Photoshop :: Command (Close And Go To Bridge) - Returning To Lightroom After A Save?
Mar 29, 2013
In the menu under File there is a command "Close and Go to Bridge" Is there a way to do something similar for returning to Lightroom after a "Save"?

I had PSCS6 and LR5 working fine together, but after buying and installing Adobe Premiere Elements, the Edit in option from LR5 doesn't work like before anymore : after the PSCS6 edit is finished, the PS menu saying "Save and return to LR" is missing. I get only the Save and return to Bridge option.
I had hoped that installing both the Camera raw 8.2 and LR5.2 updates would have corrected the problem, but it didn't. What can I do to get the correct menu option back ? Is there anything in the preferences or in the ini file which I could change (working in Windows 7 64bits) ? I never use Bridge and rarely use Premiere Elemnts and I find this behaviour very noyous. Although the edited tiff picture is correctly saved and seems appears in LR. Still getting back automatically to LR would be more aggreable, since both programs are supposed to work together and that was the main reason why I updated from CS5 to CS6.
Is there any option that I could tweak to get back to the old and more correct behaviour ?

When I try to load updates, I am informed that I must close cs5.5 bridge. I then do so. I then try to load but am informed that cs5.5 bridge needs to be closed.

I've got a script for processing a bunch of files which starts by bringing up ufraw. I would like to have ufraw save the list of modifications made before returning to gimp. (.ufraw file)
However, when gimp starts ufraw, it passes some option to ufraw whichcauses ufraw to not display the save tab which allows setting what to save.
Is there a way to tell gimp to bring up ufraw differently, or is the problem in ufraw?

Whenever I edit (a copy) of an image in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.3 (Photo/Edit-In), after I save and close the image in CS6 the new psd image does not show in Lightroom. In order to see the image in Lightroom, I need to close Lightroom and then reopen Lightroom. It is almost like Lightroom needs to "refresh". Any solution that does not require me to close Lightroom? I have tried to use View/Sort by extension, filename, edit time, etc. with no effect.

I use my photoshop daily and have about 50000 images on my computer so very much need the bridge to be able to view them all and select the ones I want. for the past few days I have been getting "photoshop has encountered an error and needs to close" every time I try to open a file through bridge, quite often I also get the same error message on the bridge as well a few seconds later.
I have tried reinstalling photoshop, I even tried deleting all the presets which I have added over the years and trying it straight from the reinstall, it still does the same,

I used to be able to open a drawing then close it right away, if it was not the drawing I was looking for, as long as I didn't pan, zoom, or do anything else. Almost a year ago I had a pop-up with-in AutoCAD that they reccommend I make this selection. I can't remember what it said really, it was something about a script or lisp loading at each drawing opening. Well, the result is the 'Drawing 1' does not disappear when I open another drawing and I would like that to stop. Also as I said it does it to every drawing. how to stop this? I tried the 'startup' command and that is not it. It is not a big thing just something I think is a waste of my time having to close that drawing each time I open AutoCAD. Not sure it matters but I am using AutoCAD 2012

When I edit a photo in Photoshop from Lightroom 4 and save it back to Lightroom, the photo ends up somewhere else in the folder than it's original location. This is a hassle as my folders can have hundreds of photos. Is there a setting that will place the file back to where it came from?

Where did they hide the "close all" command or what was it renamed to? It's not in the Unused Commands, nor can I find it in the File command list

I need to copy and rename my current drawing then open the copied drawing, and I need to close the original drawing.
However when I try to both open the renamed drawing and close the original drawing (in the code below), the original drawing will not close.
If I don't open the renamed drawing, the following code works and I can close the original drawing.
[CommandMethod("TestClose", CommandFlags.Session)] public void TestCloseDocument() { string fullName = Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument.Name; string projectDirectory = System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument.Name);
[Code] .....

I've created an action that uses the save for web dialogue to optimise images for the web. When I use the batch command to process a full folder of images, even though I have "Override action "save as" command" checked, it ignores this and still uses the location that was used when the action was created.
Apparently this is a known issue in CS6 and previous versions but whether this has been fixed in Photoshop CC?

I often open multiple images to make several changes, then use Close All and when it prompts "Do you want to save changes to ... before closing?" I check off the box to "Apply to all" and say Yes. This saves lots of time when adjusting several multi-hundred MB images. Imagine my surprise today when it closed an image without saving! I had to repeat about 30 minutes of work as a result.
I thought I had somehow accidentally clicked "No" to saving, so I made sure to pay close attention the next few times I used Close All to save work. It worked fine until a moment ago when it did it again.

I've seen this happen with a couple of the previous releases, but not for some time. After the CLOSE command is issued, the drawing graphics remain displayed but no AutoCAD specific keyboard or mouse input is accepted. More of an annoyance, I guess, as Control + O will then allow opening of another drawing file. This just started today for no apparent reason after using 2014 for the past week or so. Prior to this happening, my workstation locked up completely while trying to close a CAD file and Task Manager wouldn't take any input.

I need to save a drawing file and give it the name of my desire using a single command, I don't want to issue "saveas" and then specify the name in the file name prompt. This problem is has been faced when I was using ScriptPro and I couldn't succeeded to do that. Hence I need to know if it is feasible to do the stuff using a single command. It will be preferred if I can choose the location to save the file also rather than save the file to the default location.

We have two computers running AutoCAD 2013 with Windows 7 64 bit and both crash regularly on save and close with about 2/3 of the drawing files. Typically it won't crash if I have only one drawing file open and then save and close. With more than one file open the system crashes regularly on both computers. Our service pack updates are current.

Since AutoCAD preserves the entire database list of commands used on a drawing from the beginning, is it possible to "back up," like using undo, after a drawing is saved and closed? Is there a way to come back the next day and start undoing the previous day's work?

Running Autocad Architecture 2014:
I am running into a problem, I like to use the annotative line type scale when I open the drawing i have to set the MSLTS to (0), and PSLTS to (0), LTS is already at (0). When I set these settings then save the drawing (saves as autocad 2013 version), close it down and re-open it the MSLTS and PSLTS settings reset back to (0). I've tried everything to get these settings to save but nothing works.
I want to keep these settings MSLTS (1), PSLTS (1), and LTS (1), after a save and re open they reset to (0)

Every time I make minor adjustments to a photo in Camera Raw within Adobe Bridge, it saves the edits in a DW (Dreamweaver) file next to that photograph. I have not changed any settings recently and don't know why it would start doing that all of a sudden.
When I delete that DW file, all of the edits to that photo disappear and it reverts back to the original. Every time I click on the DW file, it takes me to Dreamweaver and opens a window with a whole bunch of code. How can I go back to having everything I do in Camera Raw save to/into the photo itself?

CorelDRAW X6 has been lovely and fast for me these last few months but the reason I quit Corel for a number of years was that, after a while it seemed to slow down. Now, suddenly, when I save a file of exit the program freezes for approx 35 seconds before finally closing. It makes no difference where I save the file (on my SSD C Drive or elsewhere). I have a 6 core, 32gb RAM etc and, as I was saying, it worked until today but suddenly this.
