but when i open it says something like "can not open, file might be corrupted" the psd is done in CS4 and iam trying to open it in CS6, what can it be?

Jan 30, 2014The company logo is two words. It's in Irish and has a fada on top of one letter.(hence it is harder to find a nice font)
I'm trying to take the logo from the pdf it's in, and apply it to a poster i have designed. I'd like to be able to change the size of the lettering and color etc once it's in the new image.
I've tried the "path tool", and also cropping it and copy/paste to the new image, but the background color that comes with it looks awful!

Jul 31, 2008I have two documents, one with a larger canvas than the other. If I bring a layer from the larger document to the smaller one I end up with artwork that is off the artboard/canvas and invisible. I can see this artwork if I drag the layer around.
Is there a way to remove this content which is unused/unseen? I get the feeling that it is bloating my file sizes...

Sep 19, 2008I'm running a copy of Photoshop CS2. Basically just using it for glorified paint for a board game im putting together for friends. I'd like to define some points which the mouse snaps to, so I can draw circles and lines with their centers or ends at the same place, so I don't have to keep nudging over to the center pixel by pixel. I'll be drawing some angles, so a compass would be helpful too.
maybe Im using the wrong software. If, perhaps, you know of a better tool for what I'm doing,

Feb 25, 2013I am makeing an image for a customer. I am looking to take some text that was made on one art board and move it to another where I am assembling the complete image. However when I drag from one art board to the other the size of the cut and pasted art changes and the look of all its effects change as well.
The two documents have the same deminsions and the same resolution and color profiles.  why this might be happening? Here is an example:this is the original

Jan 25, 2013Just loaded cs5 onto a second computer legally. Any tiff or raw file brought into cs5 appears as a grey and white checker board image. From there its gets even crazier. CS5 works fine on the first computer. both loaded from the same legal disk.

Sep 3, 2013I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.

Oct 2, 2007I just bought a GTCO Calcomp Drawing Board VI. I tried to set up but so far I can only use it like a mouse. I am working with AutoCAD 2007. In Tablet Works Control Panel, I set it to both Mouse and Wintab. The Drawing Board come with a wireless Stylus Pen. I did configure the tablet but I couldn't turn Tablet ON since it requires Calibration digitizer.

Jan 14, 2013I find myself using Black Backgrounds often in illustrator. Bleeding a Black BG makes it impossible to see the art board boarder.

The solution to this has been for me to either place guild lines on these guide lines (silly really) and jarring. specially when you already have guide lines there.

Or to make a new layer, place a box on the board and give it a outline .5 stroke thinkness or so depending on the zoom because white on the black line thats above it screws up visually depending on the distance you zoom out from.

Or has Adobe given us a choose your colour option i don't know about? 50% Grey would be great. can see on white and black.

My question is what the fastest and most efficient approach is for longer videos. The videos are up to an hour each. The scores change every minute. I don't want to be twiddling with keyframes. The idea is probably a graphic design idea. I think PSPPX3 can do it though.
What I want to do is create something like a flyer or poster. So if it was physically I would have some poster board or a large sheet or paper, then I would arrange images and tape or glue them to it. Then scan and print off any copies if I needed them.
In software I think I want to be able to create a background and be able to enlarge it or shrink it down as I need to. Then start applying images and resize or reshape them on this "virtual canvas" or outside of the "virtual canvas" and bring them into the "virtual canvas".
Can this program do it, or do I need something like CorelDraw?

Feb 9, 2012I am deciding to switch over to gimp from pixelmator because of the extra features. However, there is one thing that is making me concerned is some limitations in the filters.
How do I create a checkerboard pattern (using the filter) which has a green color for its primary color and transparency for its secondary color? In pixelmator this is easily done because there are extra color pickers in that filter supports transparency, so no problem. However, this isn't the case in gimp.
