I have trashed the prefs, reinstalled it , restarted nothing works. If i log in as another user on the Mac it opens with no problem.

Which file are they referring to "unlock"? And I don't see an option in Windows Explorer that allows you to "unlock" a file.
This problem started after I improperly tried to create a new scratch disk. I can't get back into Photo shop to recreate a proper scratch disk.
I'm trying to import files from my GoPro's, i can watch the video's on Quick Time player, but when i go to import them to either V4 or V5 it comes up with a invaild file error.

I have CS5 and lately I have been getting this error message: "could not initialize photoshop because there is not enough ram." I have a new computer that is running Windows 8 and has 32 Gigabytes of ram. Whatever the problem actually is, it's not because I don't have enough ram! I can fix it for a while by reboting my computer.

i have 2 NTFS partitions on one harddisk
first the primary scratchdisk was "startup"
then i changed primary scratchdisk to d:/ and secondary to c:/
After restart my problem occurd
Reinstalling Photoshop could not solve the problem, it kept the same error message
only after totally reinstalling windows XP prof. i could use the program again
For now i do not set any scratchdisks
My harddisk is ok with no bad sectors
Come across an issue when starting Photoshop CS6 and a windows error prompts with:

I had x1 Illustrator file open at the same time as I launched the Ps app. I had to close the .ai file and re-try opening Photoshop again. There are a lot of little glitches with CS6 that I'm encountering more & more of. I have Photoshop Elements 9 installed on my computer (MacBook Pro running Lion). However, I had not used it for a couple of months because I was using the CS6 beta, which finally expired. When I tried to open PSE9, the splash screen loads fine and finishes loading everything, but when it disappears I get a dialog of "Cannot open Photoshop Elements because of a program error."
This is while running on my main admin account. It opens normally on another admin account which I do not use often, except for some text encoding issues which were not present before.
Just installed Map 3D 2012 and Bluebeam Revu cad version. Restarted m'puter and Message pops up, then CAD closes. Very counter productive.

In the middle of a photoshop session the application spontaneously quit (when changing colour palette). This is a totally legal copy of CS2, recently successfully transferred to a new-ish Mac running Snow Leopard. When I tried to restart P'shop it came up with an error message "Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organisation, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit."Subsequent attempts to launch p'shop came up with a supposedly humorous "Space Monkey" splash screen.

This is happening in both Map 3D 2011 and Civil 3D 2011 directly on startup and I can seem to get a straight answer as to what is causing this, or how to fix it. The automatic response was to download a fix for the language pack, but that didnt work. Standard AutoCAD 2011 works without any issues, same with ecotect.
Ive already uninstalled and re-installed both of the problem programs.
Im running Win 7 Pro 64-bit.
when i run 3dsmax 2012 it tell me "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)"

After not having much luck with the last video card, I changed my video card to a device with the Philips 713x chipset
Now when I select video capture I get the following message:

I have just installed card (SAA7130 TV PCI card) with latest drivers excluding the software so Video Studio 12 pro is the only capture software on the machine . I also re-installed both card and Video Studio after doing a complete system restore and used CC cleaner to remove any residual data before re-installing.
I need to use video capture within the Video Studio software as I need to use the scene detection functionality.The reason I had to change the card in the first place is that video studio only allowed me to capture in AVI 320x240 and gave 'capture failed' errors with anything else.

Neather one of these applications are running while using Video Studio. I checked and nothing else is utilizing this USB WDM 2860 device. I reinstalled the software, installed the patches, and uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled them.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust installed 2014 and have a few issues right away. I checked out the New Features webpage and attempted to change the Viewport Layout using the new Menu dropdown. When I click on any other layout other than the default the whole UI begins to flicker and Max completely locks up and I have to end the process to close it.
Now when I load Max I get an error box that says: "Invalid flyout button ID!" After clicking OK on 6 identical successive Error boxes they are all gone and Max is OK.
I uninstalled my display drivers and installed the latest Max Performance driver 311.50 for my Quadro 4000.
Update: I removed a custom toolbar that I created thinking it might be throwing the error and then relaunched Max. Same error. Then I reinstalled Max using the Repair/Reinstall feature instead of completely uninstalling and reinstalling. When I open Max I still get the "Invalid flyout..." error. FYI, upon my initial install and first opening of Max it opened normally. It was only after I had the switching workspace event that this error stated. The Reinstall feature did not solve it.

I just upgraded to Windows 8 64 bit last night. I had been running Cs2 just fine on Windows 7 64 bit for a few years now.In fact I used it last week. Now after the upgrade is complete, I get this error message when I try to launch CS2:
Could not initialize photoshop because the file is locked. use the properties command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.Of course, there is no mention of which file is locked.
I tried to start Photoshop 5.1 64bit today, and it shows the blue intro screen with the reading and loading, and then it goes to a popup error message that reads, "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is empty." I can run the 32bit version fine, but I would prefer to use the 64bit version. I am running Windows 64bit Ultimate. I have been having issues here and there with CS5.5 on this computer. I ran CS4 fine for the last few years, but since after the upgrade, things have been acting weird. About two weeks ago, InDesign refused to work, so I did a reinstall. Then, two days later, I was having other issues, so I did another reinstall. Before that, Illustrator was having issues, so I had to copy programs files from my office computer to my home computer to make it work. I am starting to wonder if my hard drive is going out. Is there an Adobe fix for just Photoshop? I have the CS5.5 installation DVDs here. I tried copying the Photoshop.exe from my office computer to my home computer and replacing it, but it didn't work either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently started having problems with my PSP Photo XI program on my laptop. The other day it would start up and run normally, but the next day when I went to run the program, it wouldn't start. My computer would freeze up and show this error message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click OK to terminate the applicaion."
I tried turning off my computer and running the program again, but the same thing came up. I tried to run the repair program on it, nothing. I even tried to uninstall PSP XI to no avail as I got a different error message: "Internal Error 2328 C:Program FilesCorelCorel Paint Shop Pro XICoreErrorCodesRC.dll"
I really don't know what to do, short of just completely resetting my laptop back to factory settings and starting fresh. But even then I don't know if that would fix the problem.

Error: Invalid use of Maya object "persp"..it will happen for every camera in the scene until I close and re-open the scene! I do not know what causes it but it seems like whenever I delete a render layer it starts happening and it is driving me positively bonkers!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm working on some art on Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Trial and suddenly out of the blue, whenever I use the Brush Mixer tool, a message appears on screen saying that I can't use it because there isn't enough memory on the RAM. So I tried to enter Preferences on Photoshop to try and increase my memory usage however every time I do that, a message appears on screen saying "An Integer between 96 and 67 is required. Closest value inserted". Sometimes when I click "OK" on this box, it doesn't disappear and I'm forced to close Photoshop via Task Manager. Or sometimes the Preferences box box will open but when I try and click on the "Performances" tab within the Preferences box, the same Integer error message appears again and again and I can't click on the "performance" tab whatsoever.

"Unknown value "AC1027" encountered in drawing version.Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded. Press Enter to continue." (then the file disappears)
MY workflow:I am opening up DXF files created by me with RASPLOT 2.5 and RASPLOT 3.0 (an Army Corp of Engineers Hyrdraulic model extraction program) I bring the DXFs into AutoCAD for better cleanup of the 2D graph it creates of flood profiles.
OBSERVATIONS:Others in my office have opened the same engineering models in RASPLOT and been able to bring DXFs into AutoCAD 2011/2012 in with no problem. It had worked for me in the past, but I can't recall what happened to all of a sudden make it not work, EVER. My co-workers can work with the RASPLOT DXFs in Windows XP and Windows 7.
ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS:-I upgraded my RASPLOT version first from 2.5 to 3.0, then upgraded my AutoCAD2011 to 2012. No change.
-If I create the DXF on my computer, then open it remotely from another computer's AutoCAD, I still get the same error message. (My only solution has been to create my DXF by remotely logging into another computer with RASPLOT then it will open in my computer's AutoCAD.)
- I tried changing the .dxf file path to .dwg but that doesn't work.
