View 1 RepliesI am trying to model foam insulation around a circuit board, that is set in a fixture, in an assembly. Is there any tool that will allow me to do this? I am trying to avoid modeling a seperate part with complicated geometry.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to Paint.net, I use it all the time, but I'm trying to expand my knowledge on the program. After looking through many topics, I couldn't find one on making cool borders. I'm trying to make a beveled border within a certain size, but the option I currently have on paint doesn't really do it for me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing PSPPX3 Ultimate.
The idea is probably a graphic design idea. I think PSPPX3 can do it though.
What I want to do is create something like a flyer or poster. So if it was physically I would have some poster board or a large sheet or paper, then I would arrange images and tape or glue them to it. Then scan and print off any copies if I needed them.
In software I think I want to be able to create a background and be able to enlarge it or shrink it down as I need to. Then start applying images and resize or reshape them on this "virtual canvas" or outside of the "virtual canvas" and bring them into the "virtual canvas".
Can this program do it, or do I need something like CorelDraw?
we see in that abstract wallpapers...i mean...i tryed using the airbush and it doesnt make the line as it appears in most wallpapers...

They seem to of been tilted in a way that the front end of the screenshot seems closer to the screen then the other end.
They also have a rather nice glow around the edges of it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a new computer (Windows 7) and I don't like the default "Paint" program that comes with it. I've been using the Windows XP paint program for a long time and Paint.Net was the closest thing I could find to it.
I don't use Paint to edit photos or create super detailed artwork. I use it to draw little things (the image size is usually 50x50 or 100x100 pixels) and zooming in to 400%-800%. I've used paint.net a few times but I was wondering if there was a place in the program that would let me set preferences. It would just save a little time making it more convenient and less frustrating.
These are the things that I would like to change:
1: When moving a selected item it automatically leaves a "checker board" pattern on the image. It's relatively easy to fix with the "Paint Bucket" tool. Though if there was an option to make it only leave the default area white it would be a time saver.
2: When moving a selected item it will automatically replace the image beneath where you place it. In the Windows XP program there was an option to either replace an image or to replace all other colors except white (255green+255red+255green on the custom color spectrum). Is there an option like that in this program?
3: After moving a selected image (using the "rectangle select" tool then the "move selected pixels" tool) is it possible to simply de-select the selected image without having to click on the "rectangle select" tool and right clicking? In other words, being able to move an image, deselect the image, then automatically return the tool to "line" tool?
4: While using the "Line/Curve" tool the 4 click and drag points automatically appear on it to make it "curve-able" so is there a way to just leave it as a solid line without those 4 selectable points appearing?
5: Is there a way that I can make "Line Tool" my default cursor instead of pencil?
What I want to do, is take the path tool, make a pattern around a picture (which is rectangle) placing it on a picture of a board like this...and then pull the picture horizontally, and vertically, to make it circular, to fit the perimeter of the board. If I understand it correctly, when you use the path tool...it allows you to make an image round (from rectangular) is that true?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor those who are familiar with the Ultra-Pipe Program, when I open a drawing from Ultra-Pipethe title layer is updated by the kbupdate.lsp file and the drawing decription (title Layer) is updated with the Circuit ID and TML range. Referencing the attached pdf, you can see that this would be misleading in some cases. I need the description in the title block to be updated with the drawing name instead.
We have changed the default layer colors before in the kbupdate.lsp so I know it's not impossible. I am 99% sure that the changes needed for the problem above would be in the same file.
I've been using this as my desktop background for a few months now but I just noticed that I have no clue how I would acheive this effect. The effect I'm talking about is the red burst in the center. I know how the lettering and the symbol in the center was done but I'm not sure how to do that burst that looks so cool.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have two documents, one with a larger canvas than the other. If I bring a layer from the larger document to the smaller one I end up with artwork that is off the artboard/canvas and invisible. I can see this artwork if I drag the layer around.
Is there a way to remove this content which is unused/unseen? I get the feeling that it is bloating my file sizes...
I'm running a copy of Photoshop CS2. Basically just using it for glorified paint for a board game im putting together for friends. I'd like to define some points which the mouse snaps to, so I can draw circles and lines with their centers or ends at the same place, so I don't have to keep nudging over to the center pixel by pixel. I'll be drawing some angles, so a compass would be helpful too.
maybe Im using the wrong software. If, perhaps, you know of a better tool for what I'm doing,
I just bought a GTCO Calcomp Drawing Board VI. I tried to set up but so far I can only use it like a mouse. I am working with AutoCAD 2007. In Tablet Works Control Panel, I set it to both Mouse and Wintab. The Drawing Board come with a wireless Stylus Pen. I did configure the tablet but I couldn't turn Tablet ON since it requires Calibration digitizer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out a way to "knock-out" text from an opaque layer to reveal the background image beneath it. Essentially (I'm guessing), it would have the background image, then an opaque layer, then text.
I need to figure out some way (using masking?) to have the text be on the opaque layer and then knock it out like a die-cut so that it creates a hole in the opaque layer (where the text was) and ends up revealing the background layer beneath.
how to create a layout for a site,
how can i get graphics on it that makes it very cool,
I made this cool splash effect,
I used the paint brush on white back grount and made two big blobs of mixxed up squiggles on each side of the page. Then I went filter > blur > radial blur 100% x 2.
That makes the ripples, but I can't remember how to make the splash in the middle!!!
After the steps I cant remember I did render > sketch > chrome
to make those cool 3d lines that i see? for example, the one to the left of the teamphotoshop homepage?
i don't even know where to start....
I saw this logo while browsing the web today, and have been attempting something similar,
I don't know how to create the slanted stripes that are on the letters.
I can see that the letters have been cut out of some kind of background that has lines diverging from a centre point, but how could I re-create this?
how they made the attached image. I like the way the two shades of green curve down from the top right corners like that. I have created a rounded curve and have messed with the gradient but unfortunatly have had no luck.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made this sig, but I can't remember how I made the grid, if someone could help me out that would be sweet thanks!
So I went render clouds, then a filter or two but I can't seem to make this grid effect again...
The blue stuff is on overlay so ignore it I just wanna know how to make the grid that fades in and out where the clouds are.
The closer I got to the same look was to create a brush with the size of 1 pixel and 500% spacing, but it's still a bit slow to get even a small area looking like it's been sprayed. Plus, in the end my pattern looks too regular, not very natural. Here is part of the image whose look I'm trying to recreate (400% and 100%).

It's a small image but you can see that it's a picture that's been blended with a cool blue effect. I would like to do this, but am not sure how to get there.
For a project I need to recreate the "swirly bits" picture below. The bits I am talking about are on the left image over that human figurine object.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI came across this BLACK EYED PEAS poster a while back and thought the kind of half tone fade in the background was really cool and well done but for the life of me I can't figure it out? I'm pretty sure its not a gradient mask cuz the dots actually get smaller towards the bottom....I'm know its not that hard....right?
