View 1 RepliesI scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing the problem in CS6 described here:
[URL]......
Â
However, the file provided by Adobe as a solution is an empty text file. Is this a mistake? I followed the instructions but it did not fix the issue. I'm guessing that the text file provided needs to contain some data.
I have been faced with an almost identical problem listed here URL....The only thing that changes it from complete blackness is the "Ambience" value. I've done all software and hardware updates, reinstalled the graphics card driver, and restarted a multitude of times. I am using:
Â
Dell Optiplex 390
Intel(R) HD Graphics 2000
Windows 7 64 bit
Photoshop CC
No Color Management
No plug-ins, or anything other than default PS settings
Â
I used Lighting Effects on Photoshop CS3 and CS6 for almost two years on this machine with no problem. This was the first time I had tried to use it since I upgraded to CC. I uninstalled all other versions of PS when I upgraded, so I have not tried to replicate the problem in older versions.
Dark colors is black in photoshop but not when saved as a picture!?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a huge issue with Photoshop CS5.5. The gradients and colors are acting crazy. When I bring in a image with a gradient it gets black spots all in the dark areas. Even when I use the default gradient selection this is what happens. When I bring in a picture that should have a white background it turns to black. Now apparently, when I save it out as a JPEG saves correctly without the black line or messed up gradients. So it seems to only be an issue when I am working in Photoshop, the gradients appear messed up. What is wrong with my display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Photoshop for a while now but have recently been invited to design some sportswear. I want to initially take existing clothing and change the colours and add designs. As an example, how would I get this soccer kit to be either all white or white on everything apart from the shorts?
I have managed to get yellow to go white using the hue/saturation tool but dark colours seem like its impossible. I do also want to know how to go from white to a darker colour but maybe I should save that for my next thread.
When I have a drawing open in AutoCAD LT 2012 any xrefs are very dull or perhaps dark is a better description and on a black background tend to be very difficult to see. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to brighten up the xref?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I am going through RAW files from my Canon cameras (1Ds MkIII and 6D) I edit them in the develop module and then convert to aRGB or sRGB depending on the output media. They look good in aRGB and sRGB too when I take into account the limitations of sRGB.
Â
---> However, if I try the softproof to aRGB or sRGB the resulting proof crushes dark tones into solid black. Why is this when the actual conversions are way better? The actual conversions look good in both LR and PS CS5.
Â
I have also noticed that when I upload images to my online galleries and view them with Firefox (latest version and color management enabled for all rendered graphics) they appear darker in the darkest tones than what they appear in LR. What gives?

My friend has taken some engagement photographs and unfortunately the couple have dark hair and the background is also dark - I think you can see her problem with the photos. Somehow the background needs to be lightened and neither of us know how (we both have Photoshop 7)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI occasionally use GIMP to burn-down parts of portraits that compete with the face. For example, bare shoulder, midriff over-light, hands over-lit.
The skin ends up looking greyish, not like less-lit skin. It works not too badly visually, as the emphasis is on the face, but fails on inspection.
I have tried the burn tool and just plain old Brightness, both on a selected area.

Could I have a description of how to match the skin color of the head to the boxer's skin color?
What do I do? Everytime I am working in Photoshop my screen flashes black, and the entire image goes black.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe new CS4 skin behaves very badly for me: it doesn't refresh properly, under a variety of circumstances. Sometimes the titlebar shows the GDI skin, but the Adobe skin is the active one (so min/max/close buttons are functionally in a different location than they are visually). Today, when I go into Fullscreen with Menus mode, the menu and option bar simply grey out. Everything displays correctly in windowed mode, but not my favored mode. I try with CS4 maximized, windowed, OGL acceleration on and off. I am coming to really hate the fagility of the new skin of PS.
View 13 Replies View RelatedCalibrating the monitor doesn't help.....it means that the brightness of the photos is okay but then again everything else on the screen is too light.
Tried changing color prfofiles etc but no difference.
The strange thing is that it only happens with photoshop....cs, cs2 and elements. With oher programs as I mentioned the photos when dispalyed are the original brightness they need to be.
How to even out the skin color, I have a picture of a model, unfortunately due to light and make up and her skin color the color of her face and her hands and body don't match, I think I saw a video on youtube where the skin color was evened out throughout the picture from raw I think this was done on bridge but I am not sure. How to even out the skin color either on PS or bridge?

I currently have CS5 on a win 7 pc.
But,I couldn't figure out how to "paint back in detail" like it described, into the eyes and lips. It said something like "paint with a black brush over the blur mask to eliminate the blur in specific areas." I couldn't find a black brush; which brush is it talking about?
Also, I'd like to know how to apply this technique to just an area I've selected with the lasso tool, like her face.
I am learning how to retouch skin to achieve a more fashion, glamour look. Most online tutorials recommend using Gaussian blur and then masking the eyes. This technique is not very satisfying since details are lost completely. I have read pros dont use it ....

How do I make a girl with skin that isnt really that smooth look like this? edit: i cant imagine her skin was like that at the time of the photo. i mean that skin is realllllllllly smooth.
How do you make things appear under a human skin? No X-ray effect, no cutting-the-skin-away-and-see-what's-underneath-it kind of thing, but just so that you see the skin formed around the thing which is underneath it. Not just like pregnancies, but that the skin in pretty tight around it, for instance with (broken) bones, big veins, some horror effect where a face appears on someone's back, etc. Also different 'deepness'es at different parts, yet still in 2D.
Obviously, the object I want to have appear underneath the skin comes from another layer as the picture of the person, the 'skin owner', who is the chosen (and probably very unlucky) one.
does anyone know how this alligator skin was made?
i'm making a sig, so i need this as a background, but i don't want it
to repeat like a pattern, rather like an actual section of an alligator skin without
the beveled look of a button, but a more rounded appearance.
how to smooth skin?

So far I've tried: - Making the texture black and white and use different filters, but it doesnt work on all the different skin colours and it doesnt look real.- Using Multiply filter after adjusting the original texture - that seems to work well except on people with darker skin, then the wrinkles are just too dark. I would like to know if anyone knows a simple way where i can make this texture works on all skin colours, with out going in and adjusting the wrinkle texture one by one according to each individual.
