Within the last 18 months, I've run across an Adobe TV tutorial describing how to eliminate power lines in an image but I'm unable to find the show. method besides just using the cloning tool? Or, know of the tutorial?
View 4 RepliesI watched a video created by Adobe Product Manager Brian O. Hughes titled Adobe Max: Hidden Gems in Photoshop an excellent video (see link below). I have been trying his easy method of removing power lines from an image using the pen tool and stroke path method defined as follows:
Using the pen tool create a path of the line to be removed. Making sure the brush tool is small and set at 100% opacity; click on the Spot Healing Brush making sure it is set to "content aware". Then in the path panel click "stroke path" and it removes the line.
Well I have followed these instructions several times, very simple, but it doesn't remove the line for me. I can manually shift click the start and ending point and it removes it but using the stroke command within the path panel doesn't work. I am making sure the path is active.

Please see attached image (I have tried to attach the part file but file size is to large to upload). I have created a sheet metal part, then converted to a solid component to utilize the bend tool. The actual part will need to overlap at the ends and will be joined using spot welds. I would like to be able to illustrate the overlap in the inventor model if possible but how to achieve this.
Before I call it a day and revert to AutoCAD or sketch this into a IDW,
how would I remove power lines in my image.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using photoshop cs6 to create textile designs, and occassionally, (it hasnt happened with every tile) when i change the image size of my tile e.g. from 15cm sq to 10cm sq, then try to repeat the tile it forms thin lines between the tiles?
heres the tile repeated after ive changed the image size and you can see the thin lines...when i zoom in on the tile edges where the line has formed it looks like this....almost as if theres empty pixels that can then be coloured in.
i dont think its a problem when creating the tile because before i changed the image size it repeated fine with no lines, its something thats happeneing when the image size is altered.
No matter what I do, the file extension names (i.e. jpg) show up in the contact sheet. eliminate them? I'm creating a grid for a gallery show and having the filename extensions added to the title of each image is cheesy.

I'm trying to link an image in psd file on the Illustrator. PReviously, it has no problem, however, today when I try to do that it didn't appear in illustrator. It only have a rectangular box with an X across it. I have tried to do stuff like Bring forward or Bring to the front, but it didn't work.
I have the Corel Draw X5 and I can not power clip a picture. I clicked on the bezier tool and traced the image. I went to power clip and when I clicked on the line I just made with the black arrow it says , the object I selected is invalid.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've recently installed auto cad 2007lt on our new computer. I set up numerous tool palettes with blocks that we use often. I was pulling images from the palettes to my drawing with no problem.
Today when I tried inserting an image from the tool palette it is saying that the image can not be found. I've tried under previous drawings and new templates and have been unsuccessful.
Is there any better method to find the overall size of a part model? I tried Range Box method and that gives some inaccuracy if the model have loft feature and fillet on that. But if I use GetExistingFacets the size gives more accurate. At the same time in a round part model with a cut, the GetExistingFacets give inaccuracy and range box method gives better result. Below is the X, Y, Z sizes of the two models with the above mentioned methods.
Round Part (Part1)
Measured with GetExistingFacets method = 129.934196472168 x 126.422719955444 x 25
Measured with Range Box method = 130 x 126.514225996919 x 25

I am not a regular user of the Inventor General Table. I can make and edit the table with no problems. I want to eliminate the lines from one of the columns while leaving the lines in the remaining columns. I tried to set up the column before inserting it but could not find the column format that would allow me to do that in the Style Editor.
How to do this. I need to also remove the (read only) from the Style Editor.
I have many 3d metal sheet metal drawing. When I put the model into 3d model in to 2d layout, I see many 'lines' on flat surfaces. The 'lines' seem to be showing 'reflective effect'. However, it really cause problem when I give this to my boss. He asked why I cut the sheet metal into so many pieces. How I can set autocad NOT to show those unwanted lines?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was just going through the files for our main printed catalog, updating everything and turning individual pages into pdfs for the website, and once again ran into this anomaly. Often, photos with a white background would be processed for the pdf with a black kind of ragged edge line, appearing to be slightly offset from the actual cropping edge from DRAW. This has been an intermittent problem for as long as I can remember. I suspect Adobe is at fault, but what is the solution? I can re-crop the photo and regenerate a new pdf and sometimes that works, but not for a lot of these pics.

I already have the background on my image transparent, but with a flashy orange background this so-called transparent background displays a grayish color. eliminate the fragments from a grayscale image. I used a JPG. You never get just black and white because of the edge transition. So, the image was made bitmap transparent, and contone recolored light and dark to red. You don't get edge blending this way. Xara alphe channel traces to black, therefore the image needs to be something other than black. I made a bitmap copy/alpha for tracing. You need a copy othewise the trace image would be gray scale. Xara seeems to take what is in memory. I think you can see the alpha channel traces black. Xara appears to trace from the bottom up, and the bottom of the image will trace to the background object.

I have a jpg that I received from a client for a website I'm doing for him. He does not have the logo in any other format. The image is on a white background, which will not work with the design I'm making for him.
The image is fairly simple, it's just some text with triangles, but the text has some layer effects applied to it that I'm not sure where they came from or how to recreate them.
Any ideas on how to remove the drop shadow? I have attached part of the image. If any one has ideas on how to recreate the text effects (including the texture) I am willing to do that and recreate the logo instead of trying to edit out the drop shadow.
I've been trying to resize an image and tried Gimp 2's interpolation method but nothing happened. I increased the size to 150% with 153 pixels (I think). Did I do something wrong or is Gimp just not good for interpolation?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI've tried to download the Photoshop CS6 Extended trial, but it was missing from the download assistant, so I just downloaded the version that was available, the 3D feature was missing, which is one of the only reasons I decided to get the trail for Extended, it's not grayed out, it's just simply not there.
My PC's specs are:
Windows 8 Professional 64bit,
CPU is an AMD FX-4100 Quad Core,
8GB of DDR3 RAM,
My GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550ti,
For some reason, the line tool in Photoshop will not show up. Whenever I draw a line, the outline shows but it doesn't seem to fill with the selected color. That is, I've got black as the foreground color, the line is set to 1 px, but when I draw it,
I can see right through that temporary shape outline that Photoshop displays until you do the next action. When I draw the next line, the first line is simply not there (no line, and no shape outline). Does anybody know what might be going on here?
