Photoshop :: Adobe Installation Files Do Not Launch
Aug 12, 2013
I am trying to install Photoshop CS 3 and Illustrator CS 3 on a OS running Windows XP Service Pack 2. When I use the setup file, windows invariably gives me an error. It's a generic windows error that suggests you to send a report file to Microsoft - I'm running Windows on russian language and therefore not sure of the exact wording.
Both setups have been known to work before. Note that the windows installation is relatively new, so it's therefore possible I'm missing some system files.
I updated my mac yesterday to Maverick and now Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch. what files I need to delete to get it to launch. I tried reinstalling it, and that didn't work.
I'm trying to move our Adobe installation from Mac to PC, but I ran into a path problem. A lot of our publications/documents in Adobe Photoshop have linked to pictures in the filesystem (Windows 2008 R2 server). It goes like this:
DTP:Pictures:September:Picture1.tif
And is linked like this directly from Adobe. On the PC I cannot use that path notation and have to go like this:
F:DTPPicturesSeptemberPicture1.tif
When the publication/document in Photoshop have the Mac link "hardcoded" the PC path will not work. Is there a relatively easy way to get the Photoshop on PC to use the Mac link or does one have to change all the "hardcoded" links in the publications/documents?
I am doing a website for a client whose logo font uses a font that I think is by Adobe called Sacker-H The designer sent a zip file containing about 5 files, one of which is AdobeFnt07.lst The others are .bmap files. I am clueless how to intall these on my system?
Application manager shows an update to 13.0.2; installing gives the aforemention error. This same error has presented itself previously with extensions manager. The workaround was to download directly from adobe and install - which worked for EM. Does not work for photoshop. Checking for updates within Photoshop CS6 extended finds no updates.
Per the update page, this update provides support for retina displays which sadly is not on my current MBPro. It seems the similar errors are migrating to other installers now. It wouldn't be so bad if the past workaround remained.Naturally, this could be a problem not well commented, as the Illustrator update provides a "not applicable" to this machine response.
I am generating a panorama from 24 RAW files (three rows of 8 images each) using Photoshop Auto Align and Auto Blend Layers and need more control over which image it selects from overlaping images. This image is from the Snake River Overlook and one image has a raft in the river and the overlapping image does not. I have run the Auto Align Layers using all five of the options (Perspective, Collage, etc) and all five show the raft in the river. When I run Auto Blend Layers the raft disappears in all but the Auto Align run using the Collage selection. Is there any way to exercise control of this so the raft does not disappear?
I have scoured the forums and I see no discussion that addresses my particular error. For starters I have a Mac, not Windows.
Here's the error from the log:
- 0 fatal error(s), 2 error(s), 0 warning(s) ERROR: The following payload errors were found during install: ERROR: - Adobe Bridge CS5_4.0.5_AdobeBridge4-mul: Install failed
I'm following this Adobe guide on troubleshooting but have no clue how to address this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop 3 times.I am also getting similar errors for pixelbender and Camera Raw:
When I put a jump drive into my USB port Adobe Photo Shop Album Starter Edition 3.2 launches. It won't go away. I can't see what is on my jump drive. I can only see pictures. It's got to be something on my computer because the jump drives I've tried work perfectly on other computers. I tried a blank drive and it did the same thing.
The installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did install. I was installing Adobe Reader X. That's why I discovered the notification from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifying me again to install it. At least not immediately.. So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update module to check for updates manually?
I'm running Windows 7 Professional. After updating to the latest version, the app crashes on startup with the message "adobe illustrator CC has stopped working". I need to be able to continue work on projects, so I need to downgrade to a version of Illustrator that will work.
This is on a completely fresh installation of windows 7 x64.Before installing Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection x64 autoplay for my camera works, after installation it does not work. If I uninstall it, it works again.Where is this program disabling autorun for devices. Autorun for flash drives works fine, its just the non-volume devices that are affected.
I tried using gpedit and reg keys to re-enable autoplay for the camera but it does not work. When I plug my camera in, I can still go to my computer I can get my pics without any issues, its just that this is bugging me.Don't think there is an answer out there, guess I just need to not be so OCD with this stuff.
Recently I have been trying to build table driven products and ipart tables, but when I copy a member to create a new part number, upon exiting the iassembly author I get the following message "excel installation is required for this operation. failed to launch excel". I have a fully functional version of 2010 Excel installed which has been used so it should be recognized in the windows registry. I am running Windows 8 and Autodesk Inventor 2014.
Model Name: MacBook Air Model Identifier: MacBookAir4,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i5 Processor Speed: 1.6 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB

Problem:
Adobe Illustrator was working fine on my MacBook Pro. That is in the shop being fixed, meanwhile I have a loaner computer which is what the specs are above. All my Adobe apps work, except for Illustrator. When I launch it, it loads everything but just as the main menu across the top loads I get an error stating:
Configuration error uninstall and reinstall the product.
Asus motherboard, i7, 930. 24 gig Kingston HyperX ram. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. 5 SATA hard drives: 3 are WD 7200s; Driive C is a Plextor SSD and Drive G (where LR and Photoshop are installed), is an Intel SSD.
I've had LR 3 and 4 and 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. I have several hard drives. All the LR programs are installed on my G drive.
This time when I installed the update to 4.4, it did install on the G drive, but instead of creating a folder in Program Files, all the files, including the executables, simply installed in a long long row under Program Files and under the folders for the previous versions of LR. It did indeed install 4.4, but it's a mess and I can't figure out why there was no folder created.
When going into LR my copyright is gone and all the various styles of copyright I'd created in the Watermarks folder are unavailable. I also have 2 Nik Filters and 2 Topaz filters - they too are unavailable from the upgrade to 4.4. I also had a plugin for Zenfolio which is also missing and I can't find any plugin folder. Where is the plugin folder supposed to be?
It has never been clear to me which folders are supposed to reside on the same disk as the main LR program and which folders can be kept on another drive. Perhaps this is part of why I lost so much information.
I do have backups and I've been able to retrieve a lot - but I would like to be able to have the correct folders in the correct directories and drives. For example, when I updated to the new camera raw and dng, it was installed on my drive C, as it usually is. But the LR 4.4 files installed in a big list, although fortunately on the correct drive. And I have to reset all my settings, all my watermarks, my plugins and my filters.
Why did this happen and what can I do to repair it properly both for the best functioning of LR 4.4 and to not have this repeat itself with the next upgrade.
I downloaded the Photoshop CS3 trial... I finished extracting and I click on Setup. Then a window pops up saying, "Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3". Then the window closes.
Here are my specs:
1gb Ram Intel Core 2 Duo 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 3
After I installed Photoshop CS4 trial, it failed to install Photoshop, but the rest were successful. I went to get more information and this is the message:
Adobe Fonts All Error: Error 1603. Error 1907.Could not register font . Verify that you have sufficient permissions to install fonts, and that the system supports this font.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack Error: Error 2.
My understanding of Auto Recover is that when a working file is saved and closed, the corresponding Auto Recover psb should be trashed automatically.
Every evening I save and close all my work, quit Photoshop and shut down the Mac. Every morning when I start Photoshop, at least one Auto Recovery file opens. It's the last file(s) I was working on the previous evening.
I've toggled Auto Recover on/off, trashed the folder and had CS6 recreate it. Nothing works. Every morning, I am presented with a psb of the previous evening's work.
My scratch disk is a dedicated 100gb SSD. I have triple verified that CS6 is not writing recovery files to a different location.
I always launch LR by double-clicking the catalog files for the images that I want to work in.... I have many catalogs so launching from the one I need is the simplest way. Installed 4.3 today, and now, double-clicking the catalog files does nothing... LR won't launch, nothing happens.
I'm trying to install the EPS font file in Corel Draw X6 and can't seem to get it to work. The Font Navigator can't find the font and the "Install EPS" function in CDX6 just dumps an image of the whole font into whatever I'm working on.
I recently got the blue screen and I had to reinstall the OS (Windows 8). I had AutoCad Map 3D and AutoCad Civil 3D installed before the blue screen. I am trying to reinstall them and I keep getting multiple errors saying I am missing files.
C:AutodeskWIAutoCAD Map 3D 2013x64acadmapProgram FilesRootMaterialLibraryParser.dll
C:AutodeskWIAutoCAD Map 3D 2013x64acadmapProgram FilesRootslidelib.exe

Have just downloaded LR4 to C drive on windows 7 home premium, all photos and folders are there but, folders in library are shown as being in Y drive which was on a computer I have recently replaced, so when I put them into develop it says " missing folder, path does not exist" The images are on external F drive, Also I thought that LR4 would merge with existing LR2 so now I have two LR programs on my C drive, is this how it should be ?
Just installed CS5.1 a couple of weeks ago. Runs no problem in 64 bit. But 32 bit is a different story..In Mac, Get info, and set CS5 to open in 32 bit, CS5 launches an instantly freezes with the spinning beach ball.I can't do anything expect force quit.Mac Pro, 8 core, 10 GB ram, OS 10.5x
I need to be able to run in 32 bit for plug-ins that are not 64 bit.
Every time I launch Paint Shop Pro X5 my recent file list is empty. I thought the program was supposed to remember the last four images that were opened. I then have to select File > Open but now the program defaults to a folder called My Pictures. I store my images in my own folder elsewhere. I would like to set my folder to be the default folder. I have to navigate to my folder ever time I launch the tool. If I go to File > Preferences, I do not see a place where I can change the setting.
I was facing problems with X5 soon after installing it, it actually doesn't installs properly. Somehow i have to End Process of installation and though find X5 in my Start menu of Windows XP SP2. Well the actual problem started when i recently tried to publish PDF for one of my client's brochure of 17 pages, X5 closes all of a sudden and i have to restart the whole process. At times it creates a PDF which then has errors and Acrobat Reader don't read it.At times X5 even gives Error while saving files. Then have to click Save till it actually saves the file.I uninstalled X5 thinking, there could be some corrupted files and re-installed, but all in vain..
CR2 files ,I can't see CR2 files in adobe bridge when I open Adobe Photoshop cs5- help- about plugins- no camera raw plugins. When i go Edit- preference and click on camera raw shows message that Adobe camera raw plugin cannot be found
I created a magazine cover in ps the saved in .pdf format I am wanting to a a few artles I wrote and saved to .pdf and combine the. Like Mage cover, index page , articles about 8 saved.
I want them all in 1 .pdf combined instead of having to dl multiple files.
Since installing Photoshop CC, I cannot associate jpg's or psd's with Photoshop CC. I have used the "open with..." dialog box (something I have done a million times, so I know what I'm doing), but after choosing Photoshop, it does not appear in the list of recommended or other programs and will not open the jpg or psd file in Photoshop.
FYI, I installed Photoshop CC while Photoshop CS6 was still on my computer. I then deinstalled Photoshop CS6 and that is when I noticed the problem.
