Feb 8, 2010I have a bolt program that draws the thickness of a bolts in elevation as a polyline with a global width, what i need is a lisp to then change this lwpolyline to a hatch, ie if global width is 20 and the polyline is 30 long i need to change this to a 20x30 solid hatch, is it possible to get the the global width and length and convert this to a boundary hatch? I need the same thing done for bolts in plan too as the circle is a lwpolyline also.

Jul 22, 2013I just created a dimension style called "Test" and I am now attempting to use its DIMCLRD and DIMCLRT properties without success.
DIMCLRD is supposed to assign a color to dimension lines and arrowheads. How to use this property to assign, say, color index 140?
AS well, DIMCLRT is supposed to assign a color to dimension text. A code snippet on what I am attempting to accomplish is posted below:

Nov 25, 2012I created a pattern in Photoshop CS6 for a project with shape lines which reside on shape layers. I want to change the line weight but after I create them it seems there is no way of changing the shape; even after I select line.
I can change the spread (uniform distribution) of the lines and lengh but not their weight. No matter if I choose all or just one of the lines which are all on the same shape layer the weight does not change. This does not make sense. [URL]....
GIMP :: How To Increase Width Of Lines In PNG File
Jun 4, 2013I have a picture in png format which contains some waveforms. I want to increase the thickness of the waveforms.
One way could be to draw thicker lines on the waveforms in Window's paintbrush but that is very time consuming and cumbersome process.
Can it be done using GIMP? I am attaching the part of the picture which has two waveforms. For the sake of illustration, the thickness can be made double of the existing one.

Nov 9, 2011We use electircal elements in AutoCAD dwgs that have labels to indicate the status of the element by phase. For instance on a floor plan we might have elctrical outlets that are existing (E), new (N), demo (D), etc. How does one do this efficietnly in REVIT? Is there a way to assign a paramter to grab the phase of the object and then adjust a label accordingly? This would be ideal because over time the element s might move from one phase to another such as from new to existing.

Apr 25, 2012I copied some lines with global widths into another drawing and the line is displayed and printed with an outline around the global width of the line in the new drawing.. almost like it is a (3D offset for the global width, and not solid fill)
I have checked my fillmode. "fillmode = 1" and I also checked my UCS "UCS is set to current"
Why is this happening and if it has to do with some inherent properties of that new dwg?

May 14, 2011I am relatively un-practiced using AutoCAD and I am struggling with keeping my drawing in the state it was created. All of my curved lines seem to have moved or doubled so now there are two of the same very close to each other which makes the line width seem heavy. Because my curved lines are not exactly where I created them now it means that my hatching does not sit flush with its boundary. A separate issue is that when I am choosing 'pick points' to hatch, they take a very long time to select before the hatch box appears.

I can print other photographs in inDesign and other products perefectly on the same printers. I have created a 'Title Sheet' stamp for entering the proposed materials that are intended for a building project. This is used for a UK Planning Application where the required materials intended for use in a project need to be declared. Having created a suitable stamp where the information infills are created from Project Information parameters I need occasionally to widen the column width to accommodate the amount of text so that it does not need to drop down to another line and be lost behind the text on the next line?

On the second column 'Proposed' the word 'panels' which comes after 'weatherboard' is lost behind the lower line. If I can lock each label to the vertical lines to their left (they are all center) formatted) and extend their width to the right, along with the column vertical dividing line, then the labels will fit. Similarly I could increase the depth of each row.

I am hatching (a very quick sketch for info) but the hatch lines are going across the ploy line zone.
What happening. I cannot snap to these, but if in put a selection window acorss an of the lines, it will select the hatch.
I dont want to see these and dont want to have to hatch indivual rectangles. Never seen this before.
I cannot see anythign obvious in any of the settings.

Sep 2, 2012I have a floor plan with a very long footprint in a "View" drawn at a convenient scale.
The long building had to be broken to be put on several different "Sheets", and each of the floor plans on each of the sheet has a scale.
When I change the scale of the partial plan on one "Sheet", all the other sheets also change to the same scale and also the original view changes to the new scale.
Is there a way to assign the desired scale of the plan on one sheet without affecting the scale on the other sheets and on the original drawing view?

May 7, 2013I have to use concrete hollow core slab in my project, but I was wondering, if it is possible that the hollow core slab automatically adjust itself to the width of the room. I have attached a screen-shot of the problem, where the the last hollow core slab overlap the beam. I can manually change the width of the last beam, but it would take a lot time, moreover if I change the dimension of the overlapped beam, then i have to readjust the last hollow core slab.

Nov 8, 2012We are using a file created by another company and making additions to it for Interiors. While working in this file we have added some new layers and have begun to hatch new walls. While hatching some of these wall my boss received a message saying that the file had errors. He saved and closed the file at that point. When he re-opened the file a number of lines were missing from the file.
They appear to be completely random - i.e. parts of chairs are missing but not the whole chair, parts of walls but not whole walls. The things missing were not all on the same layer and were not necessarily items that had been hatched.
Note - we are running 2012 and the files were created in 2007

Dec 3, 2012I have a problem with a File in Autocad.
We have a dynamic block here at work that has a solid hatch in it. It is a simple block which only utilizes a dropdown menu.
This block is a circle with a solid hatch in it. However when I select the block via dropdown menu, the hatch is not solid, it is a bunch of lines originating from the center of the circle.
I have never had this problem before with this block and nothing has changed with the block.
It also works fine when I open up other drawings.
This tells me that there is a problem with the settings of this specific file but I cannot figure out what setting.
I believe the problem occurred because I brought my work home with me and I have different settings on my autocad (both ACAD 2011).
