It seems there may be a bug in Adobe Elements 11.
"Snap to" doesn't seem to be able to be shut off. When I hold down the control key snap ceases, but with any normal movement, even with both GUIDES and GRID unchecked... the system is still snapping to some setting somewhere, and I can't seem to turn it off.
Snap to grid absolutely will not disable in PSE 9!! I tried previous posters' instructions to make the grid veiwable, then uncheck "snap to grid," and it unchecks, but still snaps!! Amazing. how on earth to actually get it to turn off? Holding down the CNTRL key does at least temporarily disable the feature, but I really hate to have to do that every time.

But the adobe bridge which is present with in photoshop, "Help"->"update" option is not greyed out and thows error "unable to update, you do not have internet connection or you are not an system administrator". Same is the case with AAMEE configuration. But if I delete this preference file, then I can launch it. Here my requirement is to grey our the update option both in photoshop and bridge as this will be deployed enterprise wide.

Is there a LISP code for disabling OSNAP for specific objects or layers? An automatic disable for multileaders would be useful when fine tuning the text placement. Trouble is you need the snap for the leader end. Maybe you could disable the snap for the text grip only.

Is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcut which opens Adobe Bridge from Illustrator? Often when I'm working quickly I accidentally hit this (option command o) instead of (shift command o) to outline type. It halts everything to open Bridge, which I never use. Is there any way to disable this command?

While editing small (16 x 16) images, I noticed that Paint.NET used a grid with a width of 2 pixels. Selection rectangles snap to this grid, as do paste operations.
How can I specify the grid width or disable this snap to grid effect altogether?
Phoshop Elements 10 AutoAnalyzer runs all the time and it needs all the CPUs effect. Is AutoAnalyzer necesssry and if not how can I stop it for running so that I don't need to stop it always than I start the computer?

I know there must be some way to have the small image automatically made larger rather than having to click on the magnifier and "+" and then on the image until it is a size I can work on. This is always true, even when I switch off all the per-pressure options via the Brush tool.

We recently had a draftsman that drew with snap on (he no longer works here), and now all the drawings he worked on have this setting turned on. I thought it would be as simple as opening up the drawings and either hitting F9 or clicking on the toggle to turn off snap. That doesn't seem to be the case. Snap mode seems to be tied to individual sheets, and every viewport. I have multiple sheets in a drawing and each sheet has multiple viewports. The last thing I want to do is open every drawing, click in every viewport on every sheet to turn off snap.
I have snapmode set to 0, but it will only turn it of in whatever sheet or viewport is active. I have to write a lisp routine that will go through every viewport on every sheet to set snapmode to 0?

Objects seem to snap all over not just to the grid. And the grid snap seems to be out of alignment-I cant seem to get objects to snap exactly to the grid.
The same files reopened in X5 are fine. This started with yesterdays install of 6.2. leaving X2 completely unusable.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to save a picture from Elements 10 to an Adobe RGB color space .jpg file. I have set the color management optimiztion to Adobe RGB but it still saves as sRGB. In the Save As window it says it is saving as ICC Adobe RGB but it saves it sRGB anyway! Also, there's no way to know this unless you run another program that detects the color space, such as QImage. I want to save in Adobe RGB.
