Photoshop Elements :: Make People Recognition Program Accept Corrected Names?
Nov 22, 2013
I have forgotten how to get PE to use the correct version of names in People Recognition.I hit a few wrong (lower-case) keys iand those first spelling versions continue to auto-fill even when versions that start with capital letters are entered.
I have group photographs and all the people named with People Recogintion on Elements 11. I would like the option to print WITH the names so I can send it to people. Can I do this?
Ant attempt to capture the picture, say using Snipping Tool, fails as the names just dissapear.
When I run People Recognition (PSE 10), the dialog box opens and after some delay (appears to be processing) simply closes without error or results. I forced a repair to my Catalog which happens to be very large (66K files).
I've been having trouble getting the People recognition tool to work on Elements 12.
It picked up a load of different faces at first, but I still have thousands of photos left which the program now refuses to pick up faces from - whenever I select photos (even in small batches) it comes up with a message saying "No new people found in your selection". However, when I click on the individual photos it still has the windows round the faces asking me who they are.
Need to get the facial recognition tool working again. I'd rather not have to go through each photo individually when batch tagging is so much quicker.
I downloaded elements 11 as an upgrade from elements 8. The download went fine but now I am frozen on "Restoring People Recoginition". My old version of Elements 8 is still activated.
I have downloaded the full version of Elements 11. When i open the Organiser a window pops up "Restoring people recognition data". This will not cancel before the screen freezes. I still have Elements 8 installed. If I delete E8 will this solve the problem and will my pictures still be saved?
Have installed new Elements 9 and Premiere 9. All works well, except can't get into organizer without hanging up on this message, 'Restoring People Recognition Data'. It shows 2% progress and just hangs there.
I just loaded Elements 11 onto my windows 11 laptop and imported about 15,000 photos. I was really looking forward to using the face recognition for tagging the photos but it does not seem to work. When I click "Mark Face" it always says people analysis is yet to be run and when I click yes to run it, nothing happens. Same thing when I click "Add People+", it just flashing something quickly on the screen and then nothing happens. I have "People Recognition" checked in the view screen and "Analyze Photos for people" checked in my preferences.
I have photoshop elements 11. People analyzer will not recognize people or allow me to tag people in my photos. It works with my older camera photos such as from my Nikon D300 but will not work with photos from my D800 (RAW).
I imported a bunch of images (I had to re-create my catalog due to file system restructuring), the tags came in nicely, but a bunch are "People". How do I move those from "Keywords" to "People Tags"?
I recently upgraded from PSE 10 to PSE 11. I already used tags to identify People by name. However, in the new People View not all of my people tags are present as People Stacks despite running the face recognition function. If I use the Add People function it just runs the face recognition feature that I have already run and named the specific person I want to see in the stacks.Strange thing is when I click the Add Group button I can see the missing people but do not know how to get them shown in the People Stacks?
I have about 11,000 pix in PSE 11 and growing, all of a large family. Using 'Add People" in organizer worked well up till I reached 9,000 pix. I get the msg that all faces have been tagged. I've been scanning about 300 pix from our old albums and always try to add people after each group. I am not even getting the "Is this a person" message. I can go to each batch and manually answer "Who is this? Database size problem??
I have just upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 11 and have imported some pictures that I have tagged in another program. Importing tags for everything other than people works fine (already used tags are recognized and reused). But importing tags for people proved to be a problem. They did not merge automatically with my previous people tags in PSE. My imported people tags ar now placed under "Imported Keyword Tags" in the "Media" workspace. How do I merge or move them to the "People" work space where the people tags for PSE 11 is placed?
I also wonder why people and other tags are put in different places. Is it possible to view all keyword tags in one list/place?
I use PSE to correct scanned color film negatives. If I know the temperature of the light when the photo was taken can that value be input into PSE to correct to daylight? I'm not referring to any kind of hue adjustment via slider bars, but the actual degrees Kelvin.
I just installed PSE12 and want it to be the default program to open my jpg files. I know how to set defaults on a PC but the program does not even come up on the list of defaults. I've tried right-click on image and "open with" but no PSE12. If I use Browse and follow the path Program Files (x86)/Adobe/PSE12/PSE Editor.exe, there is no exe file, only the application. If I select PSE Editor, it does not make it the default.
My configuration:PSE 11 Windows 7 64 bit Everything up to date I imported my existing data’s in the standard catalogue
Face Detection "manually" performed.
On the first day (program start) no success with it.
The following day (new trial) this function was of (even very) good use.
To improve the duration and clarity I only scanned a single folder (no album!). Important: while doing that, I noticed that in a tray at the bottom a "circle" has gone around. Later I found out that this is the creation of thumbnails. So for sure this "thumb-nailing" was not completed! But it worked...
Yesterday I started the program at new. No possibility for a face recognition. So I startet completely at new, creating a new catalogue, and importing all data’s at new. Deleting the „old“ catalogue. Overnight then automatically create the miniaturization alone.
This morning, same procedure: a single image selected (with enough easily recognizable faces), and start the face recognition. During a very brief moment, a small pop on the screen is visible, where I can see a progress bar filling up. But no faces suggested to set a name on it.
I have recently began using Windows 7 speech recognition with my Photoshop elements 10 software. It works wonderful. Now that I have all of my "routine" tasks with verbal commands I can focus on what I am drawing rather than spending much time clicking menus and tapping keys :-) I would like to expand my verbal commands to be able to set the options in all of the "option tools menus" and it would be great to pick items from the drop-down menus.
Anyone have a link to a tutorial on how to make people look as if they are frozen over? I would also like to thank everyone on this board for all their help all the time. This may not be the biggest photoshop forum on the net.
I have tried numerous times to turn off the facial recognition in Elements Organsiser 10 but the "who is this" boxes keep coming up. why this will not turn off.
How can I merge duplicate tags from facial recognition in Photoshop Elements 11? For example, if I mistakenly created two tags, both called Bill, how can I put all Bill's pictures in one file? I found an answer for previous editions of Photoshop Elements, but Photoshop Elements 11 has changed the organizer so I can't figure out how to do it. Also, it doesn't seem possible to see two sets of tags at the same time - is this a glitch?
What I was thinking of was in a loop some times I need multiple sets of similar variables but am not sure how many sets I am going to need. I would like to be able to increment the variable names each time the loop runs.
