Dec 29, 2011Is it possible to enter a custom number of frames in a solar study so the length of the overall animation can be lengthened and the quality of the animation improved?

Revit :: Create Sun Study Animations
Nov 28, 2012I need to create some sun study animations, showing the movement of shadows in a courtyard over the course of the day. My in-house revit guru says we can't run animations using cloud render and need to come up with a work-around. I've got Studio Max Design, but I find Mental Ray to be nitpicky and less accurate than cloud rendering.

Dec 18, 2011I can place a solar panel on the roof, but cannot do anything with it. When I try to tilt it from upright, it turns yellow and says "cannot rotate" . Been stuck on this problem for a week now, and am quite frustrated as you can imagine. Have tried every trick that I and others have suggested to no effect. Seems to be constrained to one of my vertical reference lines. Reference line is listed as the "host", but it's greyed out, so I can't change it. Tried to disassociate from reference line, but can't.
Went in to "family" and noticed that there's and extrusion underneath the panel (invisible when placing the panel). Don't know what it's there for, or if this has anything to do with it. I can't delete or modify it.
I've also tried to create my own solar panel, but can't figure out how to save it as "my own" family.
I simply want to tilt the panel back about 35 degrees. I've tried to tilt it in all different views. Sometimes I can get it to tilt along the wrong axis, never on the one I want it to. Is there any way I can create my own panel with a sketch program, import it into Revit, and save it as a component?

Dec 9, 2011I can place a solar panel on the surface of the roof (flush with roof surface), but cannot tilt it up. No matter what I try, an error message comes up saying "can't rotate element into this position".Have tried creating new panel, renaming it, etc. The panel seems to have a constraint of some sort that I cannot override.

Jun 5, 2013This is regarding a error message by Video Studio Pro X5 understanding a fault message which I got after creating a DVD map. This is the original message in Dutch: "Sommige startframenummers van hoofdstukken zijn groter dan het aantal frames". 533:-2147216477:0 Translation: "Some start frame numbers of chapters are greater than the number of frames"

The situation: I have all the same video files (H.264, 24 bits, 25.000 f/s) [worked with this kind of files a couple times and worked alway very well] I have added some tekst and pictures. Total length of video is 01:50 hour. Starting the procedure DVD creating, with burning the DVD folders on my harddisc. Afther the burning proces I got the fault message.
After creating the DVD map I got the fault message (as describbed above) and found on my harddisc the VIDEO_TS folder with 5 files VTS_01_1 till VTS_01_5. The total time of these loose files is ca. 76 minutes. So I missed a hughe chunk. I got the same fault message when I have created chapters within the videofile but also when I created chapters later at the video menu.
When I do not burning a DVD folder but select creating a video file (DVD-video) than I get separated end files instead of just one big file. Maybe this has the same cause?
Revit :: No Time To Enter Info In Properties Box?
Dec 16, 2013When I'm changing a view title or any info, the box desactivate in a second, so I don't even have time to enter one letter. I have to clic 2 to 3 times and be quick to type something before it load. (I can enter 1 or 2 letter and it's loading it as a new name before I can write the whole word ...)
I have properties and project tree vertically stacked, and when I scroll down in properties, it scroll back up automatically, I can't reach the lower info without play with scroll to keep it down..
Paint Shop Pro :: Creating Custom Edges / Frames?
Dec 28, 2011Using X4 on Windows 7. I'm trying to create a series of custom edges to supplement those already supplied in X4. I've created the edge ok and exported it as a frame and it works ok. The problem is selecting it in the dropdown menu under Image/picture frames. Whereas the thumbnails of the supplied edges have grey shading to represent the transparent section of the edge, mine don't, they are just plain white and that makes it difficult to know what edge to select. What have I done wrong? I've opened a couple of the supplied edges and they look similar to mine ie no shading.

I dunno why, but when it started to run a part fill analysis, Inventor prompted me that it ""Failed to create a new study file".
I tried restarting inventor and still, nothing happened. Moreover, i tried another file and it worked. How come for this part it didnt?
Revit :: How To Do Walkthrough Down A Street - Adding More Frames
Sep 29, 2011I am using Revit 2012 and I am trying to do a walkthrough down a street. I had 1000 frames and 5 fps because we want it to move really slow... but with 5 fps it is choppy. So I tried adding more frames but when I export it I can an error message when I try to play the file saying "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file".
I am not sure what I am doing wrong.. is there a maximum amount of frames you can use?

After the iLogic rule has run and the user has entered a numeric value the type of the custom iproperty has changed to 'text'.

Nov 17, 2011I would like the size of bearing to be included in addition to existing data to the File name, Part number and Browser name like for example the DIN 625 T1 does. I have copied the DIN 625 bearings to the custom library. I have added required info to File Name building and to the Part Number building in the custom library and now my Filename and Part Number are as I like to.
But I cannot find how to force the Browser name to be equal to Part number or File Name? [URL]

Revit :: Stair Tread Number Missing In Printing?
Jun 11, 2013Stair tread number tool is wonderful. BUT it is being not printed properly.
Example image attached:
- 'on screen' on the left is taken from my screen. The numbers are shown correctly.
- 'after print' in the middle is a black&white pdf print by adobe pdf. you can see there is the last number missing.
- 'after print-random number missing' on the right is a coloured pdf print also by adobe pdf. several numbers are missing and it happened randomly.
