I've placed the Multi-Segmented Grids in my large project that requires (6) dependent views per floor plan. In each of the dependent views, I'm trying to get the grid markers to show at the ends that ~I~ want them to show, but I'm not getting the checkbox.
Is this by design? Or is it a bug?
We have our first project in Revit that we are having to split among multiple sheets because of the size of the building, so I have made 3 dependent views from the main overall view, named them, cropped them and placed each part (A,B, and C) on separate sheets. Now that I am trying to do enlarged toilet plan views, I want to tag the plans with the plan callouts on the 1/8” sheets that are the dependent views, but all the view tags are referencing dependent view A since it is the first dependent view in the list. If I change sheet A to be named Sheet X for instance, all the view tags now reference sheet B since that becomes the first dependent view alphabetically. I want them to reference the sheet they appear in, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do that, even though they are in different dependent views completely and within the crop region, they all default to the first dependent view in alphabetical order.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to have two different layouts of my site plan. One is existing and does not show any of the new construction. The other is a complete view of the project. Is there a way to keep the existing site plan dependent while turning off the new construction to show only the previous + demo? If I set up a view template I cannot alter in the dependent view to make the changes that I want as options are greyed out. Is the only way to do this to create them as independent views?

I would like to dedact some parts of the Multi-Category Schedule (to only show the measurements of units of quantities valid for the given materials)
This seems achievable in the working view mode, but when I place the schedule in a layout, the dedaction is no longer visible.
If this setting cannot be transfered to the Layout view, is there a similar method that can be used to dedact some parts of the schedule?

Anything I can do to stop this happening. Split floorplan layout inserted on sheet to compress length to fit.Section lines appear in both and cant hide in one or the other hence overlapping
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading from 2013 to 2014 we have a few drawings that had profiles created in 2013 and now when we open the drawing in 2014 the profile view disappears and so we regen and then we get a fatal error. I ran an audit and there are no errors, I re-sycronized the surfaces, i also ran an audit on all the xreferences.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are having an issue with profile grid shooting off to the left of 0+00 rather than starting at 0+00 and stopping at the end of the profile. There is nothing in the settings that I can find that is telling the grid to extend close to 2000' to the left. Three of the four profiles are doing this. One of them displays correctly, but there are no differences that we can find in the settings.

I have just discovered that Spot Elevation text is mesbehaving in rotated dependent views:
If you have an orthogonal parent plan view, then create a dependant view from it, then rotate just that dependant view, then place a spot elevation - the spot elevation symbol respects the rotation of the view (ie its paralel to screen/view boundary), but the spot elevation text remains in the orientation of the parent view. see attached image.
This does not happen if you rotate a normal Revit plan view; nor does it happen with a callout - both cases the symbol and the text are parallel to the view boundary. I think this is a bug?
We as a company have just made the step towards Revit and I have been given the task to start using it and getting things to be presented as our company standards.
I have took a bit of time to create our section markers. They all seemed to work great and ticked them as complete off my list till I tested them and realised they are numbered. Is there a way I can get my section to be alphabetical e.g. section A-A, B-B etc.
If I add markers to a source clip and enter a name, then when I open the Markers panel, I only see Comments listed, not Names?

View 3 Replies View RelatedTwo of my elevation markers (North and East) have disappeared. The actual elevations are still visible and fully functional, but their tags have disappeared. "Elevations" is turned on in the View Properties dialog, but only 2 tags appear.
How to get them back?
Revit has a propensity to locate a lay-in ceiling grid with a grid intersection in the center of the room. You can use the alignment tool to align the grid with a wall. But I see no way to center a tile in a room. This is often a necessity in a narrow room, to keep the lights centered. Also, installers, when not given specific instructions to the contrary, will often locate the ceiling grid to minimize narrow tiles at the wall. We need more control over the position of the grid.

In the building file I have created some camera views and when you adjust the eye height the linked wall is distorted. note the correct alignment in perspective-01 and the distortions in *-02 & *-03.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen importing a multi-page pdf or ps file into a multi-page document, sometimes the inserted pages will all have their Document Grid layer visibility turned on, even when the existing pages in the document all have it turned off.
If I bring up the object manager, I can go through the affected pages and 'un-eye' them one page at a time. But it's a blooming nuisance, especially when importing dozens of pages at once.

I can find direction of this segment:

Ok, I have triangle but... it's not in segment direction, it's X-direction.
I try to rotate it:

I extracted a dynamic feature line from the gutter flowline of my Corridor. I labeled Multiple Segments for the feature line with a grade and vertex style that uses the "General Segment Grade" text component.
I am overiding lane cross slopes in the Section Editior and the segment grade labels for the extracted feature line do not update after I Update Corridor in the Section Editior.
If I raise/lower the CL profile of the corridor, the label updates. Just not reacting to these Corridor edits.
Peculiar behavior: The label will update to reflect the Corridor update if I Isolate it.

is it possible to tag a multi-view block?
i.e. I have a outlet recept thats a MVB. I have it linked to the space with has the circuit number for the electrical panel. Is it possible to tag a MVB similar to tagging a window?

also has a location set
recept property set (connected to the MVB of the receptacle):
formula pulls the circ number from the spaceobjects

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Room Tag (multi-view block) that was created in a previous release of AutoCAD Architecture that is not coming in at the correct scale in AutoCAD Architecture 2011. When we used to insert this block into an 1/8"=1'-0" drawing, it came in at a scale of 12.0,12.0,12.0. Now when we insert it into a 1/8"=1'-0" drawing, it comes in at 9.0,9.0,9.0. So, at 1/4"=1'-0" it comes in at 4.5,4.5,4.5; when it should be 6.0,6.0,6.0. I have many custom blocks that we have created for door tags, section refs, etc. and would just like to know what scale factor needs to be adjusted to fix this small issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Multi-Category Schedule and using certain fields it shows me Furniture, Toilet Assoc., Plumbing Fixturers, etc. All I want the Schedule to show is Furniture and Furniture Systems together in one schedule. When going to the Filter I choose Category>Equals>Furniture Systems and Category>Equals>Furniture. Assuming that the schdule would filter out everything else and only show items from the Furniture Systems Category and the Furniture Category. Instead it shows me nothing, eveything disappears. Its as if it is looking for a Catgory that is botn Furnitue Sysems and Furiture as one. I can do each Category individualy and its fine but I can't Filter by both? How can I get this scheudle to just show me Furniture and Funiture Systems? is their an update to correct a bug in the software that will fix this?
