Well, turns out that restoring my pc to a point right before the installation of Adobe Reader fixed everything. And I have the same problems if I go on a webpage where Flash Player is working.

Feb 6, 2012A client of mine is unable to read correctly the pdf that I send him. The issue is this: I generate my pdf with the DWG to PDF.pc3 in my ACAD 2012 (64bits).
Within our office, the pdf looks correct, but when our client opens it, the mtext notes appear disorganized.
I am attaching two screenshots: text1 is how our pdf looks, text2 is how it looks when our client opens it.

The difference in image quality is because I receive a scan of what he prints.

Nov 20, 2013I have one function which generate the PDF file using COM API.
That function works fine and generated the PDF successfully.
Only problem is after generating the PDF, Adobe Reader is opened to display that DWG file which I have plotted.
so is it possible to plotting to PDF file without opening Adobe Reader?

Aug 12, 2013I am trying to install Photoshop CS 3 and Illustrator CS 3 on a OS running Windows XP Service Pack 2. When I use the setup file, windows invariably gives me an error. It's a generic windows error that suggests you to send a report file to Microsoft - I'm running Windows on russian language and therefore not sure of the exact wording.
Both setups have been known to work before. Note that the windows installation is relatively new, so it's therefore possible I'm missing some system files.

Jun 20, 2013Since installing Photoshop CC, I cannot associate jpg's or psd's with Photoshop CC. I have used the "open with..." dialog box (something I have done a million times, so I know what I'm doing), but after choosing Photoshop, it does not appear in the list of recommended or other programs and will not open the jpg or psd file in Photoshop.
FYI, I installed Photoshop CC while Photoshop CS6 was still on my computer. I then deinstalled Photoshop CS6 and that is when I noticed the problem.

Aug 13, 2012I want to submit and use pictures in a lossless format like png, but I've noticed that my colors don't get reproduced as vividly when I save in png vs. jpg or tiff because Photoshop (CS5/windows) seems to have broken png support (I guess it gets worse in CS6)... storing color profiles in png's while not widely done, have been part of the standard for over a decade.
Given Adobe's place a providing the premier image editing tools, It's hard to believe they'd not support accurate color in lossless images for the web, but I've yet to see any Adobe produced png that that contains a profile.
I do note, that libpng, the most widely used library for pngs, does have the ability to read and store ICC color profiles.
Maybe I'll have to write a post processor to add them on... as some programs do read them... and at least once, recently, in reading in a png file, I got a profile mismatch from Photoshop -- indicating that it can read profiles (OR, the file was only named .png, and was actually a .jpg -- if only I could remember what file it was...sigh...)
Maybe adobe could release an addon that automatically adds & prompts for profile settings on saves (assuming PS can use them)... Any work flows where people add them? Does PS read them in properly?

Dec 5, 2012I feel sure some of my settings must be incorrect. I have never had trouble until now. PSE 10 keeps pausing, screen dims and error message " not responding " appears. Also, trouble printing anything that is an Adobe document. All of this started happening at once, so I assume they are connected. make sure my drivers, settings, etc... are correct?

After working on an image & then opening the file in Elements 11 ( Expert tab ) it offers a variety of options to enhance the image. It seems to be doubling up OR can I import the file directly into Elements 11 & work on it without using Adobe Camera Raw ?

Mar 28, 2013I shoot raw srgb with Canon t3. I make adjustments in Canon's Digital Photo Professional then batch convert to jpg.
under color settings in cs6 I've chosen srgb, however, when I open my jpg picstures CS6 opens them as adobe rgb 1998 instead. I then have to convert them back to srgb.
How can I get CS6 to stop doing this so my pictures remailn srgb. I've tried checking the 'embed profile" box in DPP but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Nov 5, 2012I have been using Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) with my Canon EOS 30D, an 8 MP camera, for a while now. I would make non-destructive changes to the raw file (.CR2) in ACR where the changes would be stored in an adjoining .xmp file. Jpegs of the unedited and edited camera raw files would be created so I have a before and after versions of the images that can be viewed anywhere.
Now I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, a 22 MP camera and the raw files are much larger. I’m looking at using camera raw on jpeg files for some for my more casual photo shoots in order to save disk space. From what I have read, I can use ACR on jpeg files and that the changes would be stored in the metadata in the jpeg file. Is there a way for the changes to be stored in an adjoining .xmp file so that the original jpeg file is not modified, much like it is done with the .CR2 files?
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 machine. All software is up-to-date.
Also, I have found that Adobe’s camera raw handing is different than the raw handling of the photos using Canon’s software (DPP). Is there a way to make ACR closer to what Canon’s software does?
