View 1 Repliescan "Auto Align Selected Layers Based on Contents" be disabled during photomerge?
=> First, most of times the auto align result is not good
=> it takes time to wait for window to appear, sometimes hangs
=> When all images are jumbled together, it is like making jigsaw puzzle.
Actually I got used to Photoshop CS2 where I disable auto align check box...And I manually create the "mosaic" (not just a flat panorama) from images taken from microscope.
When I put a jump drive into my USB port Adobe Photo Shop Album Starter Edition 3.2 launches. It won't go away. I can't see what is on my jump drive. I can only see pictures. It's got to be something on my computer because the jump drives I've tried work perfectly on other computers. I tried a blank drive and it did the same thing.

"Snap to" doesn't seem to be able to be shut off. When I hold down the control key snap ceases, but with any normal movement, even with both GUIDES and GRID unchecked... the system is still snapping to some setting somewhere, and I can't seem to turn it off.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy understanding of Auto Recover is that when a working file is saved and closed, the corresponding Auto Recover psb should be trashed automatically.
Every evening I save and close all my work, quit Photoshop and shut down the Mac. Every morning when I start Photoshop, at least one Auto Recovery file opens. It's the last file(s) I was working on the previous evening.
I've toggled Auto Recover on/off, trashed the folder and had CS6 recreate it. Nothing works. Every morning, I am presented with a psb of the previous evening's work.
My scratch disk is a dedicated 100gb SSD. I have triple verified that CS6 is not writing recovery files to a different location.
I updated my mac yesterday to Maverick and now Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch. what files I need to delete to get it to launch. I tried reinstalling it, and that didn't work.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a client that installed CS6 Productiom Premium with a volume license on multiple Mac Pros and is saying that Illustrator hangs upon launch, meaning, it will take 1-2 minutes to launch the program. Out of all the computers he has installed the software with, one does not have an issue with start-up and launches almost immediately. He is currently looking on his end what is different on that machine compared to the others.
I have walked him through the steps in deleting his Font cache and resetting his preferences and he still reports a hang-up on launch.
He has Mac Pros with Lion on them.
I am trying to install Photoshop CS 3 and Illustrator CS 3 on a OS running Windows XP Service Pack 2. When I use the setup file, windows invariably gives me an error. It's a generic windows error that suggests you to send a report file to Microsoft - I'm running Windows on russian language and therefore not sure of the exact wording.
Both setups have been known to work before. Note that the windows installation is relatively new, so it's therefore possible I'm missing some system files.
I have read several forums about how to disable the auto-recovery feature. However, I don't want to disable the auto-recovery because I like that it saves my work in case of crash.
It's just annoying that every time I open Photoshop all those previous files auto open. Is there anyway to make it stop? I read that there is a file that you delete, but will that stop the auto-recovery feature?
I've created a simple poly surface mountain range in Blender 3D, with no smoothing applied. Yet when I import it into Photoshop CC it appears to have smoothing enabled, giving me undesirable results.
I've tried multiple formats (obj, 3ds, dae) and get the same results. I've checked to see if Im just exporting incorrectly, but when I open it up in SketchUP or Maya, I get the flat rigid surface that I want, and not the smooth surface.
I select a different layer or group, the Quick Mask channel is automatically selected. This forces me to switch to the Channels tab and select the RGB channel before I can perform work on a layer. Why is Photoshop automatically selecting the Quick Mask layer when switching between layers? I can't seem to find a setting for this and I'm not sure why, all of the sudden, it started doing this. Does anyone know how to stop this madness?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I insert an SD card in my computer (or flash drive), Lightroom automatically launches. How do I turn this off? It is really interfering with my ability to get other work done on the computer since I put my flash drive in 20 times a day. I have Windows 7, and use Lightroom 3.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to compare a selection made with the Auto-Enhance check box on and off with the Quick Selection tool, though I'm not seeing a difference. My understanding is that it gives the selection a smoother, less blocky edge,
1. even though I'm not seeing a difference, is there a reason to just not keep it checked all the time?
2. Can you apply this checkbox after making a selection or only prior to doing one?
For the move tool you can choose to disable auto selection, auto select a group, or auto select a layer. By default though the path selection tool autoselects a layer. How can I disable autoselection?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to disable the auto renaming feature in text layers so that I can change the content without change the name of the text layer. Also i want to do this to all the text in one step, without do it manual one by one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was able to grey out the adobe photoshop updates in help menu. using the preferences file under
"C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAdobeAAMUpdaterInventory1.0
But the adobe bridge which is present with in photoshop, "Help"->"update" option is not greyed out and thows error "unable to update, you do not have internet connection or you are not an system administrator". Same is the case with AAMEE configuration. But if I delete this preference file, then I can launch it. Here my requirement is to grey our the update option both in photoshop and bridge as this will be deployed enterprise wide.

disable or remove Adobe Gamma?
Getagmacbeth recommend that before cal,ing the moniter.
Working in the CC3D features, I am constantly making changes to my bump map. Every time I step-backwards, or make a significant change to the bump texture (smart object?), CC auto-saves the layer. This specific file is a very very large document (3 gigs in the bump texture layer alone), and the 3D layer has lots of lights and is very complex.
This auto-refresh/update really bogs down the time that it would take me to make my changes. I have a very fast machine (I know it's fast, I dont need to list my specs), and I have all shadows disabled.
How do I disable linked smart-object auto-update/refresh?
I am looking at options to disable all functions during the start-up process when I netload “my.dll”. The only way I have found is by using the following
Dim BoolRes As Boolean
If BoolRes = False Then
Dim line As Line
line.ColorIndex = 1
End If
The action of trying to change a lines colour while it’s not open for write works perfectly. As in any of my functions after this process don’t load. Any better way than my above code?
Is there a way to edit the Welcome/Quick Start screen?
I would like to make this:
Look more like this:
except with better artwork. Is this possible? What files do I need to change?
I have gone around and around with Photoshop/Creative Cloud getting my activation working. After more than two weeks that problem is finally solved. BUT during this time I got a popup during the launch of Photoshop CS6 asking if I wanted to 'automatically send information to Adobe for product improvement' or something like that.
If I clicked "No" the top menu bar would appear, but every single option was greyed out. The program just sat there, useless. So, out of desperation (to continue my troubleshooting) I clicked "Yes". The program worked. How can I turn this off?
Whenever I make a stroke with my brush tool, it smooths out. I have checked everywhere to try and find a place where you can "disable" the autosmooth on your brushes, and have found nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to disable auto import.
I uncheck "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected" under Edit - preferences - Import. However, it rechecks itself when I close lightroom down. Then whenever I put in a storage device -- a memory card, external hard drive, flash drive, etc -- Lightroom starts up and wants to import from that device.
How do I prevent this?
I downloaded the adobe cc and nothing!? It does nothing. It says I have it. How do use it.
