View 2 RepliesI created a slide show in Elements 9. the show worked normally when viewed as a slide show, but when saved it as a wmv file, some of the pictures were completely black. How can I correct this ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI removed color info and reset to greyscale, yet I still get a pink hue when I save as a pdf.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am in Photoshop, all the colors are darker and more saturated. but when I save the file, it gets all light and not how I wanted it. Just to let you know, I am running CS2.
Much more full of color. This is what I wanted. I also might add that when I load pictures they are darker than when I open them out of photoshop. For some reason it just makes everything darker when in photoshop.
I created some graphics for a website and selected save for web (jpg). The first thing I noticed is the colors are much darker than the .psd file.
View 4 Replies View Relatedold settings that matched were printer mgmt, Epson vivid gamma 2.2 paper
premium glossy, PS set on relative allow printer mgmt
...now all the prints I make with same saved settings are too dark and too
magenta
..using calibration on monitor from software based gamma program Samsung
magic eye can see all levels of black and whites with separation on webpage
test, do not have a hardware based tool
R1800 system display properties set to auto choose from profiles I see the

reinstalled same to make sure up to date
things I tried:
turn off printer mgmt, let PS manage, chose perceptual>>same exact results
as first too dark,too magenta
turn back to printer mgmt in PS, set to perceptual in PS, gamma 2.2 in Epson
driver>>same exact results
PS choose no color mgmt printer set to standard (was on vivid), try ICM on
sRGB (same as files & camera)
PS back to printer mgmt, relative printer set to icm sRGB input
standard>exact same results too dark, too magenta
make print in Windows wizard software>>same exact results
go back to printer driver-using my old settings that used to match>>
manually by sliders >set brightness up and pulled down magenta>>much much
closer to picture on monitor
have to make 13x13 display prints and am wasting ink and paper testing
all this (used 6x13 strips left over trims)
for years I used Epson r1800 on printer management it usually matches the monitor image quite well I had not had any success using adobe color mgmt in the past
the images I am printing are sRGB and now they don't match at all they are too dark and cool (bluish) If I change the monitor to the match the printer then all of my files will look bad on screen changing the printer setting did not seem to change the actual prints
I am experiencing the problem in CS6 described here:
[URL]......
However, the file provided by Adobe as a solution is an empty text file. Is this a mistake? I followed the instructions but it did not fix the issue. I'm guessing that the text file provided needs to contain some data.
Anyone know if there is a good black or dark skin for Photoshop CS4? Perhaps one that looks like Lightroom?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen im doing artwork in photoshop everything works fine up until I get to the point when I need to use really dark colors. Like different colors of black. When I get to this point the dark colors dont Blend well, they look like theyre displaying only a few shades of grey as opposed to many that would work for it blend better. I tried resetting my preferences and it did nothing. Im using Windows 7, Photoshop CS5.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhich affects and filters do you recomend i use to improve the quality of this photograph, it was taken with a phone in the dark so is terrible quality.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been faced with an almost identical problem listed here URL....The only thing that changes it from complete blackness is the "Ambience" value. I've done all software and hardware updates, reinstalled the graphics card driver, and restarted a multitude of times. I am using:
Dell Optiplex 390
Intel(R) HD Graphics 2000
Windows 7 64 bit
Photoshop CC
No Color Management
No plug-ins, or anything other than default PS settings
I used Lighting Effects on Photoshop CS3 and CS6 for almost two years on this machine with no problem. This was the first time I had tried to use it since I upgraded to CC. I uninstalled all other versions of PS when I upgraded, so I have not tried to replicate the problem in older versions.
I am having a huge issue with Photoshop CS5.5. The gradients and colors are acting crazy. When I bring in a image with a gradient it gets black spots all in the dark areas. Even when I use the default gradient selection this is what happens. When I bring in a picture that should have a white background it turns to black. Now apparently, when I save it out as a JPEG saves correctly without the black line or messed up gradients. So it seems to only be an issue when I am working in Photoshop, the gradients appear messed up. What is wrong with my display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Photoshop for a while now but have recently been invited to design some sportswear. I want to initially take existing clothing and change the colours and add designs. As an example, how would I get this soccer kit to be either all white or white on everything apart from the shorts?
I have managed to get yellow to go white using the hue/saturation tool but dark colours seem like its impossible. I do also want to know how to go from white to a darker colour but maybe I should save that for my next thread.
Why won't my LR4 menu sliders display in dark vibrant colors on my MacBook Pro?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Inventor screen picture became much dark as used to be.
For example all my aluminum parts became too dark and too grey.
My office machine has excellent picture within the same settings of Lightings.
Here is video link attached. If I set more Bright the picture becomes closer as used to be but it used to work fine at 50% and my office machine is also perfect at 50%
Either it about the setting of Inventors or my videocard ?
I've got this problem after the successive series of program crushes.
There is only Inventor has this "dark picture" problem. Other programs works fine.
i always use corel for designing an advertorial matter, but there's always something that bothering me when i get the print results.. why does the colors especially blue and green always looks so dark, infact, they became brown and purple..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed a common trend among my .JPEG saves from Photoshop, they all seem to appear darker than when they were originally viewed and edited accordingly in Photoshop.
I don't know much about Color profiles and such, I have gone through the settings briefly, but do not want to mess anything up!
Shooting with a Nikon D70 in Raw mode - tweak in raw - looks good - open in PS CS2 - still looks good then save for web and the colors wash out dramatically(unacceptable). What gives?
if I can on account of the file being raw and the jpeg looking like yuck.
I've been having this problem for some time now. I edit my images and save them but the saved copies in their folders are always 1) darker and 2) with less color. However, when I put the images back into photoshop, they look as they did just before I saved them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what might be causing it?
Also, when I do a lot of editing in one go, I get a message that I'm running out of memory on my C drive, even though photoshop is installed on my much larger D drive.
When I have a drawing open in AutoCAD LT 2012 any xrefs are very dull or perhaps dark is a better description and on a black background tend to be very difficult to see. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to brighten up the xref?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm having some color discrepancies in ps cs2. The colors that i see on my workspace(psd) are different from the colors that appear when i save the image. Check the screen grab for an example. This effect is way more pronounced on my screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI saved a picture on photoshop, turned off my computer, and when I turned it back on, I found that my picture was no longer a '.PSD' file but just a file that cannot be opened by my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. Is there any way I can change the file back to a PSD or just a regular JPEG?
View 6 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine sent me a jpeg file, which when
viewed by most viewer programs looks the same.
But when I view it using Zoom Browser (the program
that came with my Canon DC), I find that the picture
contains much more. I guess that the picture might
have been cropped using a DC's digital zoom function.
Can I view the orginal image before the cropping using
Photoshop? (Using Zoom Browser, I can only view the
original image in thumbnail mode which is not large
enough).
I am interested in the mechanism of the cropping
process. Could you kindly tell me a little about that?
When I export my work to .jpg format all is OK. All looks fine on desktop. But when I try to print it there are several dark pixels allover the picture. It looks like snow or TV noise. I tried different picture fixing programs, but nothing... How can I remove that noise?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to print a photo on my Canon MX870 that has been edited (cropped and a few slight lighting changes) in Elements 9 , the colours look good on the screen but when I print it looks different, . I have the colour settings from the Edit menu set to "always optimize for printing". The file information shows the camera data as colour space sRGB.
I am using canon inks (all full) and canon matte photo paper and I selected the matte photo paper on the paper type in printer settings.
I have printed good photos before on this printer (I think using photo gallery) but was not using photoshop elements at the time. Does it make any difference if the photo is saved as a jpeg file or a pse file?
I recently upgraded from PSE5 to PSE12. The installation went smoothly and my old Catalog was imported without a hitch. After my first test run to edit a file, I did a "Save As" in a version set with the original. I then closed the file, but when I went to the organizer, it was not there. When I go to the folder in Windows Explorer, the edited file is present - I just can't get it to appear (alone or in a version set) in the Organizer. (FYI, I am running Windows 8).
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am going through RAW files from my Canon cameras (1Ds MkIII and 6D) I edit them in the develop module and then convert to aRGB or sRGB depending on the output media. They look good in aRGB and sRGB too when I take into account the limitations of sRGB.
---> However, if I try the softproof to aRGB or sRGB the resulting proof crushes dark tones into solid black. Why is this when the actual conversions are way better? The actual conversions look good in both LR and PS CS5.
I have also noticed that when I upload images to my online galleries and view them with Firefox (latest version and color management enabled for all rendered graphics) they appear darker in the darkest tones than what they appear in LR. What gives?

I'm having a strange issue in Photoshop CS6 at the moment. Not sure when it started or what's causing it! It seems that when I bring in certain colors, Photoshop interrupt them as black, however if I output the file as a JPEG (or any file-type for that matter), they appear fine. It just means it's impossible to color anything in PS as it all looks mad!
I first noticed the issue when opening a specific files, but I've now found I can actually recreate it in certain files with adjustment filters, the easiest way to demonstrate seems to be to crank up the saturation. For example;

Output Image (w/ saturation at +68):

I'm running Photoshop CS6 Extended (13.1.2 x64) on Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit. I'm running hardware acceleration on my ATI Radeon 7850, but turning it on or off makes no difference. The problem is also present on all color profiles, although for clarity I'm currently on the Europe General Purpose 3 preset. I'm aware I could be being an idiot here and turned some feature on that I didn't know about, but I just can't work out what's going on! I have another install of Photoshop CS6 at my other workplace, this time running on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leapord - that doesn't seem to suffer any issues, but this machine is more important!
