View 3 RepliesI have one function which generate the PDF file using COM API.
That function works fine and generated the PDF successfully.
Only problem is after generating the PDF, Adobe Reader is opened to display that DWG file which I have plotted.
so is it possible to plotting to PDF file without opening Adobe Reader?
A client of mine is unable to read correctly the pdf that I send him. The issue is this: I generate my pdf with the DWG to PDF.pc3 in my ACAD 2012 (64bits).
Within our office, the pdf looks correct, but when our client opens it, the mtext notes appear disorganized.
I am attaching two screenshots: text1 is how our pdf looks, text2 is how it looks when our client opens it.
text1.jpgtext2.jpg
The difference in image quality is because I receive a scan of what he prints.
Like the subject says. I know there is a place to check or uncheck whether you want Adobe Reader to launch after you have saved a file to .pdf but for the life of me I can't remember where that is located.

I converted 5D Mark III Raw files to DNG with Adobe DNG Converter 7.4. When I import the DNGs into LR I noticed that the total pixel count has been significantly reduced. The original Raw images are 22 megapixels (5760 x 3840), the DNG files are 10.5 megapixels (3960 x 2460). I tried it without lossy compression, and with Lossy compression (making sure preserve pixel count was selected). Either way the image's pixel count is reduced. How do I avoid loosing half the image?

Unfortunately the next tool in my workflow doesn't understand 'solids' only polylines (and a few other basic shapes like circles, lines, etc). Is there some way to convert the object in AutoCAD?
I tried the 'boundary' command but when it asks to 'Pick Points' and I click inside the solid, it always gives the error 'Valid hatch boundary not found'.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to print to Adobe pdf. I know I can use the DWG to PDF which works great, but I don't know if this is a bug or a setting that I have to adjust. At first I thought this was an Adobe Pro X problem, but now I'm 100% sure it's a setting or something in ACAD. When in model space, if I print and print to adobe pdf, the file looks good, sharp. I can zoom in all the way and it looks good. But in paperspace, when I print to Adobe, the quality is awful. like if it printed an image. It looks ok zoomed out but when I zoom in (and not that far in), the quality is terrible, what is it that I'm missing? What setting needs to get adjusted? It looks like an awfully compressed pdf file. Also, when printing in paperspace, it also takes twice as long. Its quick in modelspace and looks great.

I know there used to be one, because I have macros that used START to open a PDF file. However, they were built for AutoCAD LT 2007, and START is not a known command in AutoCAD LT 2010.this icon should launch the CAD manual..
