I have a word file in Hindi Mangal Unicode font and I can't convert it to Corel file which is necessary for print. Is there anyway to do it?
If I do it right now, font changes in corel at some places and it's distorted.
when i converting my arial font to curve it automatically convert to Italic i have replace my arial font from other machine as well but still the same issue.

I know it's possible, but I'm just not sure how, to convert the text in the logo to art so that it won't matter if they have the font or not.
Am making a brochure, use the pre-set A5 print size. All great, but when converting the XCF file to PDF the fonts are not represented correct and are drastically reduced in size.
I tried the flattening option, but that takes a lot of resolution/sharpness out of the file and makes it less fit for printing.
When I was transfering my psd to css and HTML, I used the same font and size, however, they are completely different in size. On PS I used 55, 27, and 22 pt font, when I had used the same size on css, it became a completely different font size.

So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.
I am trying to convert from CDR to EPS because the print shops in my country don't use CorelDraw.
The thing is, what shall I do before converting from CorelDraw? I exported it and saved it as EPS, I tried the same as PDF then opened it with an Adobe Illustrator and saving it to EPS but as you can see in the attachment, they are different, even the pictures that I imported while using CorelDraw, they became blacker!

Now that I'm finished I would like to select everything I did and turn them all into curves at once, but it will only let me select sections at a time...how come? I'm just starting to explore converting images to vector in CorelDRAW and am running into what, I hope, is a rookie problem.
There is white space between the lettering below the main logo image and I'm wondering how to make it transparent like the rest of the background.
When converting text to curves, it seems to move the text a fraction to the left. How to avoid this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working with some vectorial cartoonish drawings, and while it's mostly quite easy, I'm having problems with disconnected lines. At the end of a disconnected line it needs to gradually get thinner and end in a small, rounded off point. It needs to to become thinner much slower than the normal rounded-off point, kind of a sharpenned edge effect.
So far the only method I could manage is making a shape instead of a line, but it's much harder to work whenever I want to change something, since I have to rework node by node. So I was wondering if there was a way to convert a line into a shape, so I can modify it all I want as a line, and then turn it into a shape and add the sharpened end.
How a drawing in CMYK can be converted to RGB ? At present i am selecting each element of the drawing and manually converting it.Tried the Visual Basic 'File Converter' option, but it doesn't work.
I hope there is a better way as i have many images to convert.

When I converting cdr file to PDF with prepress PDF preset will resulted a crashed PDF file. But with 'web' PDF preset may results fine. But the resolution goes high or custom , output is a crashed file.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI do not understand how to convert files so that my CNC program can use them. I am new to cnc machining and most of my files are in vector format and created using Corel Draw X3. I now have X6 but have not tried to convert them from there yet.
I understand that most cnc software programs want to see files in a DFX format. I tried saving to dxf from X3 but they are a mess when I open them in Desk CNC, my cnc software.
Since my files are already vector it would seem as though a cad program like Auto-cad would be able to open the files I save in a dxf format correctly. Something to do with the nodes, they are gaps between them so they are not connected.
I've imported a logo to Corel Draw. The logo has several simple polylines. I'd like to convert them into artistic media in order to simulate calligraphic or hand made looking strokes. I pick the polyline, then I select Artistic Media from Effects menu. Then CD shows me the Default Strokes in a side docker window. I select any stroke.
The polyline changes, but I can't modify the stroke width spinner. Is there another method to convert lines to artistic media without redraw them over.
I work at a small newspaper and use CorelDraw X5 (the rest of the newspapers in our company all use Adobe products).
When we get for example, a logo sent to us (also happens with PDF's that are sent to us as well), many times the black is registration black and I need it to be CMYK.
When we PDF the ad to send it for printing the black is on all 4 plates (CMYK) our printer says, drop CorelDraw spend $2000+ and get in design and CS5 and your troubles will go away. I am hoping there is a solution that lets me continue to use CorelDraw as I love this program and do not want to switch.
This is the second time I've had crashes in X6 64 bit, the first time was importing a very large "XLS" file, and then today while converting a selected group to curves it crashed. I restarted Draw opened the file that I had saved but not converted the part of the drawing I wanted to cut to curves, as soon as I tried to convert to curves it crashed again. Restarted the computer with the same results. I got the job to the cutter so it is not holding me up, but I did want to let the powers that be know about the crash. And I have been converting at least some of each drawing I do to curves with no problems, nothing had changed in the computer so it makes me wonder what's going on. The computer is a i5, 8 gb ram, 2 gb video card, Windows 7 Ult.

I am able to upload the image into CorelDraw X5, but after that I am just guessing along as what to do and ultimately accomplishing nothing more than frustration.
We receive art files here to work on. They've gone to a couple of different sources before we get them, so we really don't know how the file was originally saved. It gets emailed to us so that we can get it ready to send to the plate makers.
After opening the file, I save it as a Corel Draw file, then work on it. The problem starts when converting the Corel file to an AI file. The AI file now shows sections of letters filled in, like the letter o.
We're using Corel X5 and using Windows 7.
I want to make macro for converting Vector RGB to CMYK. So I did New Macro Project > New Module > Start Rec. > Converted some vector RGB to CMYK > Stop Recording .
Then use same macro to other but it didn't work like photoshop action. VBA basic knowledge, So any easy method can some one know which can be use as macro. Or the proper method to do it.
I am having an issue with colours changing on me when I convert files Corel Draw files in to AI files. The colours seem to get darker. I am converting files to AI but this is making it rather difficult.

Just wondering why it made those odd lines coming off of the words and the black bar (I don't know how the heck you guys can post large things, things with motion, etc. I have to make things miniature to put them on here)
I assume it has something to do with how the original, that came from MillerCoors, has those layers of lines in it. I just don't get why lines would then be visible when I changed it since nothing like that has happened before. Oh, and if you are wondering why I converted it, it's because I knew my rip server wouldn't like all that stuff going on in the original
I have a document which contains around 100 RGB bitmaps arranged in a collage. Now this is going to be printed offset, delivered via pdf with cmyk swopv2 color profile.
Most of the rgb to cmyk converted images look best with relative colormetric as they're fairly close to the cmyk gamut and this maintains the saturation and colors I'm looking for. However, some wider-gamut images look much better with perceptual rendering intent.
Is there any quick way to pick my rendering intent when doing individual bitmap mode conversions in draw, so I can hand select which images are converted using relative colormetric and which using perceptual?
i.e. click one bitmap, menu bitmap, mode, cmyk using perceptual,or menu bitmap, mode, cmyk using relative colormetric?
Right now the quickest way I can seem to achieve this is to manually set the whole color management to perceptual, select by eye and convert those images to cmyk that are well outside the cmyk gamut, then set it back to relative colormetric and generate the pdf cmyk which then makes those rgb images not manually converted while it was set to perceptual be converted via the now set relative colorimetric. It works, but I wish I had more interactive control on the mode conversion bitmap by bitmap.
I have just updated to X5 from CD12. Seems to me I heard once there was some way to convert an older custom workspace.
