Can't get my calcomp tablet drawing board III to work properly,
I have xp pro - sp2 - tabletworks 7.46driver - autocad2007 and my 16 button puck macros dont work after editing main cui?
We have been running Windows XP-Pro (32 Bit) withAutocad Mechanical 2011 using a Calcomp Drawing Board-III and the TWSER2kXp.exe driver, everything is running fine. We want to switch over to Window-7 running 64 Bit and I want to know if our older driver will work as before and if not what driver do I need to use to define the tablet areas of the menu and be able to use our 16 button pucks.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a GTCO Calcomp Drawing Board VI. I tried to set up but so far I can only use it like a mouse. I am working with AutoCAD 2007. In Tablet Works Control Panel, I set it to both Mouse and Wintab. The Drawing Board come with a wireless Stylus Pen. I did configure the tablet but I couldn't turn Tablet ON since it requires Calibration digitizer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a hatch for board and bat siding. There are parallel lines at 1.5" apart that repeat every 8". When I try to use the hatch I get the following message:

I have Digitizer Tablet and it has worked very well with my XP 32bit computer for many years. I downloaded the new Autocad 2011 Win 30 day trial and installed it. I configured the tablet with the WinTab 3.2 driver, the way that I did in version 2010 and everything seemed to work fine untill I exited Autocad, and now it gaves me an error message every time I exit. But if I configure it back as a standard mouse, it works OK but no tablet support. Have they changed the driver for Autocad 2011 or do they not support tablets anymore? I noticed that there is no longer have a tablet menu drawing in the sample drawings anymore.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe're trying to use vtablet with ACAD 2012LT and a GTCO Rollup III 3648 on Com1, 32-bit Win7 (32-bit driver) and are having a bit of trouble with the configuration.The problem is that ACAD seems to only half-recognize it.
When we try to change the pointing device to "wintab compatible digitizer", the change won't "stick" - but I don't see an error message in the status line. The "apply" button simply continues to stay grayed out and clicking on "ok" doesn't make ACAD save the change. Thus since the pointing device remains a mouse, when we try to turn the tablet on, we get an error message that says "your pointing device cannot be used as a tablet".
However, we can move the tablet's stylus and it moves the cursor. We can also draw a line in ACAD but can't calibrate (since calibrate never becomes an option since we can't turn the tablet on inside ACAD).
Yes, UAC is off. Yes the digitizer does seem to be sending regular packets. Yes the digitizer shows up in device manager as a MS Serial Ballpoint (the mouse uses USB). They both move the cursor seemingly without conflict (there is no jerkiness).
PS CS4 will not run when I have my Calcomp Drawing Board lll running. It will start to install but not complete making menus etc.

Is it possible to obtain a drawing tablet which can be taken out, away from the computer and be used like a sketch-book when out and about? Then, after coming home with this drawing tablet, connect it into the computer and upload all the sketches you've done when out?
I presently use a Wacom Bamboo which connects into my laptop, but I sometimes would like to just take the 'Bamboo' out - draw on it like an electronic sketchbook - come home and put all my sketches into the computer for further work.
Eventually after I copy and paste with the clipboard enough times within one drawing, the ability goes away and I can no longer copy and past one item from one drawing to a separate drawing. I need to use the clipboard function because that is the only way of getting an item from one drawing to another.
I have download a clear clipboard function but it doesn't work. Closing CAD and restarting does not reinstate the function.
My Autocad has started a new behavior. When (in Win7) I double-click on a drawing file in Windows Explorer, Autocad opens the drawing file and also starts a new drawing, all in the same session of Autocad. Is there some system variable or Windows variable that controls this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two documents, one with a larger canvas than the other. If I bring a layer from the larger document to the smaller one I end up with artwork that is off the artboard/canvas and invisible. I can see this artwork if I drag the layer around.
Is there a way to remove this content which is unused/unseen? I get the feeling that it is bloating my file sizes...
I'm running a copy of Photoshop CS2. Basically just using it for glorified paint for a board game im putting together for friends. I'd like to define some points which the mouse snaps to, so I can draw circles and lines with their centers or ends at the same place, so I don't have to keep nudging over to the center pixel by pixel. I'll be drawing some angles, so a compass would be helpful too.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSometimes, when I have two or more drawings open in the same instance of AutoCAD, another tab opens up on the Windows Taskbar. Here's the scenerio; I have two drawings open. On the task bar, Autocad's icon shows two drawings open. Somewhere while drawing, AutoCAD will start bogging down, especially when switching drawings. On the Window's Taskbar, it will now show three drawings open. Two of which will be the same drawing. There will only be two drawings open. The drawing which is currently on top for editing will be the one that shows up twice. If I change to the other drawing, it takes a really long time to swap. Sometimes, it will sit there for a minute and then swap back to the other first drawing on it's own. I try going back to the second drawing again, and the same thing happens again. The only way to stop this from happening is to completely shut down AutoCAD and restart it. I think it has something to do with the ribbon. And I also notice it more often after doing a CopyBase, but not always.

However when I drag from one art board to the other the size of the cut and pasted art changes and the look of all its effects change as well.

When I try and move my image out of the little grey and white checker board area I can't see the image and can't see my "flipped" portion of it.
How to I get the flipped image to show without that stupid freaking grey and white cheacker board showing up!!!!!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI find myself using Black Backgrounds often in illustrator. Bleeding a Black BG makes it impossible to see the art board boarder.
The solution to this has been for me to either place guild lines on these guide lines (silly really) and jarring. specially when you already have guide lines there.
Or to make a new layer, place a box on the board and give it a outline .5 stroke thinkness or so depending on the zoom because white on the black line thats above it screws up visually depending on the distance you zoom out from.
Or has Adobe given us a choose your colour option i don't know about? 50% Grey would be great. can see on white and black.
