VideoStudio :: How To Fade Titles And Background / Group Title Elements To One Object
Feb 27, 2012I use titles a lot with VS x4 and have a couple of questions. I often use the backgrounds available in VS x4 under the titles to add style and make them more visible. I usually fade up to the title and fade back out again. However, when I do this, the title itself fades fairly smoothly but the background looks terrible. Is there any way to get titles and backgrounds to fade in/out together s-m-o-o-t-h-l-y?

Watch the background for "Just a Good Read"... as the title fades off at the end of this title sequence, the background doesn't fade -- it just sort of snaps off. I really like the background but want it to fade in/out smoothly with the title.
Another question about titles: Is there any way to group title elements together so that they become one object? I created a complex title with lots of little elements such as dashes. However, when I move any one element, the others don't move, and lining them up again is a pain. Can I associate these items to create a single object in which everything is moved (and for that matter, sized) together?
VideoStudio :: Adding Title To A Clip?
Aug 29, 2012I am using VS Pro X4 for quite some time. All of a sudden today, I was not able to "add a title" to a clip. It was working fine yesterday. Whenever I clicked "T" for "add a title to a clip", it switches from "Clip" to "Project" and although the "Double click here to add a title" was shown obviously nothing happened because it was in "Project" view.
After Brian told me that it always go from Clip to Project when clicking "T" or double clicking the Title track, that seems to be normal.. After using VS since VS 9, I have not noticed that before (if something works one usually does not notice anything...).
After re-installing VS Pro X4, per instructions in corel.force.com "How to remove X4 manually", and reinstall it, I am still not able to add text to the clip. Clicking "T" or double clicking the Title track still gave me the "Double click here to add title " notice in the preview window, but nothing happened upon double clicking the Preview window.
Out of curiosity I also ran VS X2 ,that is also in my computer, and with X2 the same problem exists --> no text can be added to a clip.
Back to VS Pro X4, however, I am able to drag a VS pre-set Title clip (Lorem Ipsum) to the Title track and then modify the text. So, if I could not get the problem solved of adding text directly to a clip, I have to add text the long way through the preset Lorem Ipsum clips.
VideoStudio :: Adding Title To Beginning Of Video?
Dec 18, 2010I'm trying to add a title to the beginning of my video but when I drag my video clip down to the timeline I can't get it to start after the beginning title. How do I add deadspace to the video timeline so my title text shows at the beginning? I can't figure this out. It seems so simple. I just want text at the beginning and then after 10 seconds I want my home video to start.

Nov 12, 2013I'm trying to make a video where while the video is playing a series of dollar signs are added as if someone is typing. i'm able to do this with just adding a new title with one more dollar sign each title. What I'd like to do then is show the dollar signs being deleted and then a series of red hearts are typed in its place. I can't seem to figure out how to get hearts or any picture/object in a title.

Nov 5, 2012I'm just about ready to buy Corel Studio Pro X5, but one "issue" is bothering me, I cannot fade in and out the overlay track. I can drag the cross-fade onto the image or video, but it doesn't cross-fade with the actual video. Instead, the screen suddenly goes black and the overlay track fades in. Same on the way out, it just fades to black (queue the music ) and then the underlying video pops back in.
I'm using the 30-day trial Video Studio Pro X5.

Jan 13, 2013I have inserted a .wav file I split from another video, to use as a background sound at the first and end of my project while the credits come up. I want the sound file to fade in and fade out at start and finish. The 2 fade in/out buttons work, but, fading seems to go from 0 -60mph in a .5 seconds.
So, is there away of stretching the fading at each end of the file?

Jul 6, 2011I haven´t used VS X3 for a while... everything as fine. Recently I used it again, and it happened that the fade-in/fade-out buttons (in the video edit group of controls) for the overlay clips do not work. Even though I select them to enable the fading, the overlay video starts without any fading.Is there any special setting somewhere that can change the behavior of these buttons. Also the rotating fade in/out does not work ay more.

But, I couldn't figure out how to get a certain effect I was wanting to use. Basically, at the 2:34 mark there is a picture of a lady kneeling down petting a puppy. The very next picture is the same lady with the same dog as an adult. I was trying to get the second picture to fade into the screen and the first picture fades out. So they kind of "morph" if you will. I assume that's possible - but I am just to new to the program to figure it out.

Apr 16, 2013How to manage adding titleblocks to sheets. On my last few projects I had x-ref'd in a titleblock which contained all of the generic info that was consistent throughout the whole sheet set. Then I created a block that I inserted into each sheet that I could edit and make sheet specific.
While this works, once you have insertion points correct, I was thinking about instead making the generic part of the titleblock a block also. My concern is that as I have revisions, the generic block that I would update would not "ripple" through the whole set quite like it did when I was x-refing it in.

AutoCad :: Adding Client Logos To Drawing Title Block?
Apr 20, 2012I am about to recieve an order to provide drawings to a new client who has requested me to author an new blank drawing title block for the required drawings. The company does however have a Logo and other necessary details.
My question is: What format should the logo be in and how do I transfer this into the drawing title block, bearing in mind that I will most likely have to change the size to suite the various size drawings sheets, namely A0, A1, A2 etc?
I have attempted to search for this information on CT and having found the topic been denied request to open whatever. This is a copy of the notification receive when attempting to open a topic:

Dec 22, 2010How to fade the volume out completely at the end of a audio clip. I have read the manual on the subject and have tried to follow the instructions that it gives. Until now I have not had any success. I know that I am missing something I just don't know what it is. I would like the audio to fade out completely so that I can fade in to another audio clip. I have clicked the fade out tabs but the volume only decreases a little at the end of the clip.

Sep 24, 2011I'm trying the demo version of MotionStudio 3D. So far it looks very powerful and much easier to use than Graffiti. It allows you to export a project directly to the timeline in Video Studio. I wanted credits superimposed over another scene and I wanted the credits to fade in and fade out. So I put the exported titles onto track 2 in VS. I set the allignment options in VS to "fit to screen." The middle part of the clip where transparency=0 looks great. But the beginning and end, where transparency=100, instead of the title being disappearing, it turns black.
If that doesn't work, is there a way I can use VS to accomplish the same fade-in / fade-out of something on track 2? You can specify transparency for the clip on track 2, but that appears to be just one value for the entire clip, not something you can modify with keyframes.

The closest I can get is this: Black color, Crossfade Transition, Video Clip This would work, but transitions are limited to 3 seconds.
Also, is there a way to freeze a video for a defined amount of time? I know inserting a capture of the last frame as a still image would work, but seems like a bit of extra work.
