When i extrude a polygon into a 3D solid, it extrudes fine but it also keeps the original polygon which means i have to delete it?
RE: Photoshop CS3
I am learning to use Photoshop and doing well(ish) I thought, but am totally frustrated with this probably very simple process that I cannot get.
I have one word that I need to give the effect of a neon glow.
So far I have:
1. Filter
2. Artistic
3. Neon Glow
4. Now, when the Neon Glow (100%) window comes up, I cannot get anything to change or do a thing?
Please give me some direction from here.
My word is there, should it be selected? If so whith which tool? etc.
how to do the quickest and most effective neon glow?
Similar to the O2 stuff?
I can't seem to get a neon yellow color, the best I get is a deep gold, how might i enhance it or change it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major project to do. I'm doing a brochure for a client who is unable to provide high res stock photos (the manufacture refuses to give them out) of nean body kits for cars. My task is to create/emulate the look and feel of a TRUE neon body kit glow from below a car.
I've done one before for the web, but it did not turn out as great as I wanted. Before I dive in again I'd love some feedback on what everyone here thinks would be the best approach for this. What filters, techniques, reflections,
how to make neon signs/text using photoshop?
View 10 Replies View Relatedif I apply the Neon Glow filter to a picture with a background, for example: red text on a black background, I get a really neat looking glowing effect around the edge of each letter. But when I try it on the same text on a transparent background, it doesn't work. Is there any way to get the letters to have a slight glow on transparent? My goal was to create glowing text labels to be transparent .gifs for the menu on my website.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently received Photoshop CS. I have an image. White background with a black logo in jpeg format.
I would like to have the blue glass neon glow totally replace my existing black logo and to have the background black instead of white.
I came across a great effect in the new Picasa version called Neon. It´s just a color pick and a slider for transparency. how I can do that the same way in Paint.NET ?..

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a neon sign for my RP site. I have the line art I want to use, I inverted it so its white on black, and after I use the Gaussian Blur I go to color curve. There is no Alpha selection and when I simply try to open the Alpha to Logo no options are available.
I attached the original image.
I have gone thru the spectrum and even used the eye dropper on images, but I can't get the colors to show up as obnoxious and nuclear as they look in images.

So I want to draw a path (selection) and distort the image along it.
I am struggling in using the Polygon Tool to create a Hexagon, for some reason the only type of polygon that is preset is the star which I can create with as many sides that I want. But I don't want to do a star, I want to create a 5 sided polygone, or even 6 sided polygon, I basically want to create a hexagon!
But initially I managed to get a hexagon, for some reason I can't get it to do it anymore!
Can someone tell me where I can set which type of polygon i want to create?
I am using photoshop CS.
When I am in an image, selecting an area with the polygon lasso tool, every time I click a point, the image blanks out and does not redraw. I am left with my pologon selection lines and a white image where the photo should be. The only way to get the image back is to force it to scroll. I have to extend the tool off one side of the image or another to make it scroll. Otherwise the screen does not redraw. I am forced to work with my images in a window instead of fullscreen to ensure that I have part of the image to scroll to when the image blanks out. It is doing this with every click of the polygon lasso tool. Needless to say, this is maddening! Has anyone seen this behavior before? I am running Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP and the program is up to date. I have two gigs of ram and have moved up the memory allocated to Photoshop from half to two thirds. I have stopped having other programs opened. I also tried turning off the preference for the 3D graphics acceleration. So far nothing has worked to fix the problem. I have about 1100 product photos to clip out -
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I use the Poloygon Lasso Tool, both my CPUs are pegged at 100%. When I switch tools, it goes back down to the normal 1-5% on each CPU.
This makes the selection all slow and jerky, thus making it impossible to work with this tool.
Anyone know what the issue is?
(image edited is 800x600 RGB/8 with PS CS3e on Vista 32, 4GB RAM, 2TB free, 3840x1200)
I do not understand why whenever I go to select the rectangle/polygon(or other similar tools) sometimes-in the options bar-the path functions(subtract from area, add to shape area etc) are NOT available.
Â
The one who is always available is the "create new shape layer".
Here’s the problem: Polygon Lasso decides to close the selection FOR NO REASON AT RANDOM.
Â
Let me clarify that I am an advanced Photoshop user (certified expert by Adobe). I know all Photoshop tools inside and out and this is DEFINITELY not user error. Photoshop CC is glitching and it needs to be fixed. Thing is, this only started for me very recently; within the last few weeks. (Kinda close to when I updated to Mavericks on my mac but I’m not sure that has anything to do with it) Â
Â
To re-iterate, this is NOT a double-clicking issue or anything done wrong by me. Making lots of small lassos joined by the shift key is also NOT a solution. Switching to the pen tool is also NOT a solution because my workflow depends on the speed of the lasso tool.
So Im trying to make a star wars racer. Im currently making the shell of the engine and for some reason a single polygon deletes outside of a selection. Its weird because I shift click the polygons i wanna delete to delete all of them in a line so i dont have to delete 1 by 1 and for some reason that 1 polygon outside of that strip deletes too.
Im new to 3ds so how to add that polygon back? It was too far back for me to simply undo this so I need a way of attaching a new polygon onto that object.
Heres a screenshot, its that red bit missing.
