I have recently installed Revit on my windows interface via Parallels on a best of the line Macbook Pro. For some reason the display is hazy and the lines and annotations are not very clear. I have attached the picture here as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCAD 2011 for a school project. It's pretty basic work--just making 2D architectural plots with imperial annotation units. I'm having two problems.
1) My school computers only have the "educational version" of the program installed, and it only has a continuous line. I need a dotted line for some parts of the project. Is there someplace where I could download the appropriate .lin file and add it to the program?
2) I have figured out how to change the program into the "Architectural" units mode, but when I make dimension lines the measurements say, for instance, 2.5 instead of 2'6". How can I change this from the former to the latter?
I am considering revit to do house plans / construction drawings. Revit seems very easy to make a model of the house but what about adding all the annotation like call-outs, multi-leaders, revision clouds, text paragraphs etc...

View 9 Replies View RelatedNew to this video editing game, just have a question regarding 4.3 and 16.9. i have a Canon XM2 which has a setting in the menu for 16.9 wide screen format. When this is selected on the camera the view finder shows a distored image (squshed). I have also found a setting that when 16.9 is turned off you can display 2 horizontal lines on the display. my question is am i better off shooting footage with the 16.9 turned off on the camera and then using Videostudio pro x4 to create the 16.9 format(if this can be done).

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe contrast does not work evenly, or something. When I try to fix a hazy overcast horizon, the contrast just makes it worse --it appears to only work on the dark areas. Also, the shadows (I assume the renamed fill) appears to work unevenly as well. To accomplish what I want, before this version all I needed to do was boost the contrast and fill, and mayby tweek the brightness. Now I cannot get there from here.

I'm getting erratic behavior of the crosshairs when trying to draft. There are two independent problems, depending on which view mode i'm in:
1.
In 'Cristal' or 'Coherence' view the crosshairs move with a lag or delay as i move my mouse. I've seen other complaints about this on forums, but no working solution as far as i can see.
2.
In 'Window', 'Fullscreen' & 'Modality' views, the crosshair movement is initially smother and more responsive, but then i'm getting a weird erratic jog effect when i try to pan around the model (by holding down the middle mouse button and dragging.
Both of these problems are incredibly infuriating and make drafting in Parallels a misery. AutoCAD LT is supposed to be supported in Parallels now so I'd like to know if there's a way of getting around this horrible UI glitch.
I just installed inventor. When I begin a part there is no display of the planes, only the corner indicators show up when I hover over a plane. Also, when a part is created, only the edges show up when I hover over them.

After I close the program or the drawing, I am not able to see the contour lines again. The contour lines are on in the surface style. I have tried to install my CS4 on the new machine and have the following problem. Disk 1 loads fine and goes to the end and asks for Disk 2. I insert Disk 2 and it won't continue the install. I have opened the disk and all files are in good shape.

The other CS5 programs (e.g., Dreamweaver and Fireworks) do not have this problem. Also, when I try to do a "Save for Web and Devices", the dialog box DOES come up, but it is oversized for the window and cannot be resized to make the control buttons accessible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a MacBook Pro and originally thought that I would be able to switch between boot camp and parrallels to run Inventor. After reading several threads there seems to be a problem with the Inventor Licience breaking if you switch from on environment to the other.
Has tried using the Lic. Transfer Utility when switching between the two. I know it sounds like a hassel, but shouldn't that work? I sure that isn't how it Utility was designed, but since the program thinks that you have changed computers?
I haven't tried this personally, but really that Inventor running thru boot camp would be the best environment for serious work and I could use parallels when I need to less intensive design or review?
I have loaded parallels 6 and windows 7 as a virtual machine with boot camp. I haven't loaded Inventor but plan on doing that today?
I'm running Illustrator CS6 using Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7. It appears that the ctrl/alt keys do not work. I've tried resetting my preferences and restarting my computer.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know the coordinates relative to the last entry when creating lines (splines). When creating splines using the line tool, it would be useful to know the coordinates of my current cursor position relative to the last point in an easy way, so I can draw precisely a long line without having to memorize the coordinates of the last point.
Initially, I thought the 'Keyboard Entry" rollout would show the values that reflect what I'm doing visually, just like the rectangle tool for example, or pretty much any other tool, I don't know why the 'line' tool is different but anyways.
I used Solid Edge for my entire professional career. One thing that is driving me batty is how, when necessary in a view for clarity, tangent lines are displayed and how to change them, or at the very least, come up with a work around to display them how is needed. In general, tangent lines are first, supposed to be of thinner lineweight, but also, are not supposed to extend all the way across the surface of a part, they are to leave a small gap.
I have found and tried the option of displaying tangent lines, and also have checked the for shorten option. The issue is, in many of the parts the gap produced in HUGE. So I've spent a few hours tinkering, and I finally decided to try and define a new linetype using autocad express tools. So I tried this, but to my dismay I haven't been able to set up a linetype that only has a gap at the end. See attached jpeg for illustration.
