I am trying to convert a dwg to eps format for use with Adobe Illustrator. I've tried exporting as eps and using conversion software but the output is incomplete and of poor quality with both these options.

Now the contract manufacturer wants a DXF-AAMA format, which is the file format developed by the American Apparel Manufacturers Association in an attempt to solve the difficulties of using DXF files when creating clothing/apparel. How can I do this? I have already created a prototype and printed the fabric/pattern using the AI file (this was done in NY), but the contract manufacturer I am using seems to want this DXF file in the AAMA format.

I've got a beast of a CAD file that needs to be converted to something more easily manageable on a computer when opened. It's a 17mb file. There's not much to it, just circles with a solid hatch fill. I've been trying to open it on my computer as I'm typing this thread. My answer for now would be to remove the hatch and re-save the file.

I am running AutoCAD 2009 and the drawings are "tables" per say.....with a generic block template from an engineering company, along with text and the company logo.
Is there a way to bring this into excel for easy formatting as i am not an experienced or trained AutoCAD person.....

Problem is, the part number attribute on the fixture (fixture is a block) is visible when you pull the DXF in on the other software. Is there a way to turn off attributes without losing them before I convert the file from AutoCAD? I will be pulling the files back and forth between both software programs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to finalize a routine which extracts attributes (created in all CAPS) from a drawing, does a bit of list handling and then will finally write each item of that list to its own line out to a TXT file.
I've had a request from an end-user to change the case of the words in the TXT file from all UPPERCASE to having each Word Capitalized Within Each Item :
e.g. :
the raw list is currently:
"DINING ROOM 1209" "LIBRARY1210" "CORRIDOR A100" "COPY ROOM 1215"
and the current output to TXT file:
DINING ROOM 1209
LIBRARY1210
CORRIDOR A100
COPY ROOM 1215
But I'd like the list to be processed within AutoCAD so that its format is changed to:
"Dining Room 1209" "Library 1210" "Corridor A100" "Copy Room 1215"
because the desired output to the TXT file is:
Dining Room 1209
Library 1210
Corridor A100
Copy Room 1215
Is there any way to convert ALL CAPS to more of a Capitalized format?

I'm creating video clips in Corel Video Studio X4 Ultimate (Education),for use in creating multimedia PDFs with Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
The formats Adobe Acrobat says is accepts include MPEG 4 / H.264,so in Corel Video Studio X4 I've tried selecting the following types of output file:
1) "MPEG4: iPhone H.264 (640 x 480)" My preferred resolution, but Adobe Acrobat won't accept it, apparently because it's "Sony PSP" (according to an analysis by MediaInfo), not supported by Flash, according to an advisor on the Adobe forums.
2) "MPEG4: iPod H.264" (320 x 240) This is accepted by Adobe Acrobat, even though it's also Sony PSP (according to MediaInfo). But this isn't enough resolution for my purposes.
3) "MPEG4: iPhone 4/iPad HD" This is also accepted by Adobe Acrobat, but the resolution is too high (1280x720) as the files are too large.
Is there any way one can convert an imported photo in Jpeg or Bmp or Tiff or any other format into lines in a drawing?

I work on multiple projects across a complex network and I have to manually navigate through all the folders each time, and I can't copy & paste a location like I could if I was browsing through Windows normally. Also you can't save favorite locations?

All are in the Adobe RGB color space. I want to convert these same files to sRGB to use in a slide show. What are the steps to batch process this change? Is it using an action? Should I start with the TIFF folder or use the JPEG folder?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had 9875 photos that I wanted to convert to the latest DNG format and also include lossless compression and embed fast load information.
I marked all photos and selected 'Convert photos to DNG' from the library menu.
Days went by and the convertion worked almost perfectly.
30 photos can not be converted but Lightroom does not tell me why. Some photos are copies of others and the originals has been converted without problems.
My old photos do not have the Lightroom 4 new sliders in the Develop Module.
Lightroom 4 sliders are accessible on newly imported photos but not my old photos in my Lightroom Cataoge. So I have a mixed Lightroom 3 & 4 Catalog.
How can I convert all my catalog to Lightroom 4 format?
