May 13, 2006I try to open it it starts to load but it closes itself after it says "initialising color preferences".

GIMP :: Toolbox Preferences And Dialogs Set To Default When Close / Reopen
Jun 4, 2011In windows > dockable dialogs > tools
I hide some tools and rearrange them to different places within the toolbox.
I also drag some dockable dialogs together under the toolbox.
When I quit the Gimp and reopen it, the toolbox and dialogs are set to default and the tools that I've hidden are back in the toolbox. Gimp is ignoring my preferences.

Mar 25, 2013I'm working on some art on Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Trial and suddenly out of the blue, whenever I use the Brush Mixer tool, a message appears on screen saying that I can't use it because there isn't enough memory on the RAM. So I tried to enter Preferences on Photoshop to try and increase my memory usage however every time I do that, a message appears on screen saying "An Integer between 96 and 67 is required. Closest value inserted". Sometimes when I click "OK" on this box, it doesn't disappear and I'm forced to close Photoshop via Task Manager. Or sometimes the Preferences box box will open but when I try and click on the "Performances" tab within the Preferences box, the same Integer error message appears again and again and I can't click on the "performance" tab whatsoever.

Jun 11, 2013Everytime AutoCAD 2014 shuts down I get a fatal error with the d3b42920h. It doesn't seem to be the drawing that is erroring because it doesn't ask for a recovery file to be saved, but the program it'self.
When SDI is set to 1 everytime you open a new drawing the error occurs.
We do have a company wide network deployment with customised settings for over 40 machines and it only happens on certain machines. I don't want to restore default settings as and re-load our company settings on every machine this happens.
Illustrator :: Color Books Not Saved In Window / Palette Preferences?
Jun 15, 2012I've found this a most irritating issue already since CS1.I use Pantone colors a lot in my designs and always have the Pantone Solid Coated Color book open in Illustrator. However, no matter how often I save workspace, as soon as I close Illustrator and restart the color book has disappeared from my palette settings and locations. I have to re-open the color book every single time.What is the problem with this? How can all the other windows be saved in the workspace settings and preferences, but not the color books?
And why is this issue not yet addressed, when it's been coming up already since CS1? It's not a computer / preferences file issue.CS1, CS3, CS5 and now CS6 were all installed on a brand new (empty save for operating system) computer.

Both have been working perfectly
On one machine only after opening AutoCAD approximately 1 minute later AutoCAD closes down and presents error message box

When I import a Nef uncompressed file into Elements it gives me an error box...Unsupported Color Depth. I must change these pictures to a supported color depth. This takes too much time to change every picture in a folder when you want to make a contact sheet What is this and how do I fix it?

Where is the dialog box generating the instruction to print this background and how do I disable it? Both Elements 3 and 6 used on the same printer, an Epson 2200, would simply print the image.

Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
GIMP :: Indexed Color Conversion Error
Aug 23, 2013I have been having a problem with Gimp. I am currently working on a Gif banner for a webpage. The banner itself is 728x90 pixels. It has 186 different layes as well, some of which are inside of folders. The xcf itself is complete, but the only other stage I need to complete is converting it to Indexed colors so I can export it as a gif; however, whenever i access the Image>Mode tab, the "Indexed" button isn't highlighted, and I am unable to click on it, even with the keyboard commands. I haven't been able to find a solution so far. Here's a picture of the problem.
