View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Mac Book Pro / 10.8.2 and Illustrator CS6, what I noticed is when I export my files to PDF, the thumbnails only show in B&W colors and this only happens when I am using Pantone colors. If I use colors randomly from swatch or just type Pantone in CMYK, it still shows color but that bugs me still. I did a test on my old Imac which is 10.7.3 and using CS5.5 but didn't have same issue. I am wonder if this happen to everyone or just certain CS version or so.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem and I am not sure what's the cause but I think that it is related to gamut. I recently noticed that some colors started to show as black instead of their original color. for example if I open a new document and set it's background to #00ce57 I see it in black instead of neon green.
when changing the color mode to 32 bit I see the correct color and also when I am turning on gamut warning all the black color turns into gray.
heres an example:
this is how the image should look.
and this is how the image looks in Photoshop:
I have a green (many shades) postage stamp with a black cancellation. I would like to eliminate the stamp colors and just show the black cancellation. Can I do this with CS2 and if so, how.

I have an AutoCAD dwg file that I would like to import into a Revit generic annotation .rfa file. It's a logo file that we're trying to use for a titleblock. It was originally made into a dwg from an EPS file. I would redraw in Revit but when I try it I get the 'line is too short' error. So it goes.
My problem is this- when I set a RGB value in the AutoCAD file, then import it into Revit with the option to preserve colors, it doesn't show the same color I assigned. I know there are some issues with converting ACAD colors to Revit colors.
I can not get colors for either program. They show all hotpink and will not respond to change.
Neither one works Elements2 was okay until I installed 8 then the color palettes locked to HOTPINK.
When i use lightroom on 2 monitors i look mostly at the loupe view on the second monitor to judge or cull my pictures. I can see the resultant stars, colors and reject flags on the grid view on the primary monitor. but i cant see the ratings on the loupe view. I sometimes get confused as to whether i actually rated or color coded a particular photo in a similar series, but i have to look back at the primary monitor to make sure. Am I missing something? Is there some way to have a large view of the picture but include rating info on the same screen?

If I have say 8 elevation ranges in my analysis tab, I see it starts with red and goes to green. If I increase the range, I get into the blues. How can I expand the colors so If I only have 6 or 8 ranges that I see more colors and less shades of red. (by the way, I have selected rainbow color scheme)
I am trying to export a file for my printer and my CMYK colors are not looking right on the exported file, they are very dull and the colors are not the same at all.
I have changed my DRAW files to be ONLY CMYK colors and have experimented with the Color Management tool to no use at all and reset the workspace.
For example: the blues that my client chose are C56 M0 Y6 K0 and C30 M0 Y60 K0 - they look great onscreen, but once I export to a jpg/eps/tif/etc the colors dull down and don't match at all!
RE: Photoshop CS3
I am learning to use Photoshop and doing well(ish) I thought, but am totally frustrated with this probably very simple process that I cannot get.

So far I have:

Please give me some direction from here.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI originally created a label in CS3, and just had to make a new one a different size. When I did the new art in CS6, the PMS colors are way different! I basically copied and pasted the old art into the new file. I have replaced all PMS colors, but they still do not match the old version. The original version (in CS3) is on the left and the new art in CS6 is on the right.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was mid-project when I realized my greys had mysteriously become tinted blue. I then continued messing with every color setting I could find, but nothing worked. View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having a huge problem with colors in color managed web browsers such as Safari. I'm pretty sure unchecking Convert to sRGB would cure the problem but it's permanently enabled.
For insance with "Color Settings" set to Monitor color with RGB set to Off. And I follow these steps.
-Create a new document with a small size and profile set to "Web"
-Fill the art area with a rectangle with hash color of say #3693C6 and no stroke
-Ensure Assign profile is set to Don't color manage...
-Go to save to web set to PNG-24 (and try and fail to uncheck Convert to sRGB)
-Add the png as an img element to a barebones html file with background-color: #3693C6 as the body's style
-View in Safari and the img will be rendered many shades off the background color.
I know the theory is the web is sRGB and so so should the PNG but I don't want the colors shifted at all, when doing web elements I don't care that th
