The message "Enter drawing number" appears at the bottom reading panel when File, Open are selected. After that the whole screen and commands are unresponsive until "Enter drawing number" message is cancelled.
On installation i clicked on trial because i couldnt find my serial number and then when i found my serial number i opened photoshop. cant figure out where i go to enter in my serial number so that its no longer doing a trial.
I'm supposed to be designing copy using a specific color guide: C = 79.5, M = 50.4 etc etc. When I go to enter these values, Photoshop tells me I can only use whole numbers.
Is it possible to enter a custom number of frames in a solar study so the length of the overall animation can be lengthened and the quality of the animation improved?
After a recent crash civil 3d now asks me to type in the full path and file name for a file i want to open after selecting the open option on the menu or toolbar.i know there is a variable that requires re setting but i don't know how.
Is there any possible way to enter a G Code into AutoCAD to end with the result of a 2D drawing of what my CNC has made? I have the code from the machine, and am not sure how to input it into the program to draw the face the CNC has cut out.
I am using 2012 and i would like to enter my dimensions in imperial into a metric drawing with autocad doing an automatic conversion. So let's say i write this:
12'-8-1/2"
Autocad has to take it like that into the metric drawing then, he has to convert this to 3873.5 mm. Is there a code i can put into some autocad file to make this software work like that?
i have a drawing boarder that is a block with enter-able text fields for drawing revision etc but for some reason the order in which you would enter the rev's 1,2,3, etc is the wrong way round in the enhanced attribute box. So when i click and start typing i end up with 3,2,1 in the rev boxes.
I am having a very frustrating time trying to create a DVD from my project.
I am not using chapters or menus at all so they can be ignored. I am simply trying to create a DVD-R from a project that contains 137 video clips (downloaded from my AVCHD camcorder) and a couple of titles. As VideoStudio goes through its compilation of the clips it stops when it reaches the 99th clip and throws up a message stating that ‘a maximum of 99 video media files is allowed’. Which is a crazy imposition to place in an otherwise excellent product! Once that message appears, I can only hit OK to exit and nothing more happens. I cannot add the remaining 38 clips and on closing the program, it does an automatic save and drops out of the DVD creation process.
In an attempt to get round the problem I created a video file (2.5GB) and used Windows Explorer to burn the MPG file to a Phillips DVD-R. No problem there, it even ran automatically on the PC with no trouble, but when trying to play it on my 3-year old Sony DVD Player/Recorder (HXD870) a message displayed on the TV (a Sony Bravia) to the effect that it could not read this type on disc.
Upgraded my computer to Windows 8 OS. I re-installed AutoCAD LT 2010. When I try to open a drawing it says drawing is currently in use or is read only. This a stand alone computer and not on a network.
I was wondering how everyone uses drawing numbers on their part and assembly drawings? Do you use the part names or drawing numbers to keep track of everything? And do you save the parts with their names or with a number? We are currently restructuring all our processes.
I am trying to convert my AutoCAD inventor 2013 file to a standard 2007 file by going "Save As" "Save Copy As" and then "Autocad DWG File" but i keep getting up a message "problems encountered while saving the document" How do i repair this?
Several times, with different files, I get a message when I try to save a drawing using ctrl-S (or when clsoing an un-saved dwg);
Unable to save to drawing B: (file location folder)file name.
Drawing saved to B: (same file location folder)savD214.tmp
The only option is to click OK
Now there are several .tmp files in my job folder. I haven't tried to open them or anything else.
The original file will be lost if I close the drawing. I've had this happen when I clsoe the drawing before saving it - I'll get a message asking if I want to save the draiwng before closing it, and then I'll get this message, click OK, and the file will be gone. I have to to the .bak file, make a copy of it and change the file extension name to .dwg to get the file back.
If I get this message when I'm just doing a ctrl-S save, I immediately do a "save-as", copy over the original file name, and everything seems to be fine.
I am using AutoCAD 2012 and I have an Issue that comes up once in a while. I will save the drawing that I am working in and a dialog box pops up with "AutoCAD Message. It says that it is unable to save to drawing, then lists the string where the drawing is found. Instead of saving as a .dwg, it creates a .tmp of the drawing. If I click the okay in the box it disappears and I can then resave the drawing as a .dwg. Lately it will even go so far as to lock the drawing and allow it to be only opened as a read only file.
I'm having an issue with my 2013LT. Everytime I open a new drawing I get a dialog box that says "One or more SHX files are missing. What do you want to do?" The options they give me are "Specify a replacement for each SHX file" or "Ignore and continue".
I am trying put drawing numbers on my drawings. The drawing number is "019-02-00038-x" where "x" is the page number in the set of drawings. How do I set this up? Every time I try to change "x" it changes it for the entire set of drawings.
What is the code to select a drawing sheet by either its number or description but NOT both together?
Sometimes want need to select the first sheet by number 1 but the sheet description can change. and Sometimes we will need to select the sheet by its description but the sheet number may vary.
I have a number of areas numbered 1,2,3......etc but I need to change the text to the following where only the last number that is underlined is to increase sequentially.
P23/L2/1
Could Tcount be used or is there a modified version available?
If not is there a quick way to automatically place a number block onto a drawing with a click and then for every other click sequentially increases the last number.
We have AutoCad LT 2012 version. We encounter fatal error when we save the drawing. we cannot finish our job because everytime we save our work it will show a messsage FATAL ERROR.
As you smart individuals can figure out, we do up drawing packages for construction that consist of several drawings, hundreds of drawings, for several modules of construction. Our process usually consists of one layout per drawing, so that the lisp guy can do a drawing count and put in sheet numbers based on how I manipulate the list of drawings in the one directory folder.
Now I have a client, despite the way we currently do things, requires that about 70% of the drawings will have multiple layouts. Now we're back in the stone ages, manually putting in sheet numbers, eating up our budget for this contract.
How to reference the drawign sheet number using iLogic? I see on the snippets on the side a way to reference the sheet name, but I only want the number. To get the name it is ActiveSheet.Name, but ActiveSheet.Number does not work. Getting the name give something like ASSM:1, so if there was a way to take that and subtract the colon and everything before it that would work also. I am not a programmer, I've just taked some programs I found online and modified them a little to do what I want to do, but this is holding me back a bit.
Overall, I'm trying to modify the drawing view label to have a project number, referenced from the drawign iProperties, a view label, and sheet number, and then save that info in an iproperty of the part, and then reference that in the BOM so it automatically labels all of the views and fills out a column of the BOM to reference which page and view to find the parts of the assembly. I have everything working except for the sheet number.
We put several parts on a single drawing sheet and ,to include the part number in the drawing view label, we must edit each view label and change the type to Properties_Model and the Property to Part Number. Is there a way to set the default of a drawing view label to include the Part Number? I tried modifying the styles to include <PART NUMBER> but it the text "<PART NUMBER>" came in instead of the value. To get the value, I had to edit the view label and hit the X with a down arrow to get the part number to show up, which is not much different than having to edit the label and change type and property. I'm looking to avoid all the view label editing as much as possible.
why a drawing would open without a number of objects (text) showing? I open it up and all notes are gone, yet another user opens it up in "eDrawings" and it opens fine. Oddly, when in ACAD I click OPEN, the preview ACAD gives me when I click this file once shows the missing text etc. But when I open it they're missing.
Below is a screenshot of firstly the drawing open in ACAD and secondly open in eDrawings.
