Photoshop :: CS2 Wont Load. - Unable To Continue Because Of Hardware Or System Error

MY photoshop was working fine up until a week ago. Then get gave me this error message. "Unable to continue because of hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable". The error pops up when photoshop is loading "building color convertion tables" or something to that effect. It is not the fonts becuase I have not installed any new fonts, have defraged my hardrive. I have used FontDoctor, and all my fonts are fine. The only thing that i did do is install the new directx june 2006, and the new NVIDIA drivers. I uninstalled my Nvidia drivers but problem still persists, please I am desparate for help, formating my hard drive is not an option. I have reset the prefs both via ctrl, atl and shift, and searching for the psp file and deleting it manually, same problem pops up. I installed Photoshop cs and I recieve the same error message. I can however run and use ImageReady.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
I have just installed Photoshop CS2 on my new win VISTA HOME machine. There was no problems, I got a notification of a large update from ADOBE,
so I accpeted, shut down Photoshop, installed updates and then when I re-boot my machine and opened up Photoshop again, I got this error message. "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable"
I am using PSE 9 and am running on a XP .  When I open the editor , I get an error message " unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. sorry but this error is unrecoverable "
I try I open PhotoShop I get a message saying "Unable to conitnue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable" then the program shuts down and I have to restart my computer in order to use PS again.
I get the following error message when trying to export a file from LR 4.1 using Windows 7:
 Unable to Export: An internal error has occurred: Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
One of the users in my office is getting the "AutoCAD cannot continue" error in AutoCAD Architecture 2012. I've read a few of the discussions concerning this issue in earlier versions.
I just bought a new Dell Desktop that has Windows 7Â 64 bit operating system. Â My old version of Illustrator 8.0 at Set Up will not load ? Â Is there a work around for 64 bit ?
I kept getting a fatal error when I tried to open the layers manager and I found a discussion board saying I had to do a system restore to fix the problem. Â Well I did a system restore and now autocad won't even load. Â I click on the icon and the hour glass goes but then it disappers and nothing happens. Â I have windows 7 if that makes a difference. Â I have been using 2007 lt for a few months now and everything worked fine.
I have CS5 and CS3 on a system with Windows XP. My monitor is calibrated and I use a control print file for visual reference. I am unable to get corrected color on this system. The reference print looks fine in Windows, but way off in PS. I believe all my preferences are set correctly.
Whenever I try to open CS5 extended 32 (only, 64 bit opens fine) bit I get the above message and CS5 will not open. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail.Â
The issue comes at random; upon starting PS CS6 (32-bit or 64-bit) it won't be able to open ANY files, of ANY file type (.psd, .jpg, .png, etc.)If by some miracle it DOES open a file, it won't be able to edit it; i.e. upon drawing a line with the brush tool, PS will delete the line when you lift off the mouse.  Things I've tried or tested include making sure the file wasn't read only, making sure it was a valid file, and deleting the preferences.I never have this problem on the school computers (all our school computers are late-model iMacs), but I've had this problem on two seperate Windows 7 64-Bit PCs.  The only way to fix it is to do a complete system reboot; even now though I've done three reboots & it still won't work anymore. My system specs for my desktop are:  Intel Core i7 960      (3.2GHz, 8MB Cache) nVidia GeForce GTX 680 12GB Triple Channel      1333MHz DDR3 Windows 7 64-Bit Basic
I get this message when I start PS. " There is no disk in the drive. insert a disk into the drivedriveharddiskdr2"...When I accept this message PS continues to load as normal, However  If I try to save a file using "Save for Web and Devices" I get the same message as above but when I accept this message I get another message "The operation could not be completed. The System cannot find the path specified."All other functions of PS appear to work normally.  I have a Quad 4 processor with 8gb Ram with Windows 7
Whenever i try to start Adobe Photoshop Album 2,0 i recieve this error and the program shuts down instantly. I dont get this error with any other program. Â I run Windows XP Professional.
Have developed a problem trying to load some TIF images into Photoshop. I have a large number of images archived over a decade or more. At this point it may some of the older files that exhibit the problem.
Now all these files were edited and stored using the Photoshop versions during the complete time period. The files are always saved with no compression. Have tried to load from Photoshop and clicking on the file in a file list. Photoshop just hangs and I get the message Program not responding. I can take these same files and load them into the ROXIO photo editor with no problem. Stranger yet is if I simply load the file into the ROXIO editor then "save as" back into the same folder (overwrite) the file can then be brought into Photoshop with no problem!
I am using Photoshop cs5 extended on windows 7, Unable to load camera raw images into photoshop directly or via adobe bridge. I download all the Camera Raw file ready, but still not working..I open my CS 5 Extended and open with the CR2 file, it pop out "Could Not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of camera Raw,   I current using Canon 600D .
When I start-up Photoshop 6 I get the following message: Unable to load Photoshop's interface font. Instead, using a substitute font. We strongly suggest that you reboot the system and launch photoshop again, I did, it doesn't help.
I was not able to load the program due to a limited space on my C drive, the program would not allow mew to change to anoither drive event thought it says select another drive, now it states that the program is in the process of loading even though I've rebooted twice.
I'm trying to create a digital layout in PSCS version 8.0, and when I go to save the psd file (very early stages of the creation...its not very large yet) I get an error that says "Unable to save (file name) because of a disc error". I've never seen this before and am trying not to panic, but I'm on a deadline! LOL And am running behind as usual!
I am using an older mac, and I'm pretty dang maxed out on Gb...gotta clean up some files, but having a hard time finding a free dup file finder for macs...so I'm procrastinating, basically. Could the fact that I've got very little Gb available left have something to do with this?
I use Photoshop CS5 on i Mac 3.06GHz IC2D with Lion 10.7.2. When I start Photoshop a Popup says : Could not load the Bigger Tiles Modules because it does not work with this version of Photoshop. but how to disable this Popup at every start ?
Photoshop CS3 Extended Windows 7 with all updates current Error message on load 'could not initialize Photoshop because of a program error'  I'm running: intel core i5 16 GB RAM 148 GB free on drive C 698 GB free on Drive D 465 GB free on drive E 465 GB free on drive F 2 DVD-R drives  All updates to Photoshop were installed last time I ran it with no problems.No new hardware has been installed since.Installed Classic Shell since last use, so I uninstalled it but the error persists.Installed Diet Tracker but they don't interfere with each on on the system at home so I know there's no problem there.Nothing else installed except Windows updates.I tried restoring back to the last time I used it still got the error, so undid the restore.I tried repairing Photoshop .no change.I uninstalled Photoshop, rebooted, installed Photoshop. it loaded slower then and the last thing I saw load was plugins then something about Python and then the error again.When I try to open the program, it goes so fast that I can't see what's loaded and where it stops now.
when i load actions it said that "Could not load the action because of a program error" and some filters when i used it said "could not complete your request because of a program error? could anyone encouter this conditon?

Â I've trashed Photoshop pref... all of them.I've reinstalled the Mac OS 10.7.5 combo update.I've rebooted to a different drive and repaired disk and permissions (no issues found).I've Safe Booted.I've disabled ALL plug ins. Â Uninstalling and will reinstall/update to see if that works. Inside VS 2010 the datetime components format the date string as "dd/MM/yyyy"
Inside autocad 2012 the date formatting is "dd/MM/yyyy"
but inside the .net appication that I am writing, the date.now returns "MM/dd/yyyy" and the compents also reformat to "MM/dd/yyyy" so I end up with lots of "invalid date string" errors
