Apr 18, 2013I just cannot move any polygon that I've created using the Polygon Tool. After making polygons, I ensured they had not been locked and selected the Move Tool to move them to no avail.

Aug 27, 2012I have attached a picture of what it continues to do when I attempt to select a face of this polygon I revolved from a cv curve tool line. Accidentally copied dual screen. I have been running into countless problems while trying to manipulate this revolved surface like a polygon but there is something stopping me. How do I just select an edge or a face without the entire thing lighting up with yellow dots and not actually selecting anything! I try to hold shift and click other faces but that doesn't work either!
If I could somehow delete the action of revolving a line to treat the independent tessellations as one uniform polygon. I am very new to this program and I don't know where history might be.

Jun 19, 2012Recently upgraded from CS2 --> CS5 in windows. This issue started with that upgrade. Been using PS for years.In my large PSD files I use folders to logically-group layers. With CS5, when I put layers into a folder, it automatically groups the layers (not links, groups). When trying to move the contents on ONE LAYER in a folder (using the mouse).... it moves ALL the layers in the folder.
If I use the keyboard ARROW keys, I can move the contents of one layer in a folder independently of the other layers in the folder.I have not explicitly asked PS to group or link ANYTHING in my file. The default seems to be to GROUP layers in a folder. It did not used to be this way.
If I UNGROUP the layers in the folder, it deletes the folder and the layers are now all at the root level. I lose my organization.The only way to get around this is either:
(1) leave the folder grouped and use the keyboard arrow keys to move the contents on one layer (way too cumber some), or
(2) MOVE the layer out of the folder, move the contents of it, then move the layer back into the folder.

Jul 8, 2005I try to move text in a layer with the move tool. I highlight the text layer, select the move tool, and move the tool to the text. As soon as I click on the layer with my mouse, the highlight moves to an image layer below the text layer. I can move the text using the arrow keys, but that takes forever.

Jul 5, 2012I'm having issues in a particular drawing with moving a single polyline. I'm trying to move one polyline, but it instead moves all connecting polylines and some nearby polylines.
My specific example: I have a layer for the existing house, a layer for a hedge, and a layer for a fence. The polyline for the hedge is currently touching the polyline for the house and the fence polyline is next to it (but not touching). When I click on the hedge and try to pull it away from the house (whether from the end grips or midpoint) it will also try to move the polyline of the house that it's touching and the polyline of the fence that is closest to the hedge. When I try to move it using the MOVE command, the same thing happens.
I've tried shutting down CAD and turning it back on, opening it on another computer, flattening the entire drawing, and copying everything and pasting it into a new file. Nothing has worked so far.

Nov 17, 2011I added text to a new layer on a photo, I was able to adjust the angle to fit what I wanted but I am unable to move the text to where I want it on the photo. I would expect that there would be a select tool so that I could select objects and move them around but all I find is tools to paint with and such. Surely there is a way to move a text box around.

Jun 20, 2012FIRST: I cannot move photos from one folder to another, drag and drop does not function at all, and there is no 'move' command with a right-cllick on a photo. I can move folder locations, drag and drop on the folder view works, but I want to move individual photos. I am sure I could do it with previous versions.
SECOND: If I click on HELP, I simply get a box up from Adobe AIR saying: This installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance. I am loathe to re-install as last time I did that, I had a grand hassle over number of activations, even though I am only running on my one and only machine.

Sep 14, 2012For some reason I'm unable to move photos or folders from within lightroom 4. The drag and drop system from the library module does nothing for me. I'm pretty sure I just watched an AdobeTV demonstration where the presenter had no problem moving files inside the "Folders" panel in the Library. I've even tried highlighting the photos I want to move from the grid view, control+clicking on the folder where I want them to go, selecting "Move Selected Photos to this Folder" from the flyout, and nothing happens.
My cursor shows a green plus(+) icon when I mouse over the destination folder when dragging the photos, as if LR were going to add the files to the folder.... but then nothing happens.
Am I losing it, shouldn't this be a completely intuiative process? Is it possible I've locked my files/photos?

Dec 5, 2013Very recently I have lost the ability to move files from one folder to another in Lightroom 4.4. I was highlighting the files I wanted to move and then I would drag them to the folder I wanted to move the files to. Now if I highlight numerous files when I try to drag the files Lightroom will just highlight the file my cursor is hovering over. It then won't let me drag the file to the folder I desire.

Dec 29, 2011I bought a ReadyNAS and a few harddrives to go with it, and decided to move all my 35594 pictures to it.As Lightroom has some silly features like not being able to move multiple folders unless they have a root folder, I moved most of these files via Explorer and then had to sync them one by one for hand (which is annoying, as there's one folder for every day – however, that's another question). For the rest of the 20 000 photos, I decided to move them with Lightroom.
Results:
0 missing files from the files I moved with Explorer and resynced.
3049 missing files from the files I moved with Lightroom.
The files simply don't exist anymore, on neither of the disks. I've searched every single drive for them completely by file name, date, everything. They're gone.This has nothing to do with disk failure, or user error. Only the files I moved with Lightroom are affected.
Considering there's both client work and personal pictures among these, it's crucial that I get them back.
There's another thread about this problem here, except that I didn't have the luck of just 80 files.
Lightroom :: Unable To Locate Files After Move 4.1?
Jun 12, 2012During importing specifically "Moving" a selection of pictures from one location on internal drive to another location on internal drive, after I tagged the pictures with keywords, Lightroom crashed.
Now when I go to Previous import the pictures are not found. Neither are the files in the location I move them to. When I do a search for the images with the keywords I tagged those images with, I can't locate them. I don't see them in the Trash either.
Now, I have no idea where those images are. This is very bad. I guess I'll have to use Finder to move the images first then "Add" them to Lightroom afterwards. It's a good thing I was paying attention when I did the import.

Aug 9, 2011On a new transparent layer, I have drawn a straight line with the pencil tool. I select the Box Selection tool to select the whole line that I just drawn. I switch to the Move tool and made sure to move just the selection.
At this point, I would think that I would be able to move the line but only the box that is shown by the Box Selection tool moves. The line doesn't move at all. However, when I tell the Move tool to move the selected layer, the whole canvas moves, including the line. Why can't I just select just the line and move it?

Feb 19, 2013I'm adding a layer(small picture of unicorn, for the sake of the example) to the default/first layer and I move it around the background for positioning.
Once I decide to add another layer/picture I cannot move the unicorn anymore, he is imprinted in the default layer. Is there a possibility that I can move it again after the manipulation with the second picture/layer?
In effect, I want to have the possibility to move many small pictures "at once"(its not really at once but very close to it, like I want to move stack of cards on my table), is that possible?
