I'm trying to install the EPS font file in Corel Draw X6 and can't seem to get it to work. The Font Navigator can't find the font and the "Install EPS" function in CDX6 just dumps an image of the whole font into whatever I'm working on.

I was facing problems with X5 soon after installing it, it actually doesn't installs properly. Somehow i have to End Process of installation and though find X5 in my Start menu of Windows XP SP2. Well the actual problem started when i recently tried to publish PDF for one of my client's brochure of 17 pages, X5 closes all of a sudden and i have to restart the whole process. At times it creates a PDF which then has errors and Acrobat Reader don't read it.At times X5 even gives Error while saving files. Then have to click Save till it actually saves the file.I uninstalled X5 thinking, there could be some corrupted files and re-installed, but all in vain..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently moved a user to a new PC and setup AutoCAD 2011 after resetting the license through the helpdesk. All works well, however when the user opens her drawings created in the old installation, all the fonts are too big and possibly the wrong type. There are other installations in the office which open the same files/drawings and the fonts/tect appears perfect.
So the question is, how do I transfer the settings from an existing installation, or better yet, how do I specifiy the default font for all drawings?
I want to use the font box, but all the font headings are dead - light gray. How can I turn them on and make them black / active?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.
When I try to install Corel X6.1 I downloaded from Corel's site, I can not install because I see no option to continue the installation.
Configuration of my PC: i7, 16GB with Win 7. There are Java and NetFrameWork installed.
I tried installing the X5 and had the same problem.
when i install corel draw its gives me an error that your setup file has an error it gives crc error and ask me to ignore or abort when i ignore its continue extraction butt when its extract then on installation its give errrors. i install trail version i download from different sites like from corel or downloadcnet.com but its give me same error when extraction
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Photoshop CS 3 and Illustrator CS 3 on a OS running Windows XP Service Pack 2. When I use the setup file, windows invariably gives me an error. It's a generic windows error that suggests you to send a report file to Microsoft - I'm running Windows on russian language and therefore not sure of the exact wording.
Both setups have been known to work before. Note that the windows installation is relatively new, so it's therefore possible I'm missing some system files.
I recently got the blue screen and I had to reinstall the OS (Windows 8). I had AutoCad Map 3D and AutoCad Civil 3D installed before the blue screen. I am trying to reinstall them and I keep getting multiple errors saying I am missing files.

Have just downloaded LR4 to C drive on windows 7 home premium, all photos and folders are there but, folders in library are shown as being in Y drive which was on a computer I have recently replaced, so when I put them into develop it says " missing folder, path does not exist" The images are on external F drive, Also I thought that LR4 would merge with existing LR2 so now I have two LR programs on my C drive, is this how it should be ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a full version of the X5 graphics suit and now I would like to install it on my notebook. However, I have only 3 GB hard disk space left, so I wanted to install X5 without the extra content. But I cannont find an option in the installer where I can switch the extra content off. It seems that it always wants to install the 6GB extra content. Required hard disk states >5GB, even when I deselect everything. Hence, I cannot continue the installer.
How can I get a minimal installation of the X5?
At the current time I deploy DLLs by copying all files and a Lisp file that loads the DLL to each machine.
I am trying to find an elegant way of installing DLLs and updating them (Preferably free).
I am curious as to what other programmers are doing in regards to DLL deployment and updates.
Even though the trial installation has been removed, runs through the entire process and then reports that there is an existing installation.... What should I do?

I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.
What are the folders of my current CorelDRAW installation i can back-up and use them to replace the folders of a new installation so to retain all my settings (workspaces, customizations, shortcuts, settings, plugins, etc)

I have added this code to display how the font looks (shown below). But notice i have text font set aside. How do i get my test font to display in the "display box" and/or have my font change as i scroll through the list of fonts. I realize corelx6 kind of does this - but it doesn't allow me to single out fonts.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy vertical font spacing changes on its own from time to time.
Created a template where my font space was 100% and all looked well and positioned correctly. Used the template to create a few thousand files over 6 months. Then opened the template and some of the files I created and found the font was spaced out more than usual. Somehow Corel interpreted my font spacing differently. I checked the font file and it was the same date/time as before.
I changed the template to 92% to bring it down to the required "correct" position and gradually "fixed" all the files i had created to the 92% spacing. After 6 months or so, I opened the template and a few of the files that had been created using the 92% spacing and all were "squished"... oi.. i changed the template back to 100% and began the long haul changing each of the created files to 100%.
Now i just checked and the spacing is too squished and if i change it to 110% vertical, it appears spaced correctly.
I havent changed the version of corel. I havent changed the computer. I havent changed the font (still the original one from the original source file). I reloaded the font using the original source file several times for kicks and it still requires the 110% spacing to be positioned correctly.
I'm only using one one color print and I need to put a '''ballerina" hole in a big fat "D". How do I turn the ballerina into a hole? The letter "D" is pink and I of course can put her on the top layer of the "D" but how can I make her a hole?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from CorelDraw 12 to X5 when I upgraded from XP to Windows 7. I thought I transferred all my fonts to the new system. But often when I open old CorelDraw 12 files, X5 tells me that fonts are missing and it offers substitutes which really screw up the document. The fonts it says are missing tend to be fonts I have never heard of! The latest is Centaur.
If I do a search for 'Centaur', a copy of my old system's AdobeFnt.lst comes up, as well as AdobeSysFnt08.lst and AdobeFnt05.lst (I have parts of my old HD on my E:DATA/ drive). I don't know how to open them or how they got to the old disk. Should these be in some way incorporated into my X5 files? Is Centaur a font that used to be in CorelDraw and no longer is? By the way, I have the boxed version, so it should have all the fonts.
I am running x6 on windows 7 64 bit. Recently Corel has started displaying (font not found) next to some of my fonts. When I open Bitsream Navigator it shows that the fonts are installed and in use. I have also checked and made sure that the fronts are installed on the computer itself.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI work with Corel X6 and Beatstream Navigator on regular basis. During start and save Corel & Beatstream make changes inside Windows system font (In my case Sagoe UI) and compromise it's usage for Adobe Photoshop CS6.
It's crash core menus and banners inside PS6.
Problem go away if you uninstall Bitstream Font Navigator.
Is there any other newer type manager or any other solution to solve this problem?
I put corel draw x3 on a new laptop with window 7 and the bitsteam font navigator will not work. Well actually it worked once, then when I went to add more fonts (find fonts) it just freezes up. I have uninstalled and re installed it and still have same problem. Never had this problem on windows xp.

If I do it right now, font changes in corel at some places and it's distorted.
I have a font I use all the time and have for years (Myriad Pro). When I create a new text object and then select the font from the list the text object disappears and the resize handles goes really small.
While mousing over the font the text appears:
However when I select that font this happens:
The object still appears in the object list not clearly no characters are showing. Nothing shows in Wireframe mode as well.
I've deleted the fonts and installed them again and still occurs. Only on this one font family.
I am running CorelDRAW X6 16.2.0.998
