I'm trying to print in black & white, everything works except the true colors, i've selected a b&w ctb file were all the colors are turned to black & selected a printer to print b&w. I've even copied contents into a new file but still the true colors are printing in color!!

I've tried the monochrome ctb, monochrome stb, looking for solutions in these forums, etc. The std 255 colors are not a problem. It is only when I use a true color. When I tried the monochrome stb setting, the fill color on my multileaders did not change.
Also, in paperspace, with viewports that had solid objects in them, I used to be able to print and have hidden lines removed without them showing up that way in the viewport. (used 2008 at the time and have jumped from that to 2012)
I seem to remember that the was a variable command that controlled this but I can't remember it.
I recently upgraded my setup and my printer hasn't been able to print a nice true black ever since. My printer is a Roland SP 300 V and I use Versaworks. I upgraded to CorelDRAW x5 from version 11. When I send an eps file to Versaworks the printer prints a dark gray on RGB black and various greens for Pantone blacks. I printed a default test chart directly in Versaworks and the 100% K printed great. I pulled an older file out which was exported using Corel 11 and the black prints fine. I don't know if I'm doing something obvious wrong or what but x5 has a whole more check boxes and options when exporting an eps file and I'm starting to get lost.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 64Bit running Adobe CS5 Master Collection. But ever since I allowed CS5 Photoshop to control my printer (HP Photosmart Prem 310-C) to do a test print of a graphic that I created all of my Blues print a violet/blue color, no matter what color blue. It has even affected MS Word & MS Project when I try to print blue colored font or Gantt Chart blues will no longer print blue, but will print the same blue/violet color. I've even tried a brilliant blue which will all view great, but prints the same shade of violet blue! All my colors and Blues will view great! I've calibrated my monitor and I've reset my printer several times and still the same thing! I never had this problem before I downloaded Adobe CS5! A strange thing is that I can run check printer test and the data & image that is stored in the printer will print blues perfect, including running a copy direct from the scanner bed and it will produce perfect blues. I almost feel as though Adobe CS5 has possessed my PC and printer, how do I get it back to printing like it did before installing CS5 Master Suite?

However, now when I print drawings or make pdfs, they are in color instead of black and white. And the pdfs in color now copy in such a way that some of the layers appear faded, are very light, and are difficult to read. How do I get the prints and pdfs back to black and white, with no color?

If the document is on the network, colors are printing in black.
But if I copy this document locally on my computer, colors are printing normally.

I have an empty file opened. Colors are set to black and white in the icon. Mode is RGB. When I try to use the brush tool to make a mark, it only comes out PALE PALE PALE gray. Opacity is set to 100% as is fill. Why can't I get a black line and what can I do about this? it's urgent as I need to sign a document.

I even set the Plot style to monochrome.stb, (which is a network file that others use without issue) have Plot with plot styles checked, and even tried checking the black and white only in the printer properties. This is Autocad 2012.
Is there something I am missing to have the print out come out in black and white? Te print preview shows it in color.
Forgot to mention, if another user opens the drawing, it prints in black and white ok.
I was wondering how to get a realistic face from a picture which the face is bleached out and all that is there is the eyes, nose etc, no skin color. It is a restoration project.
every time I try to copy a face color from another image, it just looks too phony when put on the origanal picture (bleached out pic).
When I import an eps, or create a new object with a shape tool. The default style is a clear fill and a hairline CYMK black (0,0,0,100) outline. I think I know how to change it to true black (0,0,0,0), but when i import an eps or an illustrator file, it is coming in as CMYK black (0,0,0,100)

I am trying to save a red and white and black logo to an eps file to use with a vinyl cutter but when it saves it changes it to a greyscale picture and the red color is removed. I tried resetting to factory settings and that didn't work.

I have read a lot of stuff on internet re print b&W but it all assumes you are starting with true b&W films. I have film developed to a CD, and it "registers" as RGB, but when try adjusting the channel mixer, etc and printing color = terrible. Printing it grayscale produces sepia.

I've tried creating a "draw filled shape" with white and pasting the bar code onto a layer above that but it does not work!
We do most of our drawing in 2D – quaint I know, but that’s the way the office works. On occasion we’ll do something as a solid model to guide a client understand a complex roof or a clearance problem. We started a model for a project we are working on and ended up using it as building elevations.
The problem is with plotting. If I use our standard office CTB (which is set to print as black), I get color printouts no matter what I try. I have tried using an STB and changing all our layer colors to “7” in an attempt to make it print black, but I'm getting extremely undesirable - seemingly random - line weight results.
The client wants the next project done in 3D as well and I’d like to be able to have the elevations look right.
I am trying to find out how to print a true color solid hatch for a rendered site plan. I can change the color in layer properties but when I go to print, it shows and prints a darker more saturated color almost like an autocad color. When I select the transparency button it seems to be closer to the real color.

I have checked the inks and have checked the printer. When copying somthing staight from the printer the colours are perfect. I have only had this problem since I installed the above. What can I do to rectify this problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBy default, the PDF print drivers we use (Bluebeam, PDF 995) set True Type text handling to be "as graphics" rather than "as text" (see below), which makes for some ugly text. I know I can make this change and save as a .PC3 file, but all our page setups for sheets & templates in the office all reference these default drivers, so it would be preferable to change the way the default driver works if possible. Is the default plotter configuration editable?

In the attached image, I'm trying to achieve a true white background in PSE. I put a true white box in the image to show the gray background that's in the original shot. (I understand it'd be best if I could achieve the true white with the camera in the original shot, but this seems to be the best I can do with the camera. I set white balance and over-exposed as far as I could without washing out the subject. Still a gray background.)
The problem I'm having is that every PSE tool I use to try to adjust the background image washes out the thin hairs of the grain. Ideally, I'd like to be able to create a perfect mask so I can just kockout the background. That way, I can adjust the tones of the subject without affecting the surrounding area.
I am trying to export a file for my printer and my CMYK colors are not looking right on the exported file, they are very dull and the colors are not the same at all.
I have changed my DRAW files to be ONLY CMYK colors and have experimented with the Color Management tool to no use at all and reset the workspace.
For example: the blues that my client chose are C56 M0 Y6 K0 and C30 M0 Y60 K0 - they look great onscreen, but once I export to a jpg/eps/tif/etc the colors dull down and don't match at all!
I would like to draw parts in 3d view which look very basic, i.e. out of a book.
Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Publish to PDF, click settings to view the tab and the last tab says 1 issue, "contain objects that fall outside of page".
I do a select all to see what nodes show up outside the page - none. Print Preview doesn't show what will be cropped.
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
Is there any way to print to a PDF and have the background remain black? I know how to make the colors stick for the objects but colors like yellow and cyan are hard to see on a white background.
