I have CS5 and CS3 on a system with Windows XP. My monitor is calibrated and I use a control print file for visual reference. I am unable to get corrected color on this system. The reference print looks fine in Windows, but way off in PS. I believe all my preferences are set correctly.

I’ve posted one of the pictures here, including a screen shot of the Info pallet while the cursor is over an area of the image. As you can see, there isn’t any info for the yellow or black channels.

My question is – is there any hope for restoring the proper color to these images? I‘ve played around a bit with Curves, Hue & saturation, etc. - but getting natural color has eluded me. [URL]
I use PSE to correct scanned color film negatives. If I know the temperature of the light when the photo was taken can that value be input into PSE to correct to daylight? I'm not referring to any kind of hue adjustment via slider bars, but the actual degrees Kelvin.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got over 160 color corrected RAW files from my photographer when I thought I was getting TIf or PSD files. I need to put them into an in design doc to send out for printing. Is there a way to convert all of these in one fell swoop without messing up the work that has already been done?
I didn't allow in my timing to save each one individually since i didn't know I was going to need to do this. I am really unfamiliar with batch processing, so how to best go about this, or if I even can. I am working in Photoshop CS6. version 13.06 x 64.
The issue comes at random; upon starting PS CS6 (32-bit or 64-bit) it won't be able to open ANY files, of ANY file type (.psd, .jpg, .png, etc.)If by some miracle it DOES open a file, it won't be able to edit it; i.e. upon drawing a line with the brush tool, PS will delete the line when you lift off the mouse.

Things I've tried or tested include making sure the file wasn't read only, making sure it was a valid file, and deleting the preferences.I never have this problem on the school computers (all our school computers are late-model iMacs), but I've had this problem on two seperate Windows 7 64-Bit PCs.

The only way to fix it is to do a complete system reboot; even now though I've done three reboots & it still won't work anymore. My system specs for my desktop are:

When I open the editor , I get an error message " unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. sorry but this error is unrecoverable "
MY photoshop was working fine up until a week ago. Then get gave me this error message. "Unable to continue because of hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable". The error pops up when photoshop is loading "building color convertion tables" or something to that effect. It is not the fonts becuase I have not installed any new fonts, have defraged my hardrive. I have used FontDoctor, and all my fonts are fine. The only thing that i did do is install the new directx june 2006, and the new NVIDIA drivers. I uninstalled my Nvidia drivers but problem still persists, please I am desparate for help, formating my hard drive is not an option. I have reset the prefs both via ctrl, atl and shift, and searching for the psp file and deleting it manually, same problem pops up. I installed Photoshop cs and I recieve the same error message. I can however run and use ImageReady.

Inside autocad 2012 the date formatting is "dd/MM/yyyy"
but inside the .net appication that I am writing, the date.now returns "MM/dd/yyyy" and the compents also reformat to "MM/dd/yyyy" so I end up with lots of "invalid date string" errors

I also noticed that I can't change the color of the line tool so easily , let's say if I want to switch to "fill pixel" before using the line tool ... I can't it says the layer isn't editable... why ?

Fore example. If I lay down a color on a layer with a brush then change the transfer mode to "Multiply" And then brush over the first color. How does Photoshop calculate the resulting color?
I have been trying to import LAS files via Civil 3D 2011.
To do this I first turn the workspace to ''Tool based geospatial''. Then i assign a global coordinate system which is the same one as the LAS file i am importing. The in the task pane window (command: mapwspace) under display manager tab i right click on map base --> data --> add point cloud data --> create new index and then choose the file I want to import. Here i have some trouble; in the create new index window i am unable to assign a coordinate system, i can find the one i need but i cant select it (or any other), it persists on staying unselected. I am able to create an index without a coordinate system but I need it with the right coordinates.Â

I have a star that I would like in a specific color, but am having issues changing it with the replace color and/or color replacement tool. The image is small, but I am trying to have all the pixels. The color I want to use is Pantone solid uncoated 655 U. This is the image I am trying to change.

so I accpeted, shut down Photoshop, installed updates and then when I re-boot my machine and opened up Photoshop again, I got this error message. "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable"

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was just looking through some images and I realized that somehow I have managed to apply lens corrections to exported jpeg and tiff files. These are images that I exported from raw to tiff to jpg through Photoshop and what I think happened was that I didn't notice that Lens Corrections were being applied when I reimported the tiff back into Lightroom. Of course, the lens correction was applied when I developed the raw and made the tiff in Photoshop (or JPEG when I exported thru Lightroom), so a second correction just distorts the image.

I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:

I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
I am trying to make business cards in Adobe Illustrator using the Pantone Color System. In my logo, the middle circle is a dark grey: C20 Y20 M20 K80. I can't find a suitable Pantone grey that is this dark. Pantone 425U is too light. Also, which Pantone Black is the darkest?

It happens when I also use the lasso tool, patch tool, zoom, etc. I've included a video, with a random image. P.S The effect happens with any picture in RBG, but goes away when I switch to CMYK. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS2 and have the following issue. I've scanned some line art (white paper, black ink) into the computer and opened it up in PS. Some of the larger areas of black were spotty, so I went over them using PS black.
Many layers above the background, I'm unable to mark anything over the initial line art. I'd like to add dots of white (stars in space) and I want to have a narrow border of green, with black on both sides. I am working in the top layer, and none are locked.
