I have a green (many shades) postage stamp with a black cancellation. I would like to eliminate the stamp colors and just show the black cancellation. Can I do this with CS2 and if so, how.
View 1 RepliesI am having a problem and I am not sure what's the cause but I think that it is related to gamut. I recently noticed that some colors started to show as black instead of their original color. for example if I open a new document and set it's background to #00ce57 I see it in black instead of neon green.
when changing the color mode to 32 bit I see the correct color and also when I am turning on gamut warning all the black color turns into gray.

No matter what I do, the file extension names (i.e. jpg) show up in the contact sheet. eliminate them? I'm creating a grid for a gallery show and having the filename extensions added to the title of each image is cheesy.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy cloning stamp was working just fine, I edited a photo with it, saved that photo, then opened the next photo and tried to use the clone stamp on it and now all my clone stamp is doing is cloning black dots. It "grabs" the skin color I need, but when I go to "paste", it pastes only a black dot. I have CS5! There are NO other layers open, and I have tried to restart the program and even went as far as doing a system restore on my laptop to before this happened and nothing worked!

But, I just bought Elements 12 and I find that my clone stamp is doing something strange. In the circle, when I move it around the photo being edited, there is a black smudge in that circle and I can see images from other parts of the photo in that circle leaving marks on the photo as I move the circle around.

The class has a property called AllowDialogCancellation, but regardless of what I set that to the dialog still has a clickable X, and can also be closed with the escape key.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith both tools, I can make a few changes and then both will leave a black brush spot. It works, and then it is like the program is too challenged & it just leaves a black spot. Sometimes if I move my mouse to the history panel to back up to get rid of the black spot I get a swipe of the tool all across the image when I'm reaching with the mouse to go back in history.
I'm using PSE 11 and a Macbook Pro.
I'm having a strange issue in Photoshop CS6 at the moment. Not sure when it started or what's causing it! It seems that when I bring in certain colors, Photoshop interrupt them as black, however if I output the file as a JPEG (or any file-type for that matter), they appear fine. It just means it's impossible to color anything in PS as it all looks mad!
I first noticed the issue when opening a specific files, but I've now found I can actually recreate it in certain files with adjustment filters, the easiest way to demonstrate seems to be to crank up the saturation. For example;

I'm running Photoshop CS6 Extended (13.1.2 x64) on Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit. I'm running hardware acceleration on my ATI Radeon 7850, but turning it on or off makes no difference. The problem is also present on all color profiles, although for clarity I'm currently on the Europe General Purpose 3 preset. I'm aware I could be being an idiot here and turned some feature on that I didn't know about, but I just can't work out what's going on! I have another install of Photoshop CS6 at my other workplace, this time running on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leapord - that doesn't seem to suffer any issues, but this machine is more important!

The printer have of course told me that it needs to be on the one plate.
I have an empty file opened. Colors are set to black and white in the icon. Mode is RGB. When I try to use the brush tool to make a mark, it only comes out PALE PALE PALE gray. Opacity is set to 100% as is fill. Why can't I get a black line and what can I do about this? it's urgent as I need to sign a document.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe LUT adjustment layer produces unexpected results - some presets work as intended, but any of .LOOK format result in a black image. This is 100% consistent amongst the presets that ship with PS CS6.
I'm sure some e.g. bleached bypass worked OK in the recent beta.

every time I try to copy a face color from another image, it just looks too phony when put on the origanal picture (bleached out pic).
Using Photoshop Elements 12 and a new Canon inkjet printer, my photos come out in three colors, but no black. I have chosen to let Photoshop manage the color, but I cannot disable printer color management in the printer preference dialog.

Neither one works Elements2 was okay until I installed 8 then the color palettes locked to HOTPINK.
Whenever I drag an image off the web into Photoshop it seems like some colors gets pixels, large black areas inside the image. This only occurs in 8-bit mode, when I turn the image to 32-bit it show all colors correctly. But in 32-bit mode I cannot save to web. If I finish the image in 32-bit and then downgrade it to 8-bit, the black parts return.

I am using Mac Book Pro / 10.8.2 and Illustrator CS6, what I noticed is when I export my files to PDF, the thumbnails only show in B&W colors and this only happens when I am using Pantone colors. If I use colors randomly from swatch or just type Pantone in CMYK, it still shows color but that bugs me still. I did a test on my old Imac which is 10.7.3 and using CS5.5 but didn't have same issue. I am wonder if this happen to everyone or just certain CS version or so.

However, now when I print drawings or make pdfs, they are in color instead of black and white. And the pdfs in color now copy in such a way that some of the layers appear faded, are very light, and are difficult to read. How do I get the prints and pdfs back to black and white, with no color?

If the document is on the network, colors are printing in black.
But if I copy this document locally on my computer, colors are printing normally.

I'm trying to print in black & white, everything works except the true colors, i've selected a b&w ctb file were all the colors are turned to black & selected a printer to print b&w. I've even copied contents into a new file but still the true colors are printing in color!!

I've tried the monochrome ctb, monochrome stb, looking for solutions in these forums, etc. The std 255 colors are not a problem. It is only when I use a true color. When I tried the monochrome stb setting, the fill color on my multileaders did not change.
Also, in paperspace, with viewports that had solid objects in them, I used to be able to print and have hidden lines removed without them showing up that way in the viewport. (used 2008 at the time and have jumped from that to 2012)
I seem to remember that the was a variable command that controlled this but I can't remember it.
After simulation the result won't show colors in the part.Is this a bug ?

I have an AutoCAD dwg file that I would like to import into a Revit generic annotation .rfa file. It's a logo file that we're trying to use for a titleblock. It was originally made into a dwg from an EPS file. I would redraw in Revit but when I try it I get the 'line is too short' error. So it goes.
My problem is this- when I set a RGB value in the AutoCAD file, then import it into Revit with the option to preserve colors, it doesn't show the same color I assigned. I know there are some issues with converting ACAD colors to Revit colors.
When i use lightroom on 2 monitors i look mostly at the loupe view on the second monitor to judge or cull my pictures. I can see the resultant stars, colors and reject flags on the grid view on the primary monitor. but i cant see the ratings on the loupe view. I sometimes get confused as to whether i actually rated or color coded a particular photo in a similar series, but i have to look back at the primary monitor to make sure. Am I missing something? Is there some way to have a large view of the picture but include rating info on the same screen?

If I have say 8 elevation ranges in my analysis tab, I see it starts with red and goes to green. If I increase the range, I get into the blues. How can I expand the colors so If I only have 6 or 8 ranges that I see more colors and less shades of red. (by the way, I have selected rainbow color scheme)
