Dec 11, 2013I'm finally incorporating LR to my Bridge / ACR / PS workflow.I have a very detailed keyword tree that I use in Bridge. This tree is organized in a hierarchical manner, and some of the keywords have synonyms or in case of taxonomy, common and latin names separeted by " ;"
I imported the keyword list into LR and also selected the option to import the xmp along with the files. The problem is that LR is now creating a new keyword for every word I have in the list!
I think one of the issues is that ";" is an illegal caracter in LR, but I'm not sure how to fix it without having to rewrite the entire thing. Also, is this the only issue?
Changing the keyword list only will not fix it because I have thousands of images with these keywords already, and it would be impossible to redo them all.
My plan is to fix this and delete everything from the catalog before I import the files again.
Premiere Pro :: AVI Files In Adobe (can't Import)
Feb 7, 2014I've just tried to import a bunch if .avi files into Adobe Premiere (OSX) but they all failed due to missing codec. Is there a way around this? I've looked at some other threads but don't understand it all and i'm on a bit of a deadline.
I've currently installing it on my windows box as i know OSX doesn't play nice with avi anyway, is it likely to work?
The avi files have multiple streams -2 camera angles are recorded, when they are loaded both show and play in sync so i'm worrying about converting to another format.

Feb 3, 2013I'm using Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11. Both program are using one organizer and I would like to import my videos and photos with this tool. But I'm missing two options in this tool. The first is to make sub-folders with the capture-date without spaces between the date (spaces are still problems for some programs). The second option is a second location where the data is copied for backup. Is there a possibility to do this two options with the program or can you make an update in the future that include this two options.

Jul 13, 2013I shoot in RAW, and have always edited my pictures in Camera RAW via Elements 8. I recently upgraded my old Dell to a new Mac, and now I'm having trouble. I cannot seem to open the RAW files in Elements, this is what I get when I try to open a file with Camera Raw (I know it says Photoshop Raw, but I do have Camera Raw selected):
When I try to open a RAW file in Adobe Bridge, it's not even an option, it's grayed out. BUT, it will let me open jpegs in Camera Raw in Adobe Bridge! So confusing. So far I have tried updating the Camera Raw plug in. I followed the directions exactly, but no dice. When I look at the "about plug in" section on PSE, it shows that it is the updated version, 6.2.0.29. But when I look at a jpeg in Camera Raw through Adobe Bridge, it says Camera Raw version 5.0.

Now I shoted some pics with the new Nikon D7100 and I can't use Bridge CS4. I tried to update but Bridge doesn't work. So now I'm obliged to use Elements 11 organizer. Dec 5, 2012I feel sure some of my settings must be incorrect. I have never had trouble until now. PSE 10 keeps pausing, screen dims and error message " not responding " appears. Also, trouble printing anything that is an Adobe document. All of this started happening at once, so I assume they are connected. make sure my drivers, settings, etc... are correct?

Sep 24, 2005Adobe Bridge and reading from three cd's worth of pics. As you can see from the attached screen shot, I'm getting strange posterization. Sometimes the thumbnail is posterized and opens correctly, sometimes the thumbnail is good, but opens up in ACR posterized, sometimes the thumbnail and image open correctly, and sometimes they're both posterized. I've cleared the cache several times. My verson of Bridge is up-to-date.

Mar 11, 2006I am using the Classroom in a Book tutorial and have the following problems. I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
1. When I copy the Lessons to my hard drive they are a read-only file and I cannot apply another attribute.
2. When I try to open the Lessons in Adobe Bridge from the CD but will not open. It gives me a message "No items to display with current document kind filter". I can see the files in the left pane and the folders in the roght pane but nothing will open.
3. I have been able to do a workaround by using Widows Explorer, double click on the lesson and it will open in PS CS2 but it will not open in Bridge.
