I'm tracing a picture of a boat using the beizer tool. Now that I'm finished I would like to select everything I did and turn them all into curves at once, but it will only let me select sections at a time...how come? Is there a way to selet them all and turn them into curves or do I have to select one section at a time?

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is the second time I've had crashes in X6 64 bit, the first time was importing a very large "XLS" file, and then today while converting a selected group to curves it crashed. I restarted Draw opened the file that I had saved but not converted the part of the drawing I wanted to cut to curves, as soon as I tried to convert to curves it crashed again. Restarted the computer with the same results. I got the job to the cutter so it is not holding me up, but I did want to let the powers that be know about the crash. And I have been converting at least some of each drawing I do to curves with no problems, nothing had changed in the computer so it makes me wonder what's going on. The computer is a i5, 8 gb ram, 2 gb video card, Windows 7 Ult.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to take a word, and edit each letter individually. This includes changing shape, color, and slanting and twisting a letter. I want the "i" to be one color, and the dot over the "i" to be another color.
In my old drawing program, I converted the text to curves, then ungrouped the set of letters. I can't seem to be able to do this in Corel. Once converted to curves, when I select the text, the option to ungroup is greyed out.
i am posting this only after doing fruitless research online.
Every time I convert an image/psd/tif to greyscale inside photoshop or in ACR my levels sliders and curves are inverted such that whites are on the left and blacks are on the right and everything is upside down (raising the curve on the black side lowers the blacks, lowering curve on white side raises the whites etc). This never happened to me before but happens every time now, I'm not sure what button I've hit to make photoshop do this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to Photoshop, and I was wondering if you can convert text to curves, so I can lose those pixelated edges when I enlarge the text for print. On my JASC photoshop program, I can simply select "Convert text to curves" from a pull-down menu. I remembered that I had Photoshop 5 on my old computer, and I like using it better, but I can't find this option. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I just don't see it anywhere.

I'm not sure if I did it or another person who has been on the program. but now when I am accepting files PDF CDR from other people I am no longer recieving the option to import as text or curves. It is automatically importing them as curves. Which is all fine and dandy for fonts I do not have but it leaves me unable to edit the text as needed without having to redo all the text for the fonts I do have.
Where can I find the option to make that option re-pop up when I am importing stuff?

The files re distill to pdf in acrobat no problem. used corel since windows 286 have finally given up, due to font handling change and plugin issues. on to cs6.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased CorelDraw x5. There used to be means to treat closed curves as not filled. But I can't find the means. I think in x4 I simply checked an item in a dialogue box.
At present if you click inside a closed curve [e.g. a rectangle] the curve is selected. That makes selecting items inside the curve separately. Which is a real pain, since I use a rectangle as a figure frame.
I want to import a .ps file I used to create via latex and gnuplot. I can import the graphics and so on, however I get the question if I should import the text. Then I want to import it as curves. However I get asked again which font I want to use. Afterwards I got a partly mess, becuase Corel Draw X6 only imports a few letters correctly. How can I import all letters and numbers as curves?

On zooming in, the curve looks like this with bitmap below the curve-group

Now it just shows the curved symbol. Would like to get this back.
I want all the angled segments to be converted to curves at one despite of selecting them each one and selecting the convert to curve command. It should avoid the horizontal & vertical lines and any angled ones should convert to curves.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf this is possible to have a transparency brush in doing fades on curves. the brush would enable to lighten spot colors when brushed over the curve or curves. you could make a whole graphic fade out around the edges just by brushing over the edges.
You could have the capabilities to adjust the amount of the fade on a tool bar. maybe this is out there, but it would save a lot of time when doing graphics for t shirts and you want to fade the edges of the image on the shirt. you rip program would define the half tones by the transparency fade.

He said that it is known as 'Craze Curves' or 'Visibility Curves' technique.He further added that all the studios use it before giving the final files to clients so that there is no issue in printing afterwards.It is sort of a quality control check and has been used by digital and advertising agencies all over the world.
But now his email seems to have changed and I can't get in touch with him to know how to use the technique.
I had saved several X6 files to x5 and x4, and found that the text within had converted to curves.

Basically when I use Outline Pathfinder in Adobe Illustrator, then bring back into corel, sometimes get a lot of redundant objects. I already set the settings in Adobe Illustrator to minimize that as much as possible.
