After Effects :: Set Poster Frame Of Footage Item?
Jul 12, 2013I know how to set a poster frame for a comp (With comp selected, Composition>Set Poster Frame) but how does one set the poster frame for a footage item in the project panel? Obviously that option is grayed out as it is under the composition window. Is there any way to do this? Google has failed me. All my clips start with black video and I just want a way to quickly preview what their actual content is using the poster thumbnail.

I am simply trying to set which image (frame) will appear as the icon for a renedered comp. I understand how to set the poster frame for a comp, and I get the desired result in the project window when the comp is selected. I "set poster time" while the timeline window is selected as well, but when my comp is renedered the icon is always the frame at 10 seconds on the timeline.

The same way that static image banners work.The click action set up inside the animation works perfectly in all browsers other than IE 8 and below.In IE 8 and below, the animation is replaced with a frame with the "Poster. png" image with a link; as expected.When the image is clicked, it loads the new page inside the frame where "Poster.png" was located. Not in the enclosing window. I've tried every Link Target that is available as well as some custom JS and JQuery scripts with no resolve.

Jan 5, 2014It used to be that whenever i would move the cursor in adobe premier with either the left or right arrows or by simply clicking and dragging it, it would play the audio from that frame. But it is not doing it anymore, I think i must have accidently hit a shortcut key or something to change it in settings i dont know. But it would be good if I could get the setting to change it back. I know for a fact that my laptops speakers do work, so its not that.

When you place "Sharpen" and some third party plugin (Sapphire, NewBlue, BorisFX, ...) the 1 pixel wide rectangle starts to appear around the frame. Is it a bug?

I have an "Ai" symbol in the top left, which I thought was only on the PC version? All my tools disappear when I turn on application frame. I deleted the preferences file, no luck. Mar 12, 2014I am running Premiere Pro CC on a Mac running Mavericks. When I try to open a previous version project in CC that has avi or .dv files, I get the following error:
"The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third party components that could not be located. These sequences will be modified to use a custom sequence setting instead. To continue editing using original preset, quit the aplicationwithout saving the project, re-install and third party components that are required and re-open the project."
Once the project opens, the avi and .dv files are listed as 'offline'.Am I missing codecs or is this related to something else? I have a few projects with avi files so would be great to find out what's going on!
Premiere Pro :: Viewers Are Not Working?
Feb 21, 2014I got the program to load (see prior question). Now the viewers do not function correctly. I am working on a memorial video using pictures. I am working from project that was working. When I click on a picture, it does not showing in the source viewer. On the playback viewer, if I click on the viewer pane, the picture shows up, but does not advance to the next picture (the audio continues to play. If I click on the viewer again, it will change to the next p[icture, but that will also freeze. I am using windows 7 with 8 core processor and an ATI video card. I have updated quicktime, flash and also card drivers (from ATI site). Also having a problem updating as it is saying I have to disable a file claaed clickmanager.exe before it can install updates

May 31, 2012I go to Tools > Options > Paragraph Text Frame and untick 'show text frames'. I then go to Document and tick 'Save options as default....'. Restart. No change, I still see a red dotted line around the text frames. How do you turn these off? If I can't do that, can I at least change the colour?

Feb 3, 2014I used to have this problem with CS5 and hoped it wouldn't happen again when I bought in to CC.
In the timeline certain audio tracks will not allow me to enable clip keyframes. When I try the 'add keyframe' button is greyed out. I can add track keyframes no problem but using them is a lengthy work around. The error also seems to be radom and trashing my prefs makes no difference.
Specs are:
iMac 27" 3.4GHZ i7, 16GB DDR3, Radeon HD 6790M 2GB
Premiere Pro :: Working With 48fps Footage In CC
Mar 18, 2014I am currently working on a 24fps project with R3D footage in Premiere.Some of the footage for a new sequence I am working on was shot at 48fps (and will need to be exported to 24fps while retaining 48fps' slow motion effect).
Can Premiere play back in the program monitor at 48fps? Can it interpret/render 48fps footage to export to 24fps while retaining the original attributes of the 48fps footage? Or would I need to use additional software to accomplish this?
I would like to be able to edit/playback the footage at the correct frame rate within Premiere as I need to synchronize it with music to see which segments of the clips I have will work best.

Dec 13, 2013Needed the speedgrade update at 7.1 doesn't work, just had 7.2 update on my machine. As soon as i launch the app 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)SG doesn't work because it's waiting for PPro to start up.AE does start.
I've uninstalled, i've cleared the temp folder of downloads and tried again.PPro starts installing but complains 'installation suceeded but a patch failed' U44M1P37 is the code. It's left me with v7.0 installed, no further than that.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Insert Frame Command Is Not Working Properly?
Oct 26, 2011I have been using the frame generator quite often and recently the insert frame command is not working properly. I would like to know if there is a fix/patch for this problem or do I have to re-install the program? I am very frustrated with this problem as I do alot of structural design and the insert frame command comes in very very handy.

Premiere Pro :: CC CUDA Rendering Working With AVI Output Only
Jan 25, 2014on my system Premiere Pro CC is only using GPU rendering with AVI output formats.
All other formats like MPEG2, Quicktime, H.264 are unfortunatly fully CPU rendered (=slow).
I just upgraded from trial to payed mode and when Premiere started the CUDA was already enabled (might have activated it during trial already).
But anyway I checked if my card was in the support txt file and also used the cuda.zip auto tool to make sure I had no typo.I did this for Premiere Pro CC and also copied the list into the Adobe Media Encoder directory.
So I started playing with input and output formats. It turned out that CUDA is currently only working with AVI output. I installed GPU-Z to check my GPU usage vs CPU usage in the task manager.
As soon as I pick any other output format than AVI - CPU usage during rendering is up to 80-90 and GPU at 0%.
With AVI output GPU ist around 30 and CPU in the 40ties or less as it should be.One of my old applications Cyberlink Power Produces 11 is doing the h264 rendering in half the time.
My System is running on:
Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe with 16GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti (with current Driver - 332.21 )
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit (with Media Center) and latest updates
Current entry in CUDA*.txt file (as printed by Adobe GPUSniffer):

Premiere Pro :: Plugin Reset Button Not Working
Jan 21, 2014I'm using the Filmconvert plugin and the reset buttons do not work. I have the latest version of CC and Filmconvert plugin.
Filmconvert support said that "The functionality of the reset buttons is provided by the application API... plugin developers do not code that functionality and have no visibility or control over it... which is why it must be a Premiere problem. Have you asked Adobe tech support for assistance?".
I've tried reinstalling Filmconvert plugin and also resetting preferences.
Is it a bug?How do I contact Adobe for support? They don't reply to bug reports.
Premiere Pro :: OpenCL Not Working On MacBook Pro Retina (CS6)

One of the plugins I use in Premiere (FilmConvert) is using OpenCL fine, but Premiere doesan't seem to reconise it.
Premiere Pro :: CC Playback Of Lumetri Saved Looks Not Working
Nov 29, 2013I just upgraded to Premiere Pro CC and Speedgrade CC specifically to use the Dynamic Link btween these two programs. Exporting from Premiere to Speedgrade works great, but upon returning to Premiere, none of the clips that have the Lumetri effect added will play. The timeline and the audio play, but the video remains frozen on the last effect-free shot.
I noticed that Premiere can play the preloaded Lumetri Looks, but whenever I try to apply the Lumetri effect that recalls a saved look, again it freezes.
I have a nVidia Quadro 200 GPU, and I even updated to the latest driver hoping that would solve something, but no go.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Frame Generator Dialogue Box Working But Program Is Frozen?
May 2, 2013The company I work for has used autodesk models and set up their own frame generated parts. Basically took the models and every generated model will have their custom properties specific to our company. These custom parts appear when I change to the correct project and will not show on default. Frame generator has been working fine up until the past 2 days.
When I try and edit the a frame generated piece (deleting a trim with frame generator, editing a part with frame generator) the dialogue box shows and the blue bar is running across the box but it stays in this state until I exit the program. I have even let it load for about 30 minutes before after leaving it to go out for lunch.
This has only recently started happening and I am not sure what is wrong. Frame generator does work like normal sometimes. I don't have any programs that are using excessive amounts of memory in the background.
Premiere Pro :: Multichannel Quicktime Discrete Outputs Not Working In CC?
Jan 18, 2014I have tried dozens of times after reading great tutorials like here: [URL] but still no luck exporting multichannel discrete quicktimes in premiere pro CC. I have created and set a sequence for multichannels, then assigned channels in timeline to match and set export to match but still nothing but ONE working track out of 4 on number 1 and sometimes 2. I have tried outputting 4 strereo tracks with 8 channels panned and unpanned, 4 mono tracks, ect, ect.
Note: I am not seeing the split track button under the pan knob in the mixer like I did in version 6. Is this normal for CC?
