Oct 25, 2013when i try to use the polygon tool it tells me this "could not use the polygon tool because of a program error" how do i fix this?

Sep 7, 2005I am struggling in using the Polygon Tool to create a Hexagon, for some reason the only type of polygon that is preset is the star which I can create with as many sides that I want. But I don't want to do a star, I want to create a 5 sided polygone, or even 6 sided polygon, I basically want to create a hexagon!
But initially I managed to get a hexagon, for some reason I can't get it to do it anymore!
Can someone tell me where I can set which type of polygon i want to create?
I am using photoshop CS.
Photoshop :: 100% CPUs Pegged With Polygon Lasso Tool
Mar 12, 2008when I use the Poloygon Lasso Tool, both my CPUs are pegged at 100%. When I switch tools, it goes back down to the normal 1-5% on each CPU.
This makes the selection all slow and jerky, thus making it impossible to work with this tool.
Anyone know what the issue is?
(image edited is 800x600 RGB/8 with PS CS3e on Vista 32, 4GB RAM, 2TB free, 3840x1200)

Apr 29, 2011I just started using Maya 2011, and in 8.5 the view window had a dropdown menu to change the viewport to polygon transparency sorting. Well there is no dropdown menu in 2011. So where do I change it? I can't tell if I'm clipping my model onto itself without doing a render.

Aug 27, 2012I have attached a picture of what it continues to do when I attempt to select a face of this polygon I revolved from a cv curve tool line. Accidentally copied dual screen. I have been running into countless problems while trying to manipulate this revolved surface like a polygon but there is something stopping me. How do I just select an edge or a face without the entire thing lighting up with yellow dots and not actually selecting anything! I try to hold shift and click other faces but that doesn't work either!
If I could somehow delete the action of revolving a line to treat the independent tessellations as one uniform polygon. I am very new to this program and I don't know where history might be.
Photoshop :: Polygon Lasso Tool Closes Selection At Random?
Nov 5, 2013Here’s the problem: Polygon Lasso decides to close the selection FOR NO REASON AT RANDOM.
Let me clarify that I am an advanced Photoshop user (certified expert by Adobe). I know all Photoshop tools inside and out and this is DEFINITELY not user error. Photoshop CC is glitching and it needs to be fixed. Thing is, this only started for me very recently; within the last few weeks. (Kinda close to when I updated to Mavericks on my mac but I’m not sure that has anything to do with it)
To re-iterate, this is NOT a double-clicking issue or anything done wrong by me. Making lots of small lassos joined by the shift key is also NOT a solution. Switching to the pen tool is also NOT a solution because my workflow depends on the speed of the lasso tool.
Maya Modeling :: Use Create Polygon Tool
Oct 12, 2011I'm trying to use the Create Polygon tool. My problem is that when I click to create a polygon I don't see anything. I can keep clicking and clicking to create points, which it apparently IS creating, but I don't see anything until I switch through one of the View types (wire frame, shaded, etc.).
I know I'm supposed to see the verts the second I click but that's not what I'm getting, it's more like I need to just go through the motions of blindly creating my shape, change views, and then edit the resulting verts and edges later.

Aug 19, 2012Sometimes when i want to add an edge between two others edges, the tool just does not create a new edge and I don't see any error popping. Some other time, it will create an edge but it's not going to place it where I wanted it to be. I would like to know how I could fix this problem and or what should i change in the option box.

Aug 20, 2012I am building some geometry and need to fill in this area, (ie fill hole with polygons then clean up with split polygon tool) but I am new to nurbs and am trying to do this model with nurbs. I usually use hull mode and move the hull down into the piece of geometry, but it won't move correctly that way.
So in the picture below i am trying to fill the red area and have it go into the green surface. The curvature of the green area makes it not line up correctly(ie fitting to the curvature of the green surface) when using the "moving hulls" approach. I was seeing if there was an easy way to go about this.

Nov 16, 2008Opened the myFile.psd file to continue edits from yesterday.
All layers are still visible, but when I attempt to use the History Brush Tool to continue editing the layer to paint over the image, nothing happens. It all was working yesterday.
Since I am new to Photoshop I was unsure if there was some default setting that needs to be changed.
This is the trial version of CS4.

Photoshop :: Unable To Edit Images Drawn By Shape Tool
Aug 5, 2012For some reason after drawing shapes with the shape tool, whether it is one line or a custom shape, I just can't edit it after drawing it. I can't edit it at all and it doesn't appear on any layer. I can delete every single layer and the shape will still be there.
They are not paths, but just to double check I did look under paths but it is empty. It doesn't matter what else I've done, or whether it is a new blank page I can't do anything with any shape once I've drawn it.
I can't get it to select it when I click show transform controls, I can't select it with the marquee tool and delete it (because it isn't on any layer) and I can't place anything over it to cover it.
I have to keep saving before drawing any shape and close and reopen the file if the shape doesn't go quite as I wanted first time. Obviously if I want anything over the shape in any way I can't do it.
