Jan 21, 2013I have recently installed Revit on my windows interface via Parallels on a best of the line Macbook Pro. For some reason the display is hazy and the lines and annotations are not very clear. I have attached the picture here as well.

I'm getting erratic behavior of the crosshairs when trying to draft. There are two independent problems, depending on which view mode i'm in:
1.
In 'Cristal' or 'Coherence' view the crosshairs move with a lag or delay as i move my mouse. I've seen other complaints about this on forums, but no working solution as far as i can see.
2.
In 'Window', 'Fullscreen' & 'Modality' views, the crosshair movement is initially smother and more responsive, but then i'm getting a weird erratic jog effect when i try to pan around the model (by holding down the middle mouse button and dragging.
Both of these problems are incredibly infuriating and make drafting in Parallels a misery. AutoCAD LT is supposed to be supported in Parallels now so I'd like to know if there's a way of getting around this horrible UI glitch.
Photoshop :: Installing CS4 On IMac With Parallels / Win7
Sep 9, 2013My Dell computer running WIN7 just died and we have replaced it with an iMac running Parallels/WIN7. I have tried to install my CS4 on the new machine and have the following problem. Disk 1 loads fine and goes to the end and asks for Disk 2. I insert Disk 2 and it won't continue the install. I have opened the disk and all files are in good shape.

Nov 5, 2012I have Photoshop CS5 running on a MacBook OS 10.8 under Parallels/Windows XP. When I try to "Save as", the dialog box does not come up. I have installed the latest update. The other CS5 programs (e.g., Dreamweaver and Fireworks) do not have this problem. Also, when I try to do a "Save for Web and Devices", the dialog box DOES come up, but it is oversized for the window and cannot be resized to make the control buttons accessible.

Aug 17, 2011I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro and originally thought that I would be able to switch between boot camp and parrallels to run Inventor. After reading several threads there seems to be a problem with the Inventor Licience breaking if you switch from on environment to the other.
Has tried using the Lic. Transfer Utility when switching between the two. I know it sounds like a hassel, but shouldn't that work? I sure that isn't how it Utility was designed, but since the program thinks that you have changed computers?
I haven't tried this personally, but really that Inventor running thru boot camp would be the best environment for serious work and I could use parallels when I need to less intensive design or review?
I have loaded parallels 6 and windows 7 as a virtual machine with boot camp. I haven't loaded Inventor but plan on doing that today?

Apr 8, 2013If there's a conflict between the UI for teh AutoCAD drawing window and Parallels? There seems to be a consistent change in mouse behavior when the mouse moves to the AutoCAD drawing window when running AutoCAD ('11, '12, '13, '14) under Parallels (5, 6, & 7).
Since Parallels is now officially supported.

Feb 11, 2013using CorelDraw 5 with Parallels 7 on a MacBookPro to access Windows 7 and CorelDraw X5 -
Normally CorelDraw x5 will launch Photo Paint when you choose Edit Bitmap from Corel Draw. Then you can edit in photo paint and on save and close you are back in Corel Draw and able to continue there. However this is not the case for me with Parallels 7. It does not launch Photo Paint as expected.
Revit :: Saving To Different Programs
Jan 14, 2014My school has Revit Architecture 2013 and can't upgrade it until this summer. Will I be able to save my file in Revit Architecture 2013 at school and transfer it home to Revit 2013 or 2014? The real question is, will I be able to save back to Revit Architecture 2013 from Revit 2014 or Revit 2013? Are the programs compatible?

Dec 6, 2011I'm working in Revit 2012. Everytime I save my file it just sits there and thinks. When CTRL-ALT-DEL revit is not responding so I have to end task. The file is not of abnormal size and has been functioning fine until today. I haven't done or made anything in revit out of the ordinary. When I re-open the file I get a "seek failed" message. I open the backup file just fine, but again, cannot save it without it locking up on me again. I have audited and purged. I have copied and saved a new file under a different name.

Oct 23, 2012We are running Revit 2012 Suites on iMac w/Parallels w/Windows XP SP3. Office file server is a Lion Server running 10.7.5. While working in Revit we can; save PDF's to server, export DWG/DXF to server, and for a few moments after opening a file we can save a .rvt file to the server. But after more than ~2min, Revit freezes at any save attempt and we have to force quit through the task manager.
Last few lines of journal entry for event reads as follows.

this error has persisted throught Revit 2011 and 2012 versions.
Revit :: Dialog Appears When Saving Files?
Oct 25, 2013Whenever we sync or save our Revit files a dialog appears in the center of the drawing window. The dialog is titles Family and shows the Type selector pulldown.
It won't dock, and if you move it it moves back. This is occurring on all versions of Revit 2012, 2013, 2014. I have seem other users as well with the same issue.
Revit :: Saving MEP File Back To Earlier Version?
Feb 13, 2012I have Revit MEP 2012 and created a small guest house in this program. I wanted to add some features using Revit Architecture 2011that are not available in the MEP program. When I tried to bring the files up in the Revit architecture program I get an error message that the drawing was created in a later version of Revit. Is there any way to save the MEP file back to an earlier version of Revit like one could do with Autocad drawings?

Mar 14, 2013I'm running Revit Architecture 2012. I did a render and it looks fine in the default {3D} View. I selected to save it to the project and when I go to the renderings view to recall it, the color balance is all shifted off way way to the blue end. I tried going back over to render dialog and adjusting the white point all the way up, and it had the expected effect in the {3D} View (shifting everything to overblown orange), but nothing changed at all in the renderings View when I tried to resave it after making the adjustment.

Oct 16, 2012I have started editing photos using the Photo Fix Options in Instant Fix. I have then switched to Photo Editor to fine tune my edited picture. When I use save or save as, to save the edited picture both the edited and original appear in the files. If I start in in Photo Editor and save there is an option to uncheck that reads "Save in version set with Original" However I am more comfortable with beginning in Instant Fix and then switching to photo editor. For some reason when I go to save after switching from Instant fix to Photo editor the uncheck feature is no longer available. step by step instructions to save revised photo afterusing Instant Fix first then Photo Editor.

Aug 5, 2013I had worked on an image, came back to it the day after and my worked hadn't been saved, but I didn't remember closing the image without saving.
This is now happened a number of times on 3 machines. Whilst working in fullscreen mode and coming to the end of my work I pressed command+S. Pressing F twice to exit fullscreen mode, the progress bar at the bottom of the window didn't show and the red close button at the top left of the window didn't have a black dot in it (to signify something has changed which hasn't been saved).
When I press command+w to close to file, there is no prompt to save. The file just closes. On inspection of the modified date of the file, it appears that no save was executed at all. The date was from the previous day.
I have lost large amounts of work through this floor in the software. I have used PS since v1 so I am no novice, but this problem is really dangerous and needs sorting out as a matter of priority.

Both took the same amount to save; one as PSD, and one as LPEG. Is there a cure for saving documents faster? do I have to increase the GBs in the performance option box?
