM330 with a 30x optical zoom & 8gb memory. Got it for a good price.
I was eager to try AVCH editing with my new core i5 laptop.Its doable but no as quick as HDV.But my question is about video quality.
The JVC is supposed to record at 24mbps which should put it up there with the Canon I would have thought.
However I fell that the Canon has the better picture, it seems a bit crisper but only just there is not much in it. Why would this be? Is it becuase the Canon is just a better camera even though its getting long in the tooth now?? or is AVCHD still to catch up with HDV?

VideoStudio :: Difference Between Video Track And Overlay Tracks?
Aug 20, 2013What is the difference between the Video track and the Overlay tracks?
I noticed that I cannot trim the "overlay" clips, but when I added some screen recording to my folder and placed it on the timeline, it automatically goes to the Overlay track. And from there, I cannot trim them as the scissors icon is greyed out. Is there a way to add those clips to the video track instead of the overlay track if there is no other video in the way?
VideoStudio :: X5 - Editing Volume Difference Between PROJECT And CLIP Play
Aug 16, 2012I purchased VideoStudio X5 for HD editing of .MTS clips from my Panasonic HS700 video camera. I transfer the clips to my hard drive using explorer and then use the X5 program to bring them into the library and then to the timeline. Due to my volume problem I re-downloaded VSX5, reinstalled it and installed SP1 patch, updated my Video Card Driver to the latest, updated Direct X and made sure my Microsoft Updates are all up to date.
My Volume problem is, during the editing proces you use both the Project playback and also individual clip playback. Without any manual changes to clip volume, when I play an individual clip the volume is substatially higher than when I play the project over the same clip area. This is annoying to me and those nearby. Earlier versions of VS did not do this.
If I change the individual clip volume up or down from 100% then when I play either the project or individual clip the volume remains the same (ie.it is no longer louder in clip mode).
VideoStudio :: Make Audible Difference If Use Voice Over Track For Music?
Aug 24, 2011Does it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there.When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.

Now for some reason I can't make the video clips run after the title but the first one runs at the same time with the title overlayed. I guess I could shoot some black video to add as the first clip but it was working before.

Oct 30, 2012The program comes with a nice selection of title appliqués. The problem arises when you try to use one of them. I am able to make a nice title using the appliqués as a starting point. After changing the text, I basically change the font and color. The new text takes but when I attempt to include that title on my time line, as soon as it starts to run it reverts back to the colors and fonts of the included app. If I attempt to save my changed title, it first reverts back to the original colors and fonts, then saves it. How in the world do I get one of those things to stick.

How can I use the titles where I have a counting title on screen, adding up the total number of people exiting the limo?

VideoStudio :: Adding Title To A Clip?
Aug 29, 2012I am using VS Pro X4 for quite some time. All of a sudden today, I was not able to "add a title" to a clip. It was working fine yesterday. Whenever I clicked "T" for "add a title to a clip", it switches from "Clip" to "Project" and although the "Double click here to add a title" was shown obviously nothing happened because it was in "Project" view.
After Brian told me that it always go from Clip to Project when clicking "T" or double clicking the Title track, that seems to be normal.. After using VS since VS 9, I have not noticed that before (if something works one usually does not notice anything...).
After re-installing VS Pro X4, per instructions in corel.force.com "How to remove X4 manually", and reinstall it, I am still not able to add text to the clip. Clicking "T" or double clicking the Title track still gave me the "Double click here to add title " notice in the preview window, but nothing happened upon double clicking the Preview window.
Out of curiosity I also ran VS X2 ,that is also in my computer, and with X2 the same problem exists --> no text can be added to a clip.
Back to VS Pro X4, however, I am able to drag a VS pre-set Title clip (Lorem Ipsum) to the Title track and then modify the text. So, if I could not get the problem solved of adding text directly to a clip, I have to add text the long way through the preset Lorem Ipsum clips.

Oct 13, 2010Whenever I add title text which appears to be perfectly centered in the editor, some of it disappears to the right after rendering. To fix this I have to guess how far to the left I enter the text in the editor so it doesnt disappear. Is there some option which would allow me to enter text and have it appear as I enter it? The text is over the background of a colour and I suspect it doesnt like the fact that I am outputting the result as 16:9 which I thought vs pro x2 can handle.

How does one get the video to end on the photo with the title in place, or, freeze on the photo and title after the tile appears. The more I extend the title bar, it just takes longer to appear and still disappears at the end.
